I had kind of forgotten that Elton John and David Furnish were fathers now. Their baby boy, Zachary Jackson Levon, was born right around Christmas last year, which makes him seven months old now. These are photos of Elton, David and Zachary in St. Tropez today. I like that David is carrying him, just because… I’ve always thought that David was the one who wanted to be a dad. I don’t mean that in a harsh way or anything, and I’m not calling Elton a bad father. I just think that Elton was pretty happy with the way his life was, but that David wanted a baby and Elton went along. Soon after Zachary came along, Elton let it be known that they had already hired a bunch of nannies, that Zachary already had his own apartment, and that he (Elton) was already going back on tour.
I will say this – Zachary is super-cute! That is one chubby, adorable baby. My favorite baby (currently) is still Flynn Kerr-Bloom (he just looks gigantic and happy!), but Zachary is totally a doll. I think David looks great with him too – they look bonded and happy together. Elton seems more like, “Er, okay, what now?”
Oh – and Elton, David and Zachary are vacationing with Neil Patrick Harris, David Burthka and their twins. OMG! So many gay men, so many babies! I think Rick Santorum’s head just exploded.
PS… Zachary looks like Elton, right? Or am I imagining that?

That baby is adorable! I just wish Elton hadn’t already gone back on tour.
By the way, Gaga is Zach’s godmother, and David said the reason why they chose Gaga was so she can guide Zach into the music business, and Gaga confirmed that, saying herself she will be his guide into the business.
So basically what the three of them are saying is– if Zach wants to be an investment banker or biochemist, it won’t matter cause he will be in the music industry whether he likes it or not. Kind of sad. I mean, what happens if Zach turns out NOT to be a musical genius as they all want him to be? Genetics ain’t everything when it comes to talent. And it kind of sucks when your parents already have your entire future mapped out for you at 7 months old.

They look quite happy and I am so glad for that but that car seat does not look like it is adjusted correctly. The chest clip looks too low. Maybe it is just the angle the pic was taken at but please Daddies. I know you love your son so please adjust the clip to armpit level.
I might just be overly sensitive on this subject because I’ve heard far too many stories of babies being ejected from a vehicle because of this specific problem.
Then again, judging by many celebrities behavior, I should just be happy that baby is in a car seat.

I can’t figure out if Zachary really looks like Elton or if it’s just that Elton kind of looks like a giant baby.
He’s so adorable and so obviously loved and well-cared-for. I don’t know how anyone can look at them and say gay families shouldn’t be allowed to have babies or adopt. It makes my head hurt.

Also loling at the Rick Santorum comment–I have always been so annoyed by the gays-shoudln’t-be-parents meme. Isn’t there enough misery in the world? Not a day goes by without some horrifying story of child neglect, murder, beating, abuse… The more loving parents we have in the world, the better off kids will be. Who cares what the parents like to do with their sexy-parts, as long as they are willing and able to love and support their kids!

Zachary is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. Zachary and Flynn (Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom’s son) are the next generation of handsome boys. Two cuties.

Saw EJ on some late night talk show not long ago, and he said they had to add the “Levon” in there when he was actually “born on Christmas Day”! EJ sounded so happy, and seemed like a very proud, sweet, doting Dad, not a grumpy grandpa at all. I don’t know who he looks like, but he is adorable!
