Miley Cyrus on her 19th birthday: I “smoke way too much f&*#ng weed”

It’s been about a year since Miley Cyrus’ huge bong scandal, wherein she smoked a weed-like substance in a video that was allegedly taken at her 18th birthday party. In the aftermath, Billy Ray’s mullet declared that he was so sad over the video and then went on to further discuss his related woes in a GQ interview. In response, the Osbourne family collectively declared Billy Ray’s remarks as really inappropriate, but I never realized until now that Miley and Kelly were extremely tight friends. That is, Kelly organised Miley’s 19th birthday party, which took place at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. Also present at the party were a unicorn pony, midgets, and some stripper-like creature (you can see the semi-NSFW photos here). And yes, there was another slightly incriminating video (available here) taken as well, which features Miley declaring herself a huge pothead because of her Bob Marley birthday cake:

Miley Cyrus is a “pothead” and apparently she doesn’t care who knows it.

At least that was the “party line” at her private 19th birthday bash last week at the Roosevelt Hotel Beacher’s Madhouse Club in Los Angeles. In a video obtained exclusively by Flash, when Kelly Osbourne presents a cake to Cyrus emblazoned with the face of a ganja icon, the former “Hannah Montana” star cracks, “You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake – you know you smoke way too much f***in’ weed.”

“I thought salvia was your problem, man?” retorts Osbourne.

Osbourne’s quip was a jokey reference to the infamous bong video that surfaced after Cyrus’ 18th birthday party last year, in which Miley was caught smoking what she later claimed was the legal herb.

This year, Cyrus is apparently out in the open with her predilection for reefer. even with mom and dad – Tish and formerly estranged Billy Ray Cyrus – in attendance.

“Everyone in the room knows she’s a pothead,” our spy said.

Not that you needed to be high to enjoy this party. In addition to Rumer Willis, Victoria Justice and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, the fete featured furries and a number of dwarfs, including a mini-Nicki Minaj.

[From The Daily]

Since the video’s release, Kelly has stepped up (via her Twitter account) to defend Miley by saying that the pot-related remarks were all a misunderstanding and, in fact, based upon a joke that originated after Miley’s Salvia incident:

So were the cake and Miley’s verbal reaction all merely part of a joke that even Miley’s parents were in on, and furthermore, does it really even matter? I’m inclined to not take this video very seriously (except for Kelly’s newly grey hair, wtf?) because — while I never enjoyed smoking pot the few times I tried it a few decades ago — this is pretty tame stuff, really. Miley isn’t exactly a member of the DUI club, and she’s hopefully not into anything harder than marijuana. To put it simply, she’s no Lohan.

Here are a few photos of Miley out and about earlier this month:

I hate myself for saying this, but I like her outfit in the bottom picture. The red cardigan looks good on her. Ugh.

  2. Cherry says:

Jeez. She’s 19. EVERYBODY smokes pot at 19. I don’t get what the big deal is.

    • Anais says:

Not EVERYBODY does, Cherry. Some of us have standards.

      • flourpot says:

        Standards?

If you really think that smoking a plant that grows naturally in the wild brings you below the standard of, say, smoking a government regulated chemically induced tobacco product that legally kills you then you need to get your head out of your ass and do some reading.

That high horse you’re sitting on is about to tip over.

      • xxodettexx says:

i agree, while her statement that “Everyone” does pot at 19 is vastly exaggerated, saying that “some people have standards” is really snotty and judgey, especially considering some of the best doctors, nurses, judges, attorneys and other tampa professionals i know smoke pot, still now, into their 30s and 40s… there’s no reason to put people down because they chose to do things you didnt…

      • Mika says:

I agree that this was mean. If only there was a way for Anais to relax, with, I don’t know, something natural but effective. If only there was some kind of plant…

      • Erinn says:

I don’t think Anais necessarily meant it to come off as rudely as it did.

I have never smoked pot, but I don’t really care if others do. I’ve never smoked a cigarette either… so I think the response about smoking a cigarette was also a little preachy by assuming that she thinks that smoking cigarettes is better. I can’t stand cigarette smoke. Makes me feel ill. But it IS a little hypocritical to chastise her for making assumptions when in the same post are making assumptions as well.

      • GirlyGirl says:

Standards? You’re sarcasm is thin and gramatically incorrect. Lousy US education system/political system/fundamentalist silliness ( i could go on )

I think you mean self-control as such

“Not EVERYBODY does, Cherry. Some of us have self control and also realize fully the deleterious effects of THC and choose not to smoke pot.”

      • Erinn says:

        @Girlygirl
When complaining about other people’s grammar, maybe check your own first. You just said “You are sarcasm”.

The Canadian educational system is pretty lacking as well, obviously. And I can say that, being Canadian. What a surprise to see a Canadian dissing the States. That hasn’t been done a million times before, has it?

      • GirlyGirl says:

Lighten up Erinn, quit white knighting.

      • Anais says:

What’s grammatically incorrect about saying that I have standards? I do have standards of conduct and behavior. Maybe if you smoked less weed, you’d have better reading comprehension.

      • Mrs. Odie 2 says:

Your argument here is about word choice, not grammar.

    • Trek Girl says:

I didn’t smoke weed at 19 or at any age. Not everyone is interested in getting high or drunk.

      • GirlyGirl says:

Well good for you Trek Girl and way to go Anais!

Everyone else head up to toronto, we’ll get the bridesmaids blu-ray and light it up…

see where the TO night takes us eh?

      • GirlyGirl says:

except for Erinn, she’s a bit of a buzzkill

      • Anais says:

Wow Girly Girl, your parents must be so proud of the classy, civilized human being they raised.

  3. Quest says:

It’s a party in the USA!

  4. Jacq says:

That just set legalization back about 25 years…

    • Franny says:

Exaggerate much? How does her admitting she smokes pot have anything to do with legilization?

I really don’t care one way or another, I just am annoyed that everyone is all about blaming others and exaggerating something so dumb.

  5. ShanKat says:

    You and me both, Miley.

Kelly O lied about her own drug use for years…so it’s tough to believe her now. But I love her hair!

I think they make pretty cute friends.

  6. normades says:

I find it really distasteful that they hired midgets for the party.

    • CloudSailor says:

My thoughts exactly! A fun-filled party with your friends and family…and some midgets to entertain them ??!!? :S

BTW I think it’s not really the munchies but more like her becoming a (not specifically attractive) young adult.

    • Linnie says:

It’s not like they forced the midgets to do it. Strippers, midgets, magicians, flaming torch jugglers, your Dad getting really drunk and singing MacArthur’s Park, where do you draw the line?

      • normades says:

Sure the midget’s getting paid but I don’t think it’s funny to hire people based on their physical shortcomings esp to “amuse” Kelly Osborne and guests (yes I said shortcomings).

The whole evening sounds really tacky.

    • Jag says:

First, the p.c. terms are “little people” or “dwarves.” Second, it’s not like they went around and kidnapped them, then forced them to work. It was a job for anyone who was entertainment there. Third, Miley can go back to staying out of the tabloids again, please.

  7. Agnes says:

Who cares? She could be drinking and driving, which would actually be harmful, instead of smoking up.

  8. Cirque28 says:

For a 19 year old former child star, she seems pretty normal, which is good.

  9. elfie says:

    Soooo Hardacore!

  10. tapioca says:

Just say “no”, Miley! For the sake of stimulating conversation if nothing else, for marijuana destroys your joie de vivre quicker than a zombie bite. Seriously, anyone met a pothead who didn’t bore you to tears inside of 60 seconds?

    • xxodettexx says:

ive actually met quite a few hilarious potheads… very motivated, high work ethics… again: NOT EVERYONE that smokes pot is a loser moron, like not everyone that drinks alcohol is a loud overbearing douchebag…

    • Cirque28 says:

What about Hunter S. Thompson? More of a joie de guns, but not boring!

  11. Nibbi says:

Um, this is still an illegal drug, and she’s still a child. WTH is up w you guys being cool w this?!

    • xxodettexx says:

i’d be much more outraged if i saw her stumbling out of clubs and driving drunk [psst, alcohol actually destroys more lives that pothead ever will…]

    • ShanKat says:

In California, it’s legal for 18+ with a recommendation.

    • Sara says:

She’s over 18, who cares if she is going through a pothead phase? Something being legal or illegal has nothing to do with the harm it has on society or one’s self. If it did, alcohol would certainty still be illegal. She probably uses a vaporizer to smoke it, which negates any ill effects of smoke inhalation. I don’t agree with children smoking pot in any way, shape or form. But 19 is hardly a child.

    • dean travers says:

Maybe it’s just because I’m stoned, but this thread is F#$@G hilarious! How many adorable squares post here?I wanna pinch your precious lil cheeks, you paragons of virtue!

    • Elizabeth says:

Omg all yall hatinn asses stfu… Fact: wtf do you care if she smks or throws a party with midgets??? Is she asking you to join her? Dammm worry bout ur own and if you say ur kids look up to her and blah blah blah, and you’re all mad well keep ur kids busy with activities or something and away from the media and trust me you won’t experience any problems. Let her live her life the way she wants again, wtf is it to you???

  12. Mika says:

So THAT’S why she’s been chilled out and less annoying this past year!

  13. Amy says:

She’s not a child anymore. She is over 18. She may be under 21, but that doesn’t mean much except for the fact she can’t legally drink in the US.

  14. retyah says:

I’d rather smoke weed than drink any day. I’m not a Miley fan but its not that big of a deal.

And Kelly is hilarious, love her!

  15. Adrien says:

Well, after Amy Winehouse, Kelly’s now moved on to Miley. Run, Miley, RUN!

  16. Jover says:

First, this hick smoking a little pot is no argument for or against legalization; moreover, who cares, she’s a has been already no talent no disney corporate backing no crap in Wal-mart. No sympathy for her she made her millions and she’s not even taking acting or singing lessons let alone pursuing any education; this gravy train will end. When you’re crap isn’t even sold at Wally world you know you’re at an end.

  17. Mitch Buchanan Rocks says:

That looks like a fun party 🙂

  18. Cerulean says:

She is becoming increasingly more irrelevant as time marches on. Her career is DOA.

  19. GirlyGirl says:

    A teenager smoking pot?!?!

    Who’da thunk it eh?

  20. outofafrica says:

    Where’s my comment????!!!!

  21. BerMan says:

Boring news bump to have her name planted on the merry go round. Must be a tour or album/movie coming out.
Oh, bother . Yawnnnn. – Have a nice day. NEXT !

  22. NM9005 says:

    Oh no the drama *eyeroll*.

  23. Onyx XV says:

Oh, AS IF Miley Cyrus smokes “way too much” weed. She probably smokes rarely, if ever. This is so obviously some kind of childish ploy to acquire “hip” points. If she was truly hip (at all), she wouldn’t need to try so hard to show it.

  24. Happy21 says:

She’s 19 and many, many people go through their pothead phase much, much earlier than that. For me it was between ages 14 and 16. I got over it and turned out fine. Some people didn’t and still smoke up but they aren’t total stoners, they are professionals who work, own homes, have families and are generally smart. She seems pretty together for a child star and she’ll either get past it or she won’t. If she doesn’t then she’ll just be like Brad Pitt or Woody Harrelson or Matthrew Mcconaughey or any of the numerous stars who admit to smoking a “J” on a regular basis.

  25. Esperanza Spalding says:

everybody experiments with drugs when they’re young, at least weed & salvia is all she’s doing!

  26. Feebee says:

If smoking some weed is the worst she gets up to then I think she’ll be fine.

  27. maggie says:

I’m 27 and I’ve never smoked pot. Now i know why she’s a blimp, total pothead.

    • dean travers says:

Total fatass, you’re right Maggie! How do you even time to post here when you’re not manning the pro-ana site? Clever Girl!

  28. ShanKat says:

If she smoked a lot, she wouldn’t have gotten SO high when she hit that, err, “salvia.”

  29. whatevs says:

oooohhh how ~~edgy~ srsly she was leaking all her inappropriate pictures of herself before, getting her friends to film her while hitting salvia, etc. to create “scandal” now that it hasn’t worked, and her budding fame seems to have died thank god, talentless chipmunk face decided to straight up tell how edgy and effed up she is. all this at the age of 20 what a loser

  30. GirlyGirl says:

    😛

  31. JaneWonderfalls says:

She’s 19, If I sit here and pretend I was a saint, I be on fire right now! Not condoning drug use because I have seen what it can do to people, but everyone does not go down that same path.

  32. corey says:

I’m probably the only one on here that thinks that its quite possible that Kelly is telling the truth…..She did reference the scandal in the speech and I definitely sensed a tone of sarcasm throughout..It really does look like a set up, like a good razzing from friends.

  33. Caity says:

Am I wrong or is Kelly Osbourne supposed to be sober? Doesn’t look it from these pics…

  34. Evelyn says:

I used to really dislike her, but she’s really not bad. I don’t like her music, but she’s 19 and she smokes weed, big deal

  35. jacquie109 says:

I’m sorry but there are so many worse things she could be doing. Smoking pot is pretty tame…
