Brooklyn Decker in red leather at the ESPYs: cute or meh?

The ESPYs were last night. Don’t even ask me what they are or what the award signifies, because I have no idea. Also, please don’t ask me who won what. Seriously, I cannot emphasize this enough: if you make me talk about sports, you will be so, so disappointed in how little I know. I pay attention to the Olympics… and really, that’s about it.

Anyway, here is Brooklyn Decker in a Jay Ahr strapless, leather dress. The shoes are gold Louboutins, and the hair is by your mother. That’s what kills me about Brooklyn Decker, who is genuinely a pretty girl: her messed everything up by chopping off her hair. I think she knows it, too. When she had long blonde hair, everybody was all over her. Then she chopped it off into a 40-year-old soccer mom style, and now, suddenly, no one really gives a crap about her. That’s the power of the hair! As for the dress – it’s pretty cute. I don’t think Brooklyn has much style in general (or her stylist hates her), but she managed to find a cute, young, sexy little dress. The hair almost kills it, but whatever.

Guess who else was there? Kerry Washington? I’m guessing, because THIS looks like the old Kerry Washington, the girl I was fond of when she started working a lot, circa 2004-05. In the past few years, it seemed like she had some Madonna-esque chicken-cutlet cheek implants put in, and she also looked rather emaciated. Well, she’s back! She’s gained some (needed weight), her cheeks look normal-ish… well, I think the cutlets are still in there, but the added weight doesn’t make them so noticeable. YAY!

Here’s a side-by-side of Kerry in 2008 and now.

To end: just a touch of Seth Meyers. Go ahead, touch him.

    Kerry Washington is soooo beautiful.

  2. hello says:

    LOVE BOTH PAIR OF SHOES!

  3. Truthful says:

    don’t even know the 1st chick…

Kerry has her moments, sometimes her face can be scary- with the chicken cutlets in her cheeks and the too big veneers and the skinny face.

she looks good here, hope she keeps it up.

  4. KJ says:

The haircut made people realize that Brooklyn Decker is ALL body and no face. I’m not saying she’s ugly, she’s not, but I don’t look at that face and go “Wow, what a beauty.” She’s pretty average compared to her swimsuit model contemporaries.

  5. Praise St. Angie! says:

like Decker’s dress, but HATE the shoes. She’s got fabulous legs.

  6. really says:

    They both look gorgeous!

  7. Heatheradair says:

Agreed that the hair made the girl – I actually never recognize her these days – I’ll be looking at a generic blonde with a decent figure and think “am I supposed to know who this is? she’s sort of like a less hot Kate Upton, sort of? OH – it’s Brooklyn Decker. Damn, shouldn’t have cut the hair.”

At least a good blowout would have helped here……I feel like red mini-dresses need big, vampy hair.

  8. She looks young and beautiful. Please..Please,stay faaar away from the face doctor.

  9. Sloane Wyatt says:

Since when do hooker heels ever look classy?

  10. the original bellaluna says:

Can someone please tell me what a Brooklyn Decker is? Is it a Brooklyn Double Dutch Bus?

  11. fabchick says:

Kerry looks good. I agree Brooklyn needs to grow her hair out or put some extensions in,that bob does nothing for her.

  12. Blue says:

Kerry is so pretty. I like Brooklyn’s shoes

  13. Stubbylove says:

Both look fabulous – love the dresses and SHOES!

  14. Blue says:

    Btw I love Seth, sigh

  15. spinner says:

    Decker looks so, so…awkward. ACK!!

  16. DemoCat says:

Brooklyn Decker is a swimsuit model, sometime “actress” and is married to Andy Roddick.

  17. Tiffany says:

Love the shoes! Hate the hair!
The ESPYs are the ESPN awards. Best athlete, best play, best performance.
    It’s the Oscars for sports.
I have a serious sports and shoe addiction. They don’t really go together, but that’s me.

  18. DeE says:

It appears Kerri’s weight loss allows her “high” cheek bones to look more pronounced. She looks great, but what are those, six inch heels? Other female looks great as well. I kind of like those don’t get next to me or I will cut you shoes. No leg crossing with those bad boys, need liability insurance for whoever sits next to ya. S.M….cool dude.

  19. linnie says:

they both look beautiful! :0 SETH MEYERS I LOVE U! 😛

  20. Nikki Girl says:

I just don’t get the whole Brooklyn Decker thing, she is crazy overrated IMO. Her body is decent though she doesn’t really have the hourglass figure I love, her hair is cute in an athletic/beachy way but inappropriately styled for this event, but her face is really piggy-looking to me. Honestly, she just has a Miss Piggy face in my opinion. Even my boyfriend doesn’t think she’s attractive, and we have a lot of differing opinions on who’s attractive in the celebrity world.

Kerry Washington on the other hand, is GORGEOUS. She looks impeccable in these pictures. Love her dress.

  21. Patricia says:

    Re: Brooklyn
I think it needs to be shorter, tighter and neon

Either that or she should just wear a huge “please look at me” sign – which is esentially all this dress is.

  22. nicky11 says:

brooklyn’s haircut makes her face look like mixture of reese withersppon & elin nordegren

  23. toto says:

the red dress looks like angelina black leather dress but without pockets

  24. mimi says:

I feel bad for these girls who are pretty, but tan way too much and really quickly “pay” with premature aging for their days in the sun, and then they go for botox too young and that ruins their faces.

  25. Susan says:

She is the perfect example of “butter face”…..great body…face…ehhh not so much…

  26. lola says:

Brooklyn decker = Blake Lively- Vogue/Chanel Hype

  27. Judy says:

Love Decker’s dress, except that it is 3″ too short…the heels are gorgeous!

  28. bugsy says:

Yeah, not digging the hair. But I actually think she looks pretty hot here. I really like her leather dress. She fills it out and her figure is great (who are we kidding? Her figure is awesome!).

  29. fizXgirl314 says:

man Kerry Washington is effing stunning…

  30. hatsumomo says:

Hey, if you gonna post pics from the event, cover Jonah Hill’s weight loss to. I wonder how much he lost in all. Literally, he half the man he used to be!

  31. KLO says:

That red leather dress looks totally 1998.

  32. ladybert62 says:

Her hair would be ok if it was brushed and looked a little neater – not impressed with the red dress.

  33. Ellen says:

Brooklyn is a pretty girl, but not breathtaking – long hair or short. I do admire her for cutting her hair off since it’s the exact opposite of every other swimsuit model’s hair out there. A woman doesn’t need long hair to be attractive/sexy.

  34. Dingles says:

I don’t get the Decker hype. She’s not pretty and her body isn’t even that great.

  35. Kim says:

Brooklyn looks like a bull dog with that smashed in face/nose. Not a pretty girl.

Wearing this dress is trying way to hard – look at me Im a bikini model arent i hot?! no you really arent.

  36. mimi says:

    Wow beautiful!

  37. Kosmos says:

Okay, I think Decker’s dress is meh….red is nice but it just doesn’t say much to me….the hair, not so bad, but then people want to change their styles once in a while. The shoes…horrible, why these? There are sooooo many others to choose from…strange choice. Kerry Washington looks very classy and well put together.

  38. april says:

The outfits look fantastic on both of them.

  39. Ellie says:

I don not see what the big fuss is over Brooklyn. She’s weird looking!
