Olivia Munn “got” the cover of the new FHM UK. Because that’s who she is, honestly. She’s a model for men’s magazines – that’s her career pinnacle. The photos aren’t sexy to me, but I’d just like to point out how much I hate this photography style that Terry Richardson has really popularized – where women (and sometimes men) are photographed to look like they’re taking a break from shooting a pr0n. Like, the lighting is too harsh and they’re barely clothed and they look like they’re covered in a mist of baby oil. It’s gross and it’s not sexy. I guess I should mention that Olivia is “showing some skin” – but she’s shown more skin in previous men’s magazine shoots, so meh.

As for the interview – I still don’t understand why people like Jon Stewart and Tina Fey are standing up for Olivia’s career. Why Olivia and not, say, Mindy Kaling? Why not someone who can back up their hype with a lot of talent? Tina Fey would say that I’m being sexist, of course, that I’m judging a “pretty girl” too harshly and that sexy girls can be funny. But just read this and tell me if Olivia really seems as vapid and pandering as I think she is:

She’s not exactly the shyest actress in Hollywood. And Olivia Munn certainly needs little reason to cover up her enviable curves. The confident 31-year-old stripped off for a sexy new photo shoot, exposing her tanned back in a very brief pair of denim hotpants. She showed off her incredible figure for the latest issue of FHM Magazine, also stopping to chat in a revealing interview.

Understandably having recently written an infamously graphic novel, she didn’t mince her words when it came to the subject of sex.

‘When it comes to sex, I think anyone’s an idiot to say they’re an expert on it. I mean, I have sex, but it’s individual for each person,’ Olivia divulged. ‘You know, like, guys always have that one f–king ‘move’, some stupid s–t, like putting his thumb in your mouth. And it’s just like, “What are you doing? Who told you this was hot?’

‘I’d love to date a comedian,’ added the star. ‘Stand-up comedians are really smart, brilliant people. To make someone genuinely laugh is a very hard task. If you have that ability, that means that you have empathy, you can feel things in life. And that’s a very attractive quality in somebody. Those guys are smart.’

Clearly a man’s girl, Olivia also admitted: ‘I get so addicted to Videos games. I get really focused in on it and I cannot live the rest of my life. So If I get into any kind of first person shooter game, I’m done and you won’t see me. I’ll skip meetings and stuff to sit in and work on my video games.’

And then she goes to the opening of an envelope. Well, she’s got hustle, and I guess this shtick is working in some corners – Olivia just worked with Steven Soderbergh in Magic Mike, and I’m sure more film roles are coming.
