Victoria Beckham is the recipient of “The Flynn Kerr-Bloom Effect” from me – meaning that I like a celebrity baby so much, my opinion of the celebrity baby’s parents greatly improves. I adore little Harper Seven Beckham. She is one adorable, well-dressed, well-behaved, gloriously chubby babies I’ve seen, and I like Victoria and David Beckham so much more now that they have little Harper.
Anyway, these are photos of Posh and Harp at LAX yesterday – they’re flying into London to attend tonight’s British Fashion Awards. I love how Posh isn’t carrying any luggage, or even a purse. I’m sure she has “people” for that, but not even carrying your own purse in an airport? You should always have your passport and your boarding pass close at hand, for the love of God. But Victoria knows how to put together a candid photo, and how to treat every candid photo shoot like she’s owning the catwalk.
The Mail pointed out that for the flight, Harper’s ensemble included a pair of ribbed Chloé tights, at the cost of £30 a pair (approximately $50 or so). Would you put your baby in $50 tights? Meh. So far, Harper has been clad in Stella McCartney, Bonpoint and Marie-Chantal. I want Harper to grow up to be a dirty-jeans-wearing tomboy so badly.
Anyway, I’m sure Posh will be front and center at tonight’s British Fashion Awards. Her fashion lines are doing very well, and she’s really remade herself into a modern designer, hasn’t she? In a recent interview, Posh discussed her business:
The Spice Girl told WWD: ‘There are quite a few video conferences at 5 a.m. with me in my dressing gown, holding baby. For me it’s no different than it is for a lot of women out there. It’s like juggling glass balls. I love it.’
The mother-of-four has also been busy creating an e-commerce site, which will go live next year. Victoria’s fashion label is going from strength to strength. She said: ‘Though I’m trying to take baby steps, the business is growing very quickly. Our turnover year-over-year has increased over 120 per cent. I think to anyone’s standards that’s very impressive.’

Posh has celebrity clients too – Kate Winslet wears her designs, as does Jessica Simpson and Cameron Diaz (I’m just naming these off the top of my head). But whenever I point out that a celebrity is wearing VB, most of you absolutely hate the ensemble. What does that mean? Does it mean she still has work to do?

I’m sure that her purse, suitcase and a stock full of diapers, wipes and baby clothes is on a giant rolling cart right next to her. And I know I”m gonna get flamed for this but I am just not seeing all the cuteness in this baby yet like her boys…=/ I’m sure she’ll grow into her looks though.

@Lucy: yes the boys are handsome and Harper more plain in the face but she wins by a mile with that chubbiness and cute pout. I LOVE chubby babies, you just want to hug them and never let them go. I always though VB was borderline anorexic but having a healthy baby girl shows I was wrong. I always worry that celebrities with weight issues will try to pass on the unhealthy eating to their children. VB gets points from me for showing that it’s not the case with her. Plus carrying that baby with one arm shows she is stronger than I give her credit for.

How can she (Posh) look so pissed off while holding that sweet, chubby, little muffin? I seriously doubt she has to juggle sleepless nights, nursing, working 8 hours a day outside of home, plus feeding and cleaning up after her older kids — like most Moms — and she still can’t crack a damn smile while cuddling her baby!

I think Victoria Beckham’s done a great job with her clothing and bag lines. It look like she’s gone with the style of L’Wren Scott (Jagger’s gf who also had a line of clothing that was simple and body conscious yet ladylike). I like the majority of her clothes, although you do need to be a stick to wear them well. And if Ihad a spare $3-4K I’d buy one of her bags at the drop of a hat.

Where is the nanny that is schlepping the diaper bag, purses etc. ? Always wonder if they are told to stay waaay back so they don’t get in the pics. Jolie-Pitts also don’t carry anything.

Yes Jolie does she keep everything in the big handbag she carry’s she uses them as dipper bags I’ve seen pictures of toy, blanket and jacket hanging out of her handbags. My sister does the something she doesn’t want to carry both a handbag and dipper bag so she but ever thing in a handbag big enough to carry all of her kids stuff.

I am just so delighted that FINALLY celebrities are dressing their children properly and aren’t letting them out of the house looking like hobos. I like my stars (and their offspring) to look like stars, thank you. If I wanna see someone looking greasy and tired I’ll look in the mirror.

From everything I’ve read, they’re involved, great parents. I’m sure she adores that gorgeous baby-but how much effort does it take not to smile at your own child? I know that’s her “thing”–but in every photo I’ve seen of her with Harper she’s NEVER smiling-it’s bizarre-o.

I do agree that we aren’t seeing much of the boys these days – but maybe it could be because the media is more interested in the new baby at the moment and aren’t taking as many pics with Vic and her boys as they are of Harper.

I have a baby girl (just turned a year) and although I am very frugal with our money, if I had Posh and Becks type money, you can bet baby would be wearing the cutest tights available!! Baby girls are SO easy to buy for, it’s dangerous!

Victoria and David are renown for their hands-on, strict parenting. Those boys of theirs are ridiculously well-behaved.
VB has said often that she knows people think she’s a ‘miserable cow’ because she never smiles. So I think it’s done with intent. Not because she actually IS a miserable cow.

She said in an interview that I watched that she hates her smile. But then she smiled and was so pretty. I wish she weren’t so self-conscious about it because her baby girl needs to see a smiling face around her to feel happier.
What I want to know is if Harper is a baby that hits often because in most every pictures, Posh is holding onto her arm as if to keep it still.

I can’t see a thing wrong with the Beckham style of parenting. Maybe some day Brooklyn or Cruz will write a tell-all and we’ll learn about the wire hangers and peeing with the bathroom door open when there are guests, but for now the kids are all healthy, well behaved, well mannered and seem happy. Beckham has been seen a lot with his boys lately, they seem to be doing a lot of manly sporty things, leaving Victoria to play dress-up with that adorable squishy little Harper.
