Public toilets are disenfected every day. Most people don't even clean their home toilets that much. They say it is very unlikely to get a disease from a toilet seat. Also - I think it's funny as hell that the high paid hosts of "The View" have to deal with messy bathrooms. They get it cleaned like once a day probably. When you squat over the toilet seat, the muscles of your pelvic floor (Kegel muscles) can't fully relax while your thigh muscles are contracting and you end up with a small amount of urine loitering in your bladder. This incomplete voiding is a perfect set up for getting a bladder infection. I can't imagine how one would have to grind on a toilet seat to get an infection. Those parts aren't supposed to touch the seat for the whole going-in-the-toilet process to work. Good luck with that! I hope the convinced hover pissers of the world will reconsider their stance. I just use a few layers of those toilet seat covers if they have them, and cover the toilet seat with toilet paper if they don't. Also, I kind of sit half-on half-off the toilet seat if it looks unclean. I rarely have this problem in Switzerland and Germany though, because the bathrooms are so freaking clean!
