I guess there’s a spoiler in the title, but since I have no respect whatsoever for Kate Plus 8 I’ll let it slide. The final episodes of Kate Plus 8 are airing on TLC now, with the series to wrap up forever next week. It’s been cancelled, and Kate will surely hustle and try to scrunch up her sour face into a semblance of a smile to squeeze whatever cash she can out of the public. There’s not much good will left for her now, and she’s pissing away the few fans she has left with her nasty behavior on the show. On the second to last episode, which aired last night, Kate bitched out her best friend and also the nanny for eating some pizza she had saved for the bodyguard Steve, who is rumored to be sleeping with her when he can stand her. The nanny got so fed up she left the road trip that the family was on. It’s unclear to me whether she quit or not, but I’m assuming so. ABC has a clip of Kate freaking out, that’s above, and below is a promo for the show in which we see the nanny Ashley crying and packing up. Here’s a recap:
The drama of the Gosselin family RV trip doesn’t stop until the end of the episode. When the new RV won’t start, Kate accuses the Kate Plus 8 crew of rigging the RVs. Of course, that isn’t the case. It is just some bad luck for Kate and her caravan.
When it is discovered that one of the kids is eating pizza, Kate blows up. She says there were only four slices of pizza left from the night before and those were earmarked for the adults. When the two ladies from the Party Bus note that they don’t want the pizza, she tells them that the pizza should go to Steve, who doesn’t eat mac-n-cheese or salad. She claims that the kid eating the pizza ruined lunch for everyone and now Steve doesn’t have anything to eat.
She tells the women in the bus to get Steve a piece of the remaining slices of pizza. Mady grabs the pizza and hands it to Steve. Kate promptly starts in again about how it is ‘disgusting’ for Mady to grab the pizza and that one of the adults should have wrapped it in foil instead of letting Mady grab it with her ‘dirty’ hands. This upsets Ashley, who has a breakdown. Frankly, it is surprising that she has lasted this long without a serious breakdown considering the way Kate has treated her and Jamie like children the entire trip.
Ashley remarks that everyone has enough food to eat because the two refrigerators are so stuffed that it is difficult to close them. Seriously? Like Kate couldn’t just run in at a store or a fast food restaurant to grab food for the people with her on the trip.
The whole incident was just the icing on the cake for poor Ashley. She notes that she has worked for Kate for five years and that this is the worst it has ever been. The Kate Plus 8 staff members send Ashley home. She has a sad goodbye scene with the kids. She reminds them that she loves them all and that she will see them again. It was a touching scene, and hopefully when Kate sees it, she will realize what a gem she had in Ashley. For the kids’ sake, Kate should apologize to Ashley and hope that Ashley will come back.
On her Twitter page, Kate tweets that she didn’t know Ashley was leaving. She says she was in her RV doing an interview. That is probably one of the smartest things the producers of Kate Plus 8 have ever done. Can you imagine the dramatic scene that would have unfolded if Kate had been there? It probably would have been much worse than any ever seen on this show.
The end of the episode finds the kids somewhat happy and the adults happy that the two-week trip is done.

Does this mean that vile Kate is going to have to downsize her lifestyle now that her show is no longer going to be on the air? Also, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If this is how she is when the cameras are rolling, consider what a nasty mean bitch she must be when she’s not being filmed. It’s exploitative for her kids to live with cameras like that, but consider the alternative for them. Her kids have got to be living in total fear.
Remember the several month period in 2009 when everyone thought that Jon Gosselin was the party at fault since he was publicly running around with all those coeds? Kate’s bitchiness trumps his douche factor several fold.

TLC is definitely throwing Kate under the bus. I never watch this show (really) but watched a Q&A show they did with her last night.
She was dressed like a truck stop hooker with her tittays literally hanging out and she responded to viewer questions. These were not soft ones, either – things like, “Where are your parents?” and, “Would you ever get a real job?”. Her answers – she hates her family, they’ve all betrayed her and, yes, she would be a nurse again but she’s sure she’ll stick with TV because that is what she loves. She did not come off well.

Happy that Jon got away from her. It was hard to watch how she treated him. Now she is doing the same thing to others around the family.
I always was and still am Team Jon. She is such a bitch and you could tell just how much of a bitch she was by Jon’s behavior.
I can’t stand the way she treats those poor kids, and now that they don’t have TLC paying for all those cool trips they get to go on and they don’t have the cameras around to monitor their Mom’s behavior, their lives are going to get pretty rough. I am really sad for them.
Why Child Protective Services has never stepped in to remove the children from her care given the thousands of hours of evidence of emotional abuse is beyond me. Kate Gosselin has at least two personality disorders from the bit that I’ve seen of her. She’s not a fit parent. It bothers me that TLC aided and abetted in the maltreatment of these children for this long.

I woke up @ 2:00 am and channel surfing saw this was on. I caught were she was rafting thru some canyon w/ everyone in 2 rafts. She b***he’d the whole way she didn’t want to get wet..can’t go that I’ll get wet… The kids couldn’t swin there went any towels so she’d get wet. I watched this thinking ok, I’m a sun worshipper, BUT I have enough sense that if I don’t like to get wet or don’t plan on letting children have fun and get wet..I am not going on a raft in a canyon where the water actually moves and you KNOW you WILL get wet! The whole segment she was just having the worst tantrum, I couldnt watch anymore so imagining her getting worse to me doesn’t make her sound like a b***h.. Makes her sound like an abusive b***h. I’ve seen women in my community have SRS called on them for less crap than this woman has done or said to these kids and those around her in front of the kids over the yrs. God yes, and that was when TLC was still editing to make her look good. Lord knows the tirades they were taking out. I’m suprised Jon wasn’t bringing his mistress home for dinner, just for some pleasant conversation. Other than the smoking and drinking, I will ALWAYS be on his side.

The show could have been interesting as hell and then earned her MORE income if she had treated the new show as How Lottery Changed My Life and showed how she pinched pennies to try to keep her lottery winnings despite living in a McMansion. If I had gotten her TLC paycheck knowing full well that the kids wouldn’t be interesting for much longer, every episode of the show would show me trying to extract as much use as possible in the remaining time left.

I never could understand why everyone was so critical of Jon, regardless of the co-eds, etc. And spending “her” money? That was his half of money earned on “their” show. I always felt like his brain probably went dormant from the day he met Kate, and he was just jumping for joy, growing up, whatever, when they split. I don’t think he’s a bad Dad, which is all that really matters. She, however, is dangerous.

I really dislike her and wouldn’t ever want to have to be near her or talk to her, but at some level I really pity her. She does seem to have some mental health issues, when she gets upset her hands flap. And she seems to HATE HATE HATE new experiences yet she flings her family around the globe and goes on and on about how she loves travel. I feel like she is running away from herself, but where ever she goes, there she is, she can’t escape the yawning pit of misery inside of her. In these episode clips her face looks so hard and angry and unhappy.

When the show ends and he goes, I think she could really go off the deep end. Even today as a parent I will not go in the kitchen to get my food if my husband and step-daughters are in there getting theirs. Dear God I had such a headache after last week’s 2 shows that I didn’t think I’d make it through last night’s shows. What a fiasco!!! No doubt in my mind now who is the bitch and thank God that Jon made the break from her. Those poor kids!!

@Mooshi- I couldn’t respond to the OCD comments at work but now that I am home you guys are so right about this wicked witch. My co-worker is OCD and it is a serious disorder, or at least it can become one. If you just decribe someone’s crazy behavior it doesn’t sound so bad, but added up it is freaking crazy. My co-worker can’t handle anything that she can’t control so she eats junk food and stops working out so that she can get her period to come when she wants it to because she can’t stand the unpredictable. She is a major germophobe too so much so that I hesitate to even stand next to her not knowing if that will set her off. Those are just 2 small examples. I thought I had problems but I have nothing on her. Not sure how she will ever keep a man who wants a control freak girlfriend.
I’m sorry, Iknow it’s been several months but I have been watching the old episodes on Netflix. You can almost see the moment in season 4 when it all starts to head south. After that, Jon can not even twitch without a string of personal insults.

I’m officially done with watching abusive behavior on tv. This includes the likes of people like Kate or others who are deliberately out to bully and ridicule like Simon Cowell.
I grew up with Ashley (Jon & Kate used to live about 5 minutes away from me before they moved to another part of PA), and she and her family have said since day one that Kate is not a nice woman (to put it kindly). She was so ready to be done working for her, but feels bad for the kids, she said it’s like leaving them in the lion’s den. It’s not their fault they have such a horrible mother :-/.
Kate is a perfect example, of why some are never meant to procreate.

Anyways I saw part of this episode and I was just appalled at Kate’s behavior. Her kids were acting up because she was just being so mean and just so callous. There’s this one part where they go to the Grand Canyon and I think one of the twins was whining… I don’t remember but I think she ended up leaving half her kids in the bus (with no AC because it broke down). I’m so glad they are canceling this show!
She has alienated herself from her own family and friends. Once the show ends she won’t have the money to pay for nannies or her bodyguard, her temper will only get worse, poor kids.

Thank goodness she is going away! I never watched her show but the glimpses I have seen of her are plenty. She is a bitch supreme. I am sure she sees herself as a real celebrity but she is nothing of the sort.

I had a mom like Kate, except without the money and the “celebrity” level attention. I’ve been hurting for those kids since the beginning, growing up with that unbalanced, vicious woman. Jon escaped, wise man, more power to him. And from what she says, he gets the kids at his place 2 weekends a month, and “they come back happy.” Good. Nobody’s happy around Kate. She’ll see to it.
When was the last time we saw her sincerely say anything nice to one of those kids? Spontaneously hug them? Smile at them? There is no affection between those kids and Kate. None.

Kate will have some type of severe mental break-down within weeks of receiving her last TLC check…the lavish lifestyle will end (and that’s all she cares about). I do think Jon has issues, but I would have issues,too if I had to remain in contact with a person like her for the rest of my life. Even in the beginning (getting pregnant again, after a set a twins, that the family could hardly afford, was a selfish move on her part. I am not indicating the other children should have been aborted,BUT she had to PAY a lot to get pregnant again. I believe she is truly all about herself…and sheds a few fake tears for the media. She is a mean bitch with every one she comes in contact with.I feel sorry for her kids she does no show them any love or affection. Like a mother should I am glad they are canceling her show. I wonder how she will make with out having the money that she is accustomed to having. Her and her so called body guard with have to get jobs. Like the rest of us do. When kids are old enough, they can choose whom they live with, and I can certainly see the day when Cara will ask a judge to let her live full time with her dad. They always seemed like 2 birds of a feather, enjoying skiing and such. The twins will be 11 next month, and for some reason I think 12 is the age where judges will take the child’s wishes into account.

OMG!! I think that everyone said it all. This is one crazy Bitch!! I can’t understand why she thinks that she is someone special. Everything she has gotten was handed to her on a silver platter. Kate will have a hard time finding any job after her true colors have come out. TLC couldn’t edit to make her look this bad when it is all her on tape. Why is Steve rafting? What was the security threat on the river? And why would a parent care more about what the body guard is eating than her own kids. She didn’t ask first if there was enough for the kids – she just jumped into Steve, Steve Steve. Jamie’s comment is very telling, that’s it’s all about him, isn’t it. Sounds like this isn’t the first time and she is fed up. Kate’s “tight” for money, but in new article says Steve is staying on. She can afford to pay Steve, but not buy the kids new lunch boxes or backpacks this year. And mommy dearest is now running around town in her new Audi convertible. Finally, everyone is making sense of why Jon left. She basically threw him to the wolves anyway. He is in a good place now. He is the best parent these kids have. He actually loves them to death for who they are, not what they can do for her.
Wow. Poor ‘woe is me, I’m unemployed’ Kate just bought herself a new car that cost over what I’d make in 2 years of working at my current job. And isn’t it cute? No arguments about kids coming with her (and Steve, of course) because there’s no room for you little brats! Mwahahaha! This is all just so telling about what is important in her life.
