Charlize is in Dior, because she’s the face of the brand and she’s shown the brand a lot of loyalty, even after John Galliano had his anti-Semitic episode and he was subsequently fired. Thoughts on the little black dress? As I rule, I don’t care for boob ruffled, but it’s pretty. On Charlize, it’s kind of boring, right? Charlize is so pretty and she’s got that amazing body, but she has not been wowing me recently, not even with her casual clothes. What is the promotional tour for Young Adult going to be like? Like this boringness?
My concern for her fashion is because I’m starting to get the feeling that Charlize is going to get a lot of attention for Young Adult. First of all, she rarely does comedies, if ever. Secondly, Charlize rarely does movies that people really want to see. She does so many serious dramas and depressing-looking films, and Young Adult sees her join forces with Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman, the pair that brought us Juno. I just think that this will be a hit movie for Charlize, and she might even get nominated for some awards. So she needs to bring it, fashion-wise. Here’s the Young Adult trailer once again:

Charlize mouth looks weird
My take on Charlize is that she’s not fashion-obsessed. I’ve never really seen her “putting out” like so many red carpet wantabes do (“putting out” fashionwise that is).
She’s beautiful and exceptionally talented but seems frustrated at the roles available to her so she just throws something on that always looks nice and makes an appearance.

Also, from watching the trailer I like it how she’s not “over-reaching” in her acting. Kind of like she’s hitting the mark by being subtle..which I like.

She does look pretty, but I’m seeing quite a bit of recent face filler; Her smile looks funky. I’m looking forward to this movie- Charlize does a great bitch.
She does a great bitch because from what I’ve read she IS a bitch in real life, apparently she can give Julia Roberts a run for her money!…..however, with that being said she is a great actress and I hope she is the one who plays Princess Grace in the bio pic..
I kind of feel indifferent towards this movie, as pretty as Charlize is, she just doesn’t have that comedic timing and always looks so vacant in the eyes. She has the same dead eyes as Prince Albert’s wife.

As far as Charlize in the little black Dior dress? Well, OF COURSE SHE ROCKS IT! I seriously cannot see how anyone could even UTTER the words “boring” and “Charlize Theron” in the same sentence. She is anything BUT boring.
Charlize is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood presently, & has been for such a very long time. I’m still trying to wrap my head around how you (Kaiser) can think Charlize looks ‘boring?’
I’m really not trying to give you a hard time……but….what exactly are you looking for/expecting….w/Charlize? I dunno…but if anyone’s expecting to see Charlize gracing the red carpet sporting Goth, or a multi-colored tri-hawk hairdo in order to not be “boring,” well…forget it.
Charlize, at least TO ME, is just flawlessly beautiful. Whenever I see pictures of her looking as gorgeous as she does in this write-up, I always tend to think of her as a modern-day Grace Kelly.

i wanna like her, but for some reason i kinda don’t. not sure why.
i think she is pretty, is a good actress (ex. monster/new snow white flick), has a great bod, her style is ok (except for the unfortunate ‘orange’ fiasco when she got the oscar). however, something is always missing for me. it’s like she is veneer only.
Careful Alix don’t give Albert any ideas! I do like the dress on her but she seems to wear variances of it to every premiere and award show lately.
Beautiful but I hate those natural color shoes. A beautiful pair of black sandals would have looked better !

The movie looks good and I like the concept but there’s something odd about Charlize’s performance. Maybe it’s because I’m so used to her in dramatic roles, seeing her doing comedy seems weird.
I agree- there is something weird about her performance. I don’t think the movie looks very funny at all, the only time i laughed (and it was a small laugh) was when she is at macy’s getting a dress. Juno was so funny, I am surprised Diablo Cody would do something unfunny like this movie :/
I agree too.. something seems odd.. like she is maybe not the right person for the role.. although she seems quite *believable* in it. Hard to put a finger on the disconnect though. I think part of it may be that the subject matter is not really funny.. a woman trying to steal another woman’s husband – especially when it’s done by an old girlfriend – is not typically fodder for humor. I don’t know if that’s something we find to be a “funny” situation, even though it happens all the time. It inspires subconscious (and overt) feelings of wrath.. not laughter. Just my opinion of course.

She’s gorgeous, and could look great in a paper bag. Love the shoes, the rest of the outfit is a bit meh, but they eyes keep being drawn to those stunning peeps which just make the whole get up a lot more pretty.
I like her fashion sense. She physically reminds me of Elke Sommer when she was younger. I like that CT doesn’t always show up on the red carpet with body-hugging or body part-revealing gear. Very feminine.

Wow so many people rate her. I just don’t get her, besides being very very pretty – she doesn’t do much for me at all in the acting department. Besides Monster – where she did a ‘Nicole’ and made herself ugly, I can’t think of anything else she blew me away in.
