I can’t help it: I find Daniel Craig to be irresistibly hot. But until today, I never knew that my Daniel Craig crush had limits – these are photos of Daniel at yesterday’s UK premiere of The Adventures of TinTin: The Secret of the Unicorn. He looks… not sexy. What’s up with that? I think it’s the weird tri-color goatee that’s throwing me off. It’s definitely not the pissy expression, by the way. I love Daniel’s bitchface. He has the best “natural bitchface” ever – it’s even better than Jessica Alba’s. Usually, when Daniel looks like he’s about to tell someone off, I’m already hot for him. And I’ve seen him with a beard too – but I’ve never seen with this strange half-white/blonde goatee thing, and it’s destroying my crush.
The goatee thing could be for the new James Bond film, Skyfall, which is being directed by Sam Mendes (who used to date Daniel’s current wife, Rachel Weisz). British sources claim that Craig is growing out a beard for Bond, which will begin shooting very soon. If he grows out a full beard like he had in The Mother (that was a good movie – and his beard was a dirty, reddish, brownish blonde), it will be fine. Just as long as he doesn’t keep this goatee.
Incidentally, the more I here about Skyfall, the more worried I become. This isn’t going to be jet-set, big-budget homoeroticism amongst the glitzy spy community, with Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes oiled up and ready to go at various exotic locales. Sources say that Sam Mendes wants to make an “intimate” James Bond film. UGH! A source tells The Sun, “They’ve really scaled back. The lavish production and locations have been cut. There is only a reduced cast and crew traveling to the few overseas destinations. There’s not so flash hand-to-hand fighting, it’s gone back to blowing stuff up – including London’s Vauxhall Bridge.” Another source says that Mendes wants a film based on “characterful performances,” and “There are growing rumours Sam Mendes is cutting out the action scenes and making it Oscar-friendly.”

Still don’t get the appeal. His top lip is much too thin and I just can’t put my finger on it, I just don’t like his face, for whatever reason. The beard at least makes him look a bit like Christop Waltz, who I think is gorgeous, but not Mr. Craig.

I’m feeling concerned for the next Bond too, after reading this little synopsis. I’m sure it will be good (I love Daniel as Bond) but they better not mess with the formula too much.

FUG, Ugg, Wow, Bond’s gotten REALLY old. Why didn’t they want the handsome beautiful Pierce Brosnan? Brosnan looks better today than this guy does today.

NOOOOO! This is terrible!!! I’m a die-hard and I want ass slapping, pretty clothes and witty quips during hand to hand combat in an exotic locale!!
I really cannot deal with directors f*cking with the perfection that is Bond. I understand wanting to balance the cheese of the film with a little class (Casino Royal did this perfectly) but at a certain point (Quantum of Solace aka, “the Bond Identity”) it stops being fun, which is the whole reason for Bond isn’t it?

I’ve never really liked him as Bond he plays it too sulky and charmless. Bond and Oscars? Mendes is so up himself, if he wants to do a serious, angsty spy movie go find a John Le Carre script and leave Bond out of it.

I don!t know why they are bothering to remake 3 perfectly good Swedish movies. The trailer on the Craig version looks just like the original Swedish version. In the original version, I even thought the actor looked just like Daniel Craig – should have just given a wide release to the Swedish version. The beard is the same now as in the Dragon movie – just look at the trailer.

i only find him hot as 007. he sounds like such a jerk in interviews (pls contrast with the loveliness of your one and only Fassbender. also totally ok with ginger bond) it really kills off charisma.
i love the bond movies and this one sounds somewhat worrying, yeah. quantum of solace was pretty bad too so they need a good one.

I’m with Mika(?). Bond being Bond is what makes the franchise so good. IMO there’s no such thing an intimate Bond film.
I loved what they did with Casino Royale but they went too far with Quantum of Solace. If the pendulum continues to swing that way they’ll ruin it. Back it up a bit.
I saw Craig on Broadway (with Hugh Jackman – squeal!) and after the show I thought he would have left way before Jackman but for a guy who gives great bitchface he really gave back to the fans. Stayed for ages signing and posing for photos.

He’s really hot but he’s one of those people that’s better in motion. Remember all those people moaning and crying when they released his pic as the new Bond? And then they saw the movie and – presto!
That said, I just can’t with that outfit. Maybe he’s in such a biscuit haze he can’t see properly.

I think he’s a fine actor, and growing up on the Bond series, he’s done a fantastic job. And this is coming from a fierce dark haired Bond fan.
Loving Craig’s bitchface. I.LOVE.IT. And goodness gracious, the cast in the upcoming GWTDT movie gave me chills!! I am looking forward to this movie.
