Anna Nicole and Howard are not married, it was a “commitment ceremony”

In a move that screams “totally inappropriate publicity stunt,” Anna Nicole and her drugged lawyer, Howard K. Stern, had a “commitment ceremony” aboard a yacht complete with guests, an officiator, and speedboats delivering champagne. They claim it was meant to be a private affair, but then why did they invite guests, hold it at sea and make it look like a wedding?

Anna Nicole and Howard “escaped their house” at three o’clock this morning, according to their press release, “and boarded a boat to quietly sail the ocean around Nassau … on a clandestine sail to recapture simple pleasures — fresh salt air on the face, a sunrise on the ocean, and wind in their hair. And then a good thing happened: during the sail, Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern made a commitment before God to be there for one another, to be each other’s strength during this difficult time.

“By mid-morning, helicopters flew overhead, speed boats approached, and camera-equipped scuba divers invaded what had been an otherwise perfect moment of peace, solitude, and hope,” continues the statement. “The event was intended to be totally private between two adults deeply in love with each other and needing simple reassurances that they could count on one another through life’s ups and downs. The outing was never expected to be shared with anyone other than Howard, Anna, [her newborn daughter] DANNIELYNN HOPE and a few close friends and family.”

Although the ceremony was officiated, it was not a wedding and no marriage certificate was issued, according to the release.

Yeah, the first thing I wanted to do when my baby was three weeks old was go party it up with my partner. Now, it’s understandable to have a gathering for friends and family who came out to see the baby and comfort Anna, but why hold a “commitment ceremony?” It seems really hackneyed to me. Anna deserves every happiness and all, but this is a dumb move and people are going to stop feeling sorry for her soon.

No one believes this guy is the father of her baby, and holding a faux wedding isn’t going to change anything.

I pretty much stopped feeling sorry for her when I saw the picture she put up on her website as a “memorial” to her son. It was a picture of her in a wee bikini and a huge blindingly white smile with her son kinda off to the side. Of all the pictures she could’ve went with she had to pick one with her front and center. I thought that was disgusting.

I read somewhere that if Anna and her lawyer were to marry in the Bahamas, he would automatically be granted paternity of the new baby. I think it is just another way to try to get the real dad, Larry, out of the picture.

I think that she is controlled by Stern’s “people’ and ways of doing things quite a bit.
Something says don’t trust this guy.
He just may be setting himself up so he has more claim to the millions she may be getting…..
Where did Daniel get that methadone anyway? I would like to see the inquest performed.

Those two should be committed to an insane asylum for sheer stupidity and criminal neglect of children. Imagine having that woman for a mother? I would have killed myself before I’d turned 13. This Stern guy does not strike me as the brightest tool in the shed, what nut would want to marry this loser-gold digger is beyond me. I guess he’s got his priorities mixed up. He’ll find out the hard way. He’ll have his day in court (and in the bar after the divorce).

From an early crush on a beautiful bunny, through a train wreck of a reality show which spawned Bobby Trendy, hopped up on TrimSpa, all the way to now I have had a place for Anna. I think that she is in a hard place where she can not collapse and take the grieving time too intensely because she has an amazing little life she must continue for. When you are in the public eye everything becomes a “publicity stunt” when really you are just living while the world watches each movement. It makes sense to love someone she has trusted, I hope he is the child’s father and I hope that she come out of this in a good way.
