Princess Charlene always looks so pained, doesn’t she? She always looks like she’s about to cry, like her drugs are wearing off, like she’s nauseous at the thought of her husband being close to her. She has a very emotive face – she’s like Princess Diana in that way. Diana could wear a pained, sad expression better than any princess. Charlene is following in Diana’s footsteps rather than Princess Grace’s.
Anyway, these are new photos of Princess Charlene and Prince Albert in Toronto last night. They were in NYC for a few days, where they did lunch with donors, then a big gala event for the Princess Grace Foundation, and they also did an interview with Matt Lauer. We had different ideas about the interview – I thought Charlene still seemed like she might want to escape, but that she and Albert had made a deal for her to stick around for a bit. Some of you disagreed, and claimed that Charlene is just fine and I’m making a mountain out of a molehill. We’ll agree to disagree. Anyway, Char and Al were in Toronto to open a Princess Grace exhibit “Grace Kelly” From Movie Star to Princess” – it contains lots of photos and letters and Grace paraphernalia.
I can’t find the ID on Charlene’s dress. My bad! I don’t like it very much – I don’t think black suits her. She looks so much prettier in bright shades, jewel tones, even the occasional pastel. Also: I hate ruffled sleeves. I dislike ruffle details in general, but especially on sleeves.

I felt sorry for her when I saw her crying at her wedding. That video was SO SAD! But obviously I miscalculated her love of millions of $$$$. She’s just in it for the $$$. I don’t respect people like that, really.

Ha ha. I just came from the Kardashian post. Compared to Kim her face looks awesome! You can actually see pores, lines, and emotion. Absolutely amazing compared to plastic girl.
I can sympathize with her non smile. I do the same thing and people think I am angry. It is just the way it is. Maybe the smiles got knocked out of her as a kid, just like me.
Met her yesterday!! I’m doing a consulting project with someone based in Monaco and got both the invite to the reception and the introduction to Princess Charlene.
Okay I met her for all of 30 seconds. But the gossip I got was that she is far, far stronger than she appears, that she was aware of the “surprise” illegitimate child all along and that she has upgraded her family in a very spectacular way – so we shouldn’t see her leaving any time soon.

She’s such a homely looking woman. Hair is drab and wilted, make-up non-exsistant. My god woman, you have money at your disposal to look amazing. USE IT.
She looks like she doesn’t give a rodent’s rectum what she looks like, very unpolished and clothes, make-up just thrown on. I think she’s trying hard to make the best of a bad situation but it’s not working. She’ll have a baby then they’ll quietly separate or divorce.
Well this is an overall fail.
The dress is a failure.
Her hair is a failure – she has very baby fine hair (like I do) – that means either cut it short (like mine) and/or use gel to give it some body (I do) or get it permed (eek – no) but to just let it hang out is bad.
@Embee – It was about 12 degrees Celsius in Toronto last night and maybe 5 degrees warmer earlier in the day. Not only were people sporting bare legs but others left their jackets at home. Our weather can vary just as wildly than anywhere else on the east coast.

BUT then there’s her cringly Madonna-like knees/legs-not to mention those snow shovel feet. . . She should get a professional makeover.

before the wedding she’s had her nose remodeled (looked from some angles it used to turn downwards) and her lips plumpened up. I bet other parts of her face have also been botoxed or filled, because it looks softer and substantially different than it used to be.
All in all, she’s the nearest thing to an inflatable doll you can get.

Okay- don’t yell at me- but doesn’t her body look like a healthier, more muscular version of Leeann’s? Oh, without the bolt-ons. With her broad shoulders and lack of hips. She needs to figure out what to do with that odd body type.
She looked so good a few days ago, in that picture with Anne Hattaway. What happened ? I think Albert is definitely an abusive guy who’s very good in flirting but then treats ladies like shit. He’s known for being very control-freak in Monaco, he checks out the situation of his kingdom every day and delegates nothing. I guess we’re typically in a Charles/Diana situation…
