I have my issues with Keira Knightley as a person, as a celebrity and as an actress, but for the most part, I do have a lot of positive feelings towards and about her. I think she’s a better actress than people give her credit for. I think she has one of the most interesting/enchanting/prettiest/oddest faces of all of the young Hollywood girls. And I think that Keira knows her own mind – she’s not the kind of girl where you can say, “Oh, she was led astray” or “someone talked her into that.” Keira knows what she wants. She’s not going to be talked into anything, and I admire that in a person.
I bring all of this up because I was looking at these new photos of Keira at the London Film Festival premiere of A Dangerous Method, and I happened upon this one:
WTF? Granted, it’s just a bad photo and the camera is much, much too close. But all of a sudden, she looks like a villainess in a World War II film. Like, she should be threatening Indiana Jones with her pet snake, who she has named Harriet Goebbels. I think it’s the hair, right?
As for Keira’s red carpet look, the dress is Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2012. The front half of the skirt is cream, the back half is black. That part of the dress I could have handled, but I have issues with criss-cross bodice. It looks really strange on Keira’s body – it makes her waist look thick, and her real waist is not thick in the least. Plus, I don’t like the length of the skirt at all. You could chop off three inches and the dress would be so much better.
I should note something, just because I’ve been paying WAY too much attention to the publicity tour for A Dangerous Method. When the cast began doing the film festivals, Keira looked really tight with Viggo Mortensen, even holding hands with him on several red carpets. On the other hand, she and Michael Fassbender seemed to have more of “sister annoyed by crazy brother” relationship – she didn’t even enjoy a good Fassie spanking! Anyway, here’s what I noticed: Keira didn’t pose with either men on the red carpet last night, and when the three of them posed inside the theater, Keira seemed to be pulling away from both. Hmm….

the mummy returns! ok seriously i agree with kaiser’s views on her acting, and usually like her style also, but this and the make up and hair combined… just makes her look like, well, this. and i’m convinced she has body dismorphic disorder because who can look at the mirror, see those sunken cheeks and still go “i’m huge”? she’s said that she’s huge before

I agree with Tanguerita. I quite like the front view–I feel she’s tall and slender enough to pull it off–but the rear view is not good.

I agree with @gee. Shorter or longer would have been better.
As for the no posing with the boys, maybe her/their publicists went all: “Are you out of your mind?! Don’t do that, that holding hands stuff. I know it’s innocent and fatherly/brotherly to you, but come on! You’re killing me here!”
Or something like that.

i agree with no one! lol i do like the dress and i love the way her ass looks in it… i dont care for the make up, and i would of rather the dress me a solid color, other than that i like this girl and she gets a pass from me.

If this is Keira Knightley, she doesn’t even look like the same person she used to. Her face shape seems wrong. Her makeup is truly awful, and the dress is just bizarre. What happened to her?

For me it is the shoes throwing off the look of the dress. She should have went with a sleek heel, a nice close toe pump.

I don’t dislike this look, as I feel she has the figure to carry it well (unlike most of humanity). I did want to point out how much healthier her weight presents lately; hopefully she’s finally putting that skeletal look behind her. She has healthy-looking upper arms. And a bum! Best wishes to her.

I don’t like the white front to the skirt portion – it makes it look like she’s wearing mis-matched outfits.

What is going on with her face? The corners of her mouth sort of just flow into the angle of her cheek so make it look like she has some kind of Dark Knight Joker Glasgow smile.
She’s had work done but most of it has been good. Now it seems she’s going too far. I hope she doesn’t end up with a cat face.

Her butt does not look saggy, and her cheeks are not sunken in- she has strong cheekbones. She has gained weight and is at a perfectly health weight right now. Fat people think everyone who is a healthy size is anorexic. And she hasn’t gotten work on her face done- it’s called gaining weight, getting older, makeup, and lighting.

Its the combo of the midi length and the ankle strap shoes. It cuts up he leg too much. a closed toe pump would have been much better. Otherwise, I think Keira has the steeze and the body to pull off most stlyes. I appreciate that she never looks the same twice.

That doesn’t mean the work she’s had done isn’t tasteful. But if she keeps getting things tweaked, then she runs the risk of going too far.

@Elvynn – She has not had work done on her lips and has not admitted to it. Paps were chasing her coming out of her dermatologist’s, asked her if she’d had her lips done over and over, she got tired of it and tried to blow them off with, “Yeah sure.” which then turned into “SHE’S ADMITTED IT.”
She’s commented in later interviews about how it was a stupid thing to say but that she was overwhelmed and very tired of it at the time, so she replied with sarcasm. Just look at older photos – she’s always had full lips.
