Just days after Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth went public with their split, Kate was photographed with a “mystery man”. I think it was an attempt to be both coy and brazen – after all, Skarsgard had reportedly hooked up with at least one lady while at Comic-Con, before their split was even announced. Plus, the photo-op took place outside the Chateau Marmont – while the paparazzi were camped out there, waiting for Lady Gaga. So, The Bos had a “mystery man” – and she flaunted him again two nights ago, at the Coldplay performance at UCLA. In yesterday’s post, I made a big deal about The Bos and her connection to Chris Martin – they allegedly, reportedly had an affair in 2009 – and I ignored this pretty boy in the photos. I think he might be her new gay BFF, but People Magazine must have gotten a heads up from The Bos’s publicist, because they have the low-down on who the guy is and how he and Bosworth are new lovers or something:
So long, Alexander. Hello, Michael. Kate Bosworth, who recently split from True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard, has a new beau, PEOPLE has learned.
The 28-year-old actress stepped out with director Michael Polish Wednesday night to catch Coldplay at the Samsung and AT&T Summer Krush concert at the Los Angeles Tennis Center at UCLA. The pair were incredibly close (even kissing!) throughout the show, according to a source, and Polish had his hands around her waist during several songs.
The identical twin brother of his sometime filmmaking collaborator Mark, Polish, 40, is currently directing Bosworth in Big Sur, the film adaptation of the novel by Jack Kerouac.
He is also the director of several films including The Astronaut Farmer and Twin Falls, Idaho, in which he also costarred with his brother.

Is Big Sur the reason for the sketchy hair? It’s a period film, I’m assuming – the “period” being late 1950s, early 1960s, when the Jack Kerouac book is set. Did people do this to their hair circa 1961? I don’t think so.
As for Bosworth’s romance… sure. He looks like Benjamin Millepied, only smaller. I know the camera just got them at a weird angle, but it really seems like he’s only about five foot four, if that. A pocket boyfriend, only… he’s not so cute once you get him home. Maybe she figured her last boyfriend was a giant, so maybe she just wanted a relationship where she didn’t have to deal with chronic neck pain. Or maybe she just wanted somebody pretty to flaunt in case Alex is paying attention (Hint: I don’t think he is paying attention).

She looks dreadful, like, really awful. She also seems like she’s probably pretty hard work, but thinks the opposite.

Anyone else creeped out by the fact that a) she’s taking her new boyfriend to the concert of ex married lover? (what kind of straight guy likes Coldplay? and with all the cuddling and kissing was she trying to make Martin jealous?) and b) she’s using him and her home wrecking connection Chris Martin to court publicity.
Maybe he’s just oblivious I guess. But I love that Kate’s not stopping her famewhoring ways, hell she’s not even slowing down. Pretty ballsy to showcase your new boyfriend at the concert of your married ex lover (and not feel no shame for sleeping with a married man!). Look at that smug smile. She’s like I got this. What a step down in terms of hotness but I guess she couldn’t date anyone that looked remotely like Alexander or everyone would be saying she was still obsessed with him.
I have to say she doesn’t annoy me as much as she should. I don’t hate her in films and despite the fact she is clearly a publicity hound I just feel kinda blah towards her. All I know is I’m seeing Straw Dogs remake for the hotness that is the Skarsdong.

Anyone else find it ironic that Mr. Polish filed for divorce 3 months ago? And he is still wearing a wedding band. The movie started filming in April. And what is up with the magical appearing and dissappearing wedding band Kate keeps showing up with. Refer to pics from Chateau Marmont first sighting of 2 together. WTFIUWT
