  10. I’m disgusted that Nick is free to walk the streets while the “friend” is a vegetable. Nick was clearly at fault, drunk and driving, involved in an accident that resulted in his “friend’s” current state. And he gets 6 months?!?!? SIX?? Are you kidding me??? Anyone else would still be in prison… and rightly so! He belongs in prison still.

  14. listen, I am not saying the hogan kid didn’t do anything wrong - because he DEFINITELY did! - but i think his sentence was fair and he paid his dues. He didn’t fight the charge or try to pretend like he was innocent. He actually felt awful about what happened and he is going to have to live with what he did to his friend for the rest of his life. Not a lot of 18 yr old kids take responsibility at all, let alone like Nick Hogan has and will. And the fact of the matter is that the friend 1) choose to get in the car with him and 2) choose not to wear a seatbelt. Who DOESN’T wear a seatbelt in this day and age??? It’s a tragedy but people need to lay off this kid!

 Just like my sister was at fault for walking down the street one night and encountering rapist. The rape was entirely her fault.

  16. Is there no justice in the world?

“And the fact of the matter is that the friend 1) choose to get in the car with him and 2) choose not to wear a seatbelt. Who DOESN’T wear a seatbelt in this day and age??? It’s a tragedy but people need to lay off this kid!”

And John is paying for that choice with his life. Wow, what a fair trade!*/sarcasm* When you look at it that way, Nick totally needs more than 6 months. I will not feel sorry for Nick if bad things happen to him in the future because of this.

  17. How much do you want to bet he got loaded at his party, and jokes were cracked about taking his keys? This whole family sickens me.

And to those who want to place 50% of the blame on John Graziano, you’re all idiots. JG was of legal drinking age and since he was drunk, was being responsible by NOT driving.

When a licensed driver takes on an impaired passenger, they are assuming full responsibility for that person’s well-being with respect to the driving experience, including not starting the vehicle until the passenger’s seatbelt is buckled.

Graziano was young, too, and had just gotten back from already-life-changing war service.
    Sad, sad, sad.

  18. i’m sorry but you do not have any responsibity to make sure everyone in your vehicle is wearing their seatbelts… the guy is not a minor. he can make decisions for himself… the point is not to say that he deserved to be hurt for not wearing a seatbelt… the point is that it is a risk not to. it is also one’s responsibility to not get in a car with someone who is impaired especially since said impaired person is porbably incapable of making rational decisions at the moment… and should not be bestowed the responsibility of convincing others to make smart decisions…

  19. “Just like my sister was at fault for walking down the street one night and encountering rapist. The rape was entirely her fault.”

How can you suggest that is the same thing? A person can’t KNOW there is a rapist down the stret. A person can know however that getting into a car with a drunk person will probably mean an accident. A person can also know that choosing to not wear a seatbelt means the injuries you obtain in a crash are much worse.
