Bradley Cooper dating Ewan McGregor’s alleged mistress, Melanie Laurent?

Sometimes, everything lines up in a really interesting way. As I was looking through the new photos this morning, I saw a collection of pics of Zoe Saldana, fresh from her breakup, looking rather sad and slightly unkempt. I thought, “Gee, is she fishing for a new boyfriend? Whatever happened to those rumors about her and Bradley Cooper?” Because Bradley Cooper might have been the reason Zoe split up with her fiancé, after all. And then I saw these photos – Bradley Cooper on what seems like a DATE with Melanie Laurent. You may know Laurent from Inglorious Basterds (she was the French girl, Shoshanna). You might also know Melanie from her rumored affair with Ewan McGregor last year, when Melanie and Ewan were photographed looking coupley and intimate.

So, is Bradley scooping up Ewan McGregor’s former mistress/girlfriend? I don’t know. WENN says that Bradley and Melanie went to see a movie together in Paris, and from the action in the photos, I’d say they went with a group of friends, although it looks like Melanie and B-Coop headed out separately after the movie. I didn’t even know Bradley and Melanie knew each other – but you know Bradley is fluent in French and he loves being in France, so maybe he’s closer to people in the French film industry than we realize.

What’s the current thought on B-Coop and his public liaisons with ladies? I used to think it was just the high-profile ladies pushing these “relationships” on B-Coop, from Jennifer Aniston to Renee Zellweger to Jennifer Lopez, but now… I’m starting to wonder if People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive hasn’t been playing us all along. Maybe he’s the one who wants to be connected publicly to all of these ladies. Maybe he’s the famewhore who (fake) dates for publicity.

Anyway, I do kind of like Bradley and Melanie as a couple. I guess she and Ewan are completely done then?

EMC and his wife have an open marriage. They can date outside the marriage and bring people in. It’s no secret anymore. I doubt if he really cheated on his wife, he would do it so publically. Not all marriages are conventially sexually and/or emotionally monogamous and it’s good he and his wife found their way in the institution and can make it work (obviously). He often states he’s lucky to have his wife and that she is the best thing that ever happened to him and it shows. Good for them. I wish I was that evolved but I’m a possessive girl. Me no share man =).

Cooper wants to be a filmstar and I think he’s looking for a woman who has recognition but isn’t a famewhore (Zellweger) but at the same time isn’t afraid for photo-ops either when business lurks around the corner (exit Zellweger). Zellweger is really grounded, very shy and extremely insecure, BCoop needs some woman in between who he can form an A-list couple with but values privacy too. I suspect he has issues (what star doesn’t?!). Keep on looking homeboy.

    Melanie is so pretty btw.

I don’t know why, but stories like these annoy me, mainly because Bradley Cooper made a big ta-do about how he wants to keep his private life private and that he will never talk about it. But he continues to be seen with high-profile women, which will elicit conversation, especially if he ‘changes’ women as much as he changes his drawers.

Again, he can date who he wants, but if he wants the talk/speculation to stop (although I doubt he does), he should pull a Vince Vaughn and date someone who is so removed from the business that it won’t become gossip fodder.

I don’t think it’s evolved to be in an open marriage. I think it’s counterproductive. Why marry if you’re going to screw around?

You think it’s counterproductive and I think it’s counterproductive too because it’s a lifestly that wouldn’t suit you (or me). That doesn’t mean it doesn’t suit other people and if you think about it, the divorce rates are very high in this day of age so really, what does counterproductive mean anyway on a grand scale?

Biologically men are made to “hunt” and it’s very hard to maintain a sexual monogamous relationship so if you can beat the system by giving in to completely natural urges, forget about boundaries that others want to force upon us and your partner agrees and joins that idea and can make marriage work or even make it better and happier, then why not?
Also, people forget that over 80% of people (mostly men but a growing large amount of women too) cheat. It’s more wishful thinking these days that your partner is faithful. they just keep it a secret because they love their partner but cannot conform to these norms the CHURCH laid upon us and that people took over for the norm. I think there is a small amount of own ideas and will but the majority of the ideas are decided by society and nobody does not want to be part of it.

There is no such thing as the romantic marriage. It’s a modern invention. In other cultures it’s the norm to have more partners or in Sumatra the Batak people permit male homosexual relationships before marriage. Does it work? Yes.

My views on a lot of things changed since I’m reading up on sociology. Your own ideas must be pushed aside to accept other ideas or perhaps just what’s natural but what we pushed away to force stereotypical behaviour upon ourselves and others.

      I’m rambling now so I’ll quit….

Ewan and Eve seem to have a strong marriage, stronger than some of the other HWood couples out there who do cheat and lie about it.

      No.
Do you speak French btw =)?

Anyway, he speaks it really well and he might phrase his sentence differently because it’s his second language but all in all he speaks it fluently and I understand him perfectly. Ditto for the accent, he’s got a good general accent. If you go to the Northern part of France the dialect is so terrible, you can’t even understand if you didn’t grew up there so I think BCoop’s accent is a generally good one. He can go to most parts of France, Belgium and other bilingual countries without any language barriers. It’s amazing he can speak it so fluently while he resides in America. I wonder how he maintains it.

Ewan has a mistress, what a surprise! Raise your hand if you think that Nicole Kidman was his lover during the filming of “Moulin Rouge”. (Oh, puhleez, who could blame her?)

That second picture says it all for me – chicka, boyfriend or not, is into Coop.

I agree with OPs, Coop is looking for a good relationship that will elevate his star power. It’s got to be a bit of challenge though – everyone has been with everyone else. (ick)

I like him more now than I ever did. Limitless impressed me and he did really good work in it. I’m not a huge fan-girl, but his name could now sell me a ticket.

Sorry, don’t agree with the whole ‘open marriage’ concept one little iota.

It’s such a sacred covenent that should never be entered into lightly. Why sh*t all over the church and God and everybody’s families for the sake of some bizarre, new age twist on the concept? Open marriages don’t work out?

As perfect example, look at what happened to Demi and Ashton. So much for their ‘open marriage’….>>>>>>>>

If you wanna throw open your doors to the cows, don’t go into the cowshed in the firstplace. If that’s the way you roll, stay single. Simples.
