Peter Dinklage wins for Game of Thrones, where are the rest of the hot guys from GOT?

Peter Dinklage won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a drama series at last night’s Emmys. He was being honored for his performance as Tyrion Lannister in “Game of Thrones,” specifically for the Baelor episode where he parties into the night with a prostitute and a friend, his protector Bronn, and reveals some sad details of his past. The next day is his first on the battlefield.

My favorite line from his character on Game of Thrones was when the barbarian leader asked him how he wanted to die and he answeredIn my own bed, at the age of 80 with a bellyful of wine and a girl’s mouth around my c*ck.” That saved his hide at the time, to reveal a mild spoiler.

During his acceptance speech (below), Peter thanked the writers David Benioff and Dan Weiss, along with HBO. He also thanked his “dog sitter, whose name is Kitty, for taking care of my dog Kevin back in NY,” gave a shout out to the other nominees and told his wife he loved her. “I love you Erica, you’re amazing.”

Also at last night’s Emmys was Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) bringing his sweetness to the red carpet. Sadly missing were other supporting castmembers, particularly all the male hotties. We’re talking Sean Bean, Jason Momoa, Iain Glen, Alfie Allen, and Richard Madden. It’s possible some of those guys were there and just didn’t get their photos published by our agencies, though. The show is new and they still don’t have much name recognition.

The evil queen Cersei Lannister was there, though. Lena Headey’s Botox face on GOT bugs me so much. She has dark hair when she’s not in character, and she’s a hipster with a lack of style. I recently saw some photos of her at Comic Con and she looked like a cartoon character she was dressed so poorly. Here she is looking smug in head to toe black. Our photo agency, Fame, didn’t even know who she was and labeled another dark-haired actress as Lena.

Here’s how she looks on the show. All she can do is squint.

You forgot the bitter smirk (which is almost the same as the one she’s sporting in that top picture).

  2. Iggles says:

Aww, I love Peter Dinklage! He’s awesome and was amazing in GOTS!

  3. angelic says:

I saw pics of Jason Momoa and Nikolaj (whatever is his last name) at some after-party.
I’m glad Peter won and I loved his speech(especially the ‘dog sitter’ part!)

  4. gee says:

He is such an underrated actor! Now maybe he’ll get some of the recognition he deserves.

  5. aenflex says:

F*ckin right!!!! He’s a great and very funny actor!!!!

  6. Justaposter says:

He is my favorite character on GOT. And the feisty little princess.

  7. Kaboom says:

Not many good roles for a short person but he really leaves his mark in GOT. I’d say he’s hands down the best actor on the show.

  8. Roma says:

I love, love, love, love, love me some Peter Dinklage.

After watching the first season I’ve been listening to the audiobook and I constantly picture Peter whenever Tyrion speaks.

Sigh. I’ve really become such a fan girl.

  9. Chloe (not chloe) says:

I think the evil queen in private looks kind of badass

    Dinklage’s award is fully deserved

  10. Dee says:

So happy that Peter Dinklage won. He makes GOT worth watching, being brilliant in it…I followed the Emmy’s only in the hope of his winning…

  11. ahoyhoy says:

A talent like Dinklage comes along so rarely, who cares how tall he is? He could read me the phone book as a lullaby.
    So happy he’s finally recognized!

  12. Sweepea says:

Peter was probably very flustered at winning because he never mwntioned GRRM inhis thank you speech!

I disagree with your comment about Lena, her outfit at Comic-Con was very lovely.

Kit is very very yummy! I can’t wait for the second season.

  13. photo jojo says:

I love him. I think he’s an amazing actor. Anyone who likes him on GOT should check out the movie “The Station Agent”, it’s amazing.

  14. lolas says:

I think the botox actually works for Lena’s character as a sort of icy person (to say the least). Didn’t know she was so brunette in real life!!

  15. LeeLoo says:

Is it wrong and weird that I have a crush on Peter Dinklage?

I just think he would be someone you could have a really deep intellectually stimulating conversation with. He could have total mindsex with my brain. He just seems like a really smart guy in real life. Much like his character in Game of Thrones.

  16. Harley says:

The only reason I watched last night was to see him win. I love GoT and he is the best part about it! He absolutely deserved to win!

I like Lena, but WTF was she wearing?!?!

@LeeLoo- not at all-I have a crush on him too! 🙂

  17. phlyfiremama says:

Love love LOVE GOT! By far, the best thing on TV right now. The books are amazing too~

  18. Amanda says:

@Leeloo Why would it be wrong or weird to have a crush on Peter Dinklage? B/C he’s a little person? Who cares, girl. Embrace the crush!

He is awesome on GOT. I started reading the books and I am almost through book 2, and as I’m reading I can picture him as Tyrion so perfectly. He nailed that character and I’m glad for the Emmy win.

  19. strah says:

Lena Headey as Cersei is so ridiculously bad. She couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag. Every scene, every “expression” is the same. I doubt that quitting the Botox would help. I think she’s just a bad actress.

  20. Trillion says:

To be a little person with a last name like Dinklage could not have been easy. I’m glad he’s found success and recognition for his acting skills. I think he’s hilarious in Elf, my favorite Xmas movie of all time.

  21. xxodettexx says:

love peter dinklage!! prior to GOT on HBO, i was a HUGE fan of A Song of Ice and Fire books [and GRRM, esp] and i completely believe Dinklage as Tyrion [tyrion and arya are my ultimate fav characters and both of the actors portraying them have really brought them to life for me!]

so so SO glad he won!

  22. KO says:

Let’s get some pictures of the Master himself (if he was there), mr. George R. R. Martin!

  23. KsGirl says:

This guy is tied with the actress who plays Daenerys (sp?) as the best actor on GOT. Deserved win.

  24. 4Real says:

RIGHT ON! He so deserved it he was awesome on that show.

P.S. Wasn’t she in “300” because her character on GOT is pretty much the same only on the “bad side”.

  25. LeeLoo says:

@Amanda Thanks for the minor – but needed slap in the face.

  26. MsGoblin says:

    So glad he won.

So many of the actors on GoT are classically-trained stage actors. It’s quite obvious which ones…the good ones.

  27. UKHels says:

there’s some great actors on GOT and Lena Headey ain’t one of them!

    delighted he won

  28. Liamarie says:

Love him in everything he does, from “The Station Agent” to “Penelope” to “Game of Thrones.” Just a marvelous actor.

  29. smh says:

that was well-deserved, i’d hate Tyrion if it wasn’t for this actors sympathetic performance. I mean come on that character is into bestiality! But P.D. made him likeable to us (the audience) imo. Also, Sam Trammell from True Blood should have won but I doubt he did (didn’t watch the ceremony)

  30. Auds says:

He deserves his win. He is great in every role he plays.

  31. Imo says:

@#29 where doesbitbsay that character is into bestiality? I don’t recall reading that in the books, did I somehow miss that part?? Ick.. Eitherway, awesome actor. Totally deserved the win and yep kinda crushing on him lol

  32. Erinn says:

I love him. I have such a character crush on him lol.

  33. LittleDeadGrrl says:

Love the show and just started second book of the amazing series. I normally dislike fantasy but the books are great!

smh – Why hate him? He’s one of my faves in the book. Beastiality? Huh? I only read book one so maybe that’s a spoiler for the rest of the books but I don’t remember that in the first book. He’s into whores which nothing wrong with that …

  34. Seal Team 6 says:

He deserved an Oscar nod as Trumpkin in “Prince Caspian.” imo.

  35. Jilly Bean says:

    i lovelovelove peter dinklage!

and there is no chance in hell that there is any botox in lena’s face in season 1 of GOT, there is more movement on her face in one episode than i have seen on any actress her age’s face in years

  36. Nikki Girl says:

Well deserved win, he absolutely nails the role of Tyrion Lannister.

Also interesting- he and his wife are currently expecting their first child…they met through theater work and she’s of normal height for anyone that’s curious. They’re super cute together.

I am OBSESSED with the GOT books, I’m on the fourth one right now, they’re amazing.

  37. smh says:

@31 & 33 (Imo & LittleDeadGrrl) I haven’t read the books yet so this isn’t a spoiler really! Anybody who has seen the show might remember the earlier episodes where at least one person (Jamie) said that Tyrion would make love to goats and whores and in another episode, he is found inside a gate with a goat! granted he was only sleeping but that scene made me believe that Jamie wasn’t joking and I went “ewwww” But somehow the show is made to be more shocking than the books! In some other site readers said that in the books, Khal Drogo doesn’t rape Dany, that their wedding consummation was consensual. So maybe they added another shock factor? If so I’ll be pissed that they ruin these great characters just for the sake of shock…

  38. Stentor says:

Maybe Lena does do a lot of Botox, maybe she doesn’t, it’s something I hadn’t considered before. But I have watched her in 300, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, & the first episode of Game Of Thrones, and I have to agree with the others who state that she can’t act. It’s her facial expressions, it’s her body language, the way she expresses her lines, the totality of her stagecraft. She has a very limited range that seems to suggest that she’s surfing the crimson wave, or about to, is constantly full of bitter rage, & PMS is a part of her daily routine. She’s got PPOS, Permanently Pissed Off Syndrome, and it shows in her acting ability or lack thereof.
If she really wanted to change things up, completely surprise me, she should attempt an atypical role, not some victimized tragic female figure, and instead do a lighthearted comedic role, someone very ditzy or airheaded. Lisa Kudrow or Mira Sorvino in Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion springs to mind as an example.

  39. Cleo says:

Oh SHUT UP! Lena is the best! She’s beautiful and she’s got that very special touch that only very few actors have.

    Lena Headey FTW!

  40. I have learn several just right stuff here. Definitely worth bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how a lot attempt you set to make one of these great informative web site.

The author of this article is an idiot. Pure and simple.

  42. Annie says:

I’m sorry? ‘Our photo agency didn’t even know who she was’? I think you need to find a new one then.
