Guess what? My recollection is that every time, they opted to put the coat on when given that choice. But I do know some kids who just go jacketless. They seem to survive to adulthood. Anybody know the size of the apartments? NY apartments can have pretty teeny square footage. That "apartment" could be room-sized! She is not going to know how to relate to other children, won't know how to share, or be empathetic. She is going to be totally confused and shocked if she is ever let out of her cage long enough to have to act "normal". Kayla said about her being around kids when she enters Kindergarten, but she's gonna have a private tutor. Tom will NEVER allow her to be "tainted" by being taught by a non-scientologist teacher. My son hated jackets too, hated em with a passion. But if it was this cold out and he would not wear it, he didnt leave the house. Plain and simple. I would find a sitter to come over or leave him with his dad, then run errands. I chased that boy and held him down and made him put a jacket on plenty of times. Was a pain in the butt, sure, but I preferred that over a trip to the hospital with a child with pneumonia/croup because I was too damn stupid to be responsible and make him where a jacket. *Comes out of lurking*

FYI - Children dont really benefit from socialization until the age of 3. Younger than that they are still very self absorbed and dont really "PLAY" with other children.
