Remember when Kate Gosselin went on the Today Show and dissed the fact that her ex, Jon Gosselin, had been working a regular 9 to 5 for over a year? She said “Jon may be accepting of mediocre for his kids and working a regular job and I want the best for my kids and the best opportunities, not unlike every parent. I think that to be a good parent is to work as hard as you can and give them the best opportunities in life.” So to Kate Gosellin a real job equals mediocre. How is she going to explain the fact that she just took a “regular” job as a coupon blogger for a company called Coupon Cabin? I’m sure she got a nice six figure salary in exchange for the minimal amount of work she has to do and all the publicity she’s getting for the company. There are probably over a hundred moms who currently run coupon blogs and would do a much better job for a fraction of the cost.
As we first told you last week, the reality TV mom scored a new gig blogging for bargain-hunting website CouponCabin.com.
So how did Gosselin’s first day on the job work out? Find out after the jump…

In a just-released video clip from the Indiana-based company, Gosselin is shown settling in with the crew by brainstorming money-saving ideas for her first blog post on Nov. 22.
The 36-year-old mother of eight is also seen taking photos with coworkers—as well as a portrait for the office walls—and learning how to navigate a computer.
“Another day, another city! I love my job!” Gosselin tweeted yesterday. “Coupons and saving excite me!! Yay!!!”

Well at least she got a job and it’s not on TV and she’s not pimping out her kids, for now. I clip coupons. I don’t go crazy with it and I try to only use them when it’s something I already buy and the coupon makes the item cheaper than the store brand. For brands I’m loyal to, like haircare products and some makeup, you can save quite a bit with coupons and that makes it worth it. If you’re spending hours tracking down the best bargains it kind of defeats the purpose. Also, if you ever buy anything online just search on the name of the site you’re buying on plus the word “coupons.” I pretty much do that before I buy anything.
Oh and since it’s Veteran’s Day I just learned that you can donate expired coupons to military families since they can use them on military bases for six months after they expire. That’s nice!
Getting back to Kate Gosselin, I’m sure she’ll soon alienate just about everyone she works with. Remember how fed up her dance partner, Tony Dovoloni, was with her on Dancing With The Stars? It was pretty clear from his statements after working with her that he basically couldn’t stand her. This is a last ditch effort for Kate after she was tried to pitch shows to multiple networks and failed. It’s still not “mediocre” enough for my taste though. That would involve Kate doing dirty, smelly manual labor.

Her marriage, DWTS, getting rich off her kids (show canceled), the kids clothing line with Health-Tex, her failed book, the cookbook that was so plagiarized Zondervan wouldn’t even publish it, that Twist of Kate show TLC decided not to even produce, friendships, relationships with family members, an egocentric attempt to support the Red Cross that backfired, everything!

#23 , The Duggars don’t put their kid’s potty chair outside and film it. The Duggars do not use the church to get money. The Duggars don’t do a ton of things that Kate does and guess what Michelle Duggar has yet to get herself a body guard, plastic surgery or change her way of dress. I have never seen Michelle be disrespectful to anyone, not her spouse, not her children, no one. Let’s get this clear as well, Jon didn’t run away, Jon was sent away after Steve arrived, Kate asked him to sign an agreement that stated he was free to do as he pleased as long as he showed up for filming. And so he did and then the TLC spin machine took over when he was doing as he pleased. And how do you know he didn’t “contribute a dime” for years? He was court ordered to pay something like $20,000.00 a month; I think that is a heck of lot of dimes. You can love Kate all you want, you can idealize Kate to make her what she is not, and Kate needs people like you to exist frankly. But I have every right to NOT like her based on everything I’ve seen and read about her.

Thanks for the note about donating coupons to military families. The military will mail them to bases and installations overseas for use. Stateside commissaries won’t take expired ones.
