Hopefully this will be the last of the Hollywood Film Awards photos. This post is just some extra people that I wanted to discuss, and I’m starting with little Emma Stone. You guys know I like Emma Stone, although my love for her has been waning a bit lately, mostly because of her sketchy style choices. Last night was another fashion mystery: Why would a pale redhead wear a shapeless white sheet? The dress is Jonathan Saunders, and the shoes are (hideous) Christina Dior. I even hate her hair here.
Here’s Emma’s Help costar Allison Janney, who I love. I like her simple little dress, and I like her darker hair too.
Boys! Here are Joseph Gordon Levitt and Tom Felton. Is it just me, or is Tom Felton looking better and better lately? He’s a sexy young man.
Ray Liotta, looking… um… yeah, I’ll just say it. I still would. I would hit like a house on fire. I love him so much, and he’s lost some weight and he looks GREAT.
Here’s Felicity Jones and Anton Yelchin. I don’t get the Anton Yelchin thing, and Felicity Jones’s face bugs me.
Andrea Riseborough in Vionnet. She has such weird style, and she’s got one of those Cate Blanchett faces – she looks different in every photo, in every film.
And last but not least, Glenn Close. I love Glenn, but this outfit sucks.

So as Fall/Winter approaches, I see it is time for the Spring dresses and white shoes to show up on the red carpet.
And to be crude… oh hell yea, Ray Liotta could get it daily.

Emma Stone – oh no child! not them shoes honey! she looks like a ghost from the ankle up but with these shoes you can hear her coming. The men look dashing, tho’ Felton’s shirt made me temporally cross-eyed his smile brought me back.
Emma: Not my style, but I get the 20s vibe she is going for, and the earrings are a nice pop of color. But erm, maybe she should have cleaned her toenails?
I have olive skin, but still offended by all of the corpsey comments you make on this site. Pale skin shouldn’t be criticized any more than naturally dark skin. Fake or real tan orange leather: totally fair game, IMO.
Ahhh…I think Glen Close looks amazing. She is creeping up on 70 so I give her a pass. It’s good to see Allison Janney again; she looks fantastic.
Emma’s makeup is beautiful though! And I absolutely love her earrings!

Glenn…would SO have loved to see her in the top part of that outfit…with long, lean cigarette pants on the bottom…but whatever she dons…she is EPIC…
Ray…oh…Ray…you manic you…I would so hit it…like it was the Game 6 of the World Series and I was a Texas Ranger batter up at plate…
K – I could kiss you. Thank you for standing up for us pale people! I am extremely pale and I can admit it *really* hurts my feelings when people heap so much scorn on people because they have fair skin. Thank you again!
Maybe it’s the coffee high kicking in making everything seem right and wonderful with the world but man, what a string of beautiful people. The clothes, the hair, the makeup, almost all were total successes. And that includes Emma Stone! I don’t see anything oorpsy, she’s just a pale chick in a gorgeous white dress that would have looked better fitted.

Joseph Gordon Levitt is so underrated as an actor! I watched him again in Mysterious Skin, The Lookout, and 500 Days of Summer recently, and his acting abilities are truly amazing!
Glenn Close’s outfit would have worked well if there was less of it (i.e. not a full skirt). Alison Janney looks good. I love Emma Stone but she looks like a wreck here. I can’t imagine having to “dress up” for some many public events but I’m guessing a good stylist is worth their weight in gold. Just get a “uniform” that works (i.e. column dress or pant suit) and then stick with it. A somewhat unimaginative move but low risk.
I think maybe Emma Stone’s shoes would look cute with dark skinny jeans or something. But her entire look from head-to-toe just says, “I gave up” to me.
And as a pale redhead myself I will totally admit that while I love to wear white it’s really not our best color. I only wear it with a more saturated color like navy or eggplant purple (my fave clothing color lately). It’s also funny to me that people constantly talk about how silly fake tans look, then diss us pasty folk. But don’t worry, us ‘corpses’ will be the ones laughing when we look like Julianne Moore in our 50s and tan people look like Linnocent and Donatella Versace. 😉
I needed to come back and say how amazing Allison Janney looks. I was too distract by Ray earlier… to say how lovely she looked.
Those shoes Emma is wearing are way too clunky for that dress…actually not even sure what you would wear them with!
Felicity Jones’ face bugs you because it looks like the end result of Megan Fox’s plastic surgery but Felicity’s comes from those English rose genetics.
I think Emma’s outfit is a misguided effort to look 40s-ish because of The Gangster Squad. Terrible.
JGL has a sexy masculine jaw, and Tom Felton’s jaw is womanly. But the shirt with the suit is great.
Glenn Close looks like she’s there to receive a teacher-of-the-year award and chose a safe black outfit instead of making a fool of herself in front of the Hollywood types.
I can’t say anything negative about Emma because I love that she seems to be everything that Lindsay Lohan isn’t: professional, engaged, responsible. Yes, she is making some bad fashion choices (I think she needs to get Rachel Zoe to be her stylist) but at the same time, she is making great film choices, and I hope she continues to do so. I have written this before but I will write it again, I think that Emma is definately LL’s replacement. She is getting the roles that Lindsay, had she stayed on the straight and narrow, would be getting. But why hire Lindsay, or even consider her, if you can hire Emma Stone. It’s a no brainer.
PS– by “engaged” I don’t mean about to be married, just engaged in her surroundings, her life, the lives of her costars etc. She doesn’t seem passive or like she is hold up in some seedy Venice Beach Hotel doing blow all day.
Andrea Riseborough is usually such a natural stunner that her dyed hair makes me quite sad — it’s completely wrong for her pale skin, and she instead looks like Gillian Anderson’s older sister!
Allison Janney’s hair, dress, style and smile are perfect. She makes looking good look easy and breezy.
Love Emma Stone, hate those shoes.

I’m very pale & have sense enough not to dress in all white. I also wear an appropriate undergarment with sheer fabric & clean my toenails.
