Kris Jenner taught her daughters to “develop this amazing work ethic”

Here are some more photos from yesterday’s Hollywood Reporter “Women In Hollywood” luncheon – I talked about some of the fashion girls here already. This post is just for the dumb famewhores Kris Jenner and Bethenny Frankel, who posed together on the carpet like they’re trying to pool their lying-famewhore resources. Kris was the one who gave an interview on the red carpet, though. And Kris is the one who will make you roll your eyes until you convulse:

Many believe she is the puppet master behind the Kardashian family’s business success. And Kris Jenner revealed the secret to her success as she attended the prestigious Hollywood Reporter Power 100 Women in Entertainment breakfast in Beverly Hills today – hard work. The glamorous family matriarch said it was values instilled in her by her parents and grandparents that have allowed them to flourish.

She said: ‘I spent a lot of time very young paying attention to what was going on around me and I think that somehow seeped in. And then my mom and my grandmother ran businesses and stores from the time that they were really young. So I think you watch, you do and you learn from your parents. I also wanted to teach that to my girls and I love that they have developed this amazing work ethic, and that’s how they live their lives. It feels good to work hard and do something that your proud of and that you’ve accomplished.’

Kris, 56, managed to shine in a daring tight leather jacket, black knee high skirt and stiletto boots. And she revealed she even gets up at 4.30am so she can have a productive day.

The early bird said: ‘There’s a lot of stuff going on at my house. We’re usually filming a show on some level, and I gotta get that workout in, and get breakfast and kind of get my head together so that I feel calm.’

And Kris said she is particularly excited. as her son Rob said he wants to follow in his fathers footsteps and become an attorney.

She said: ‘He might want to go to law school. Nancy Grace really encouraged him to follow that dream of his. He wants to be an attorney like his dad.’

But she was more defensive when the subject of her daughter Kim being hit by a public backlash following her shock divorce from husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days.

She said: ‘Kim’s great she’s good. I just say, you know what, you can’t judge anybody else, you gotta look at your own life. Everything happens for a reason.’

[From The Mail]

Ugh, where to start? Rob Kardashian wants to become a lawyer? Rob is 24 years old already – the typical age of a second or even third-year law student. I didn’t even think that Rob had graduated from college, but his Wikipedia says that he graduated from USC’s School of Business… which means, what? He’s got a Bachelor’s or maybe an MBA. So maybe he will end up going to law school – although I seriously doubt it. More likely he’ll just stay on the famewhore path.

Oh, and “I also wanted to teach that to my girls and I love that they have developed this amazing work ethic, and that’s how they live their lives…” Bitch, getting paid to show up at clubs is NOT WORK.

Here are some more photos of Kris and Bethenny. How rough does Bethenny look?

With those shoes and her stick legs, Bethenny is giving me intense Olive Oyl vibes.

    • Karen says:

I think her shoes are wearing her. They look like the shoes for the physically impaired to adjust for handicap.

  2. Tierra says:

Whats up with her nose in that 2nd pic?
It looks like she has some kind of a nub glued on it.

    • JudyK says:

Was also going to comment on that nose…WOW…result of too much plastic surgery.

“And Kris is the one who will make you roll your eyes until you convulse:”

Perfectly said, Celebitchy…so sick of her parroting the same B.S. over and over and over and over. And, once again, she is 61…NOT 56.

    • Tierney says:

That’s what I noticed right away, too! Really terrifying.

    • crazycatlady says:

Yeah – it looks like there’s some Michael Jackson action going on there. As if it was cut off and re-attached.

  3. fabgrrl says:

Work ethic? Land some rich, older man when you are 18 years old? Spend his money for fifteen years until you get bored and leave him to hook up with another rich husband?

    • cmc says:

I’m not a fan, but for what it’s worth the three oldest (Kim, Kourtney, Khloe) opened their first Dash store when they were pretty young, right? Prior to this crazy famewhoring stuff, they were actual business owners that (arguably, I guess since they had staff) worked every day. And as much as I totally don’t consider what they do work, they don’t rest or take vacations. They “work” every single effing day, although we all wish they’d give it a rest already.

      • Palermo says:

but did they earn the money to start up the store themselves? I always figure if Mommy and Daddy give you a business to “run” it’s not like you did anything yourself. I certainly don’t consider any of them businesswomen, having somebody plaster five pounds of makeup on you and pose you in front of a camera for a photoshoot is not working. Which of these girls could do a 9 to 5 anything, for one week?

      • Rachel() says:

Palermo: My family is putting me through college right now. So any success I have after that is due entirely to them and won’t count as real work?

      • NeNe says:

I personally think that they do rest and take vacations. We are only seeing what the cameras show us, not what is really happening. I find it hard to believe that they do not take vacations.

      • It is ME!! says:

Rachel: So you are saying you have it harder than someone who joined the military to pay for college, or who had to take out loans to pay for college, or who had to work to put themselves through college?

The Kardassians had plenty of family money to back up their business if it had failed. It’s much easier to succeed in life if you are born on third base, as opposed to being born in the stands.

      • Shannon says:

I think Rachel probably meant that just because her parents are helping her out, it doesn’t negate the fact that she works hard. One doesn’t cancel out the other. She didn’t say she deserved more praise than those without parental support. Calm down.

The Kardashian obviously have good business sense. Look at them. They could have been bankrupt by now, but they managed to make a profit & extend their fame beyond Kim’s sex tape.

Also, their dad was a hardass who made them work if they weren’t going to go to school. Kim started out as a stylist, & Kourtney went to college in Arizona. It’s not like they’re Paris Hilton.

  4. Blue says:

Kris really needs to stop with the heavy handed eye make-up. Is too much plastic surgery the reason why her nose looks like that? She’s not really 56 is she? I did roll my eyes but no convulsions 🙂

  5. Quest says:

    Kris J nose is weird

    List of Amazing work ethics

    -lying, famewhoring
    -sextape
-nude playboy and other magazine shoots
-pimping family to media for money
    -pimping out the family brandzzz
-Reality show and all the spinoffs

these are truly great or amazing work ethics

    • Carolyn says:

      to add to your list:
      * marry a series of wealthy men (no civilians thanks) to maintain lavish lifestyle (Kris)
      * support husband in defending an obviously guilty man for murdering your friend. Must have received a lot of money for that (Kris)
      * hustle hustle hustle…no product too dodgy to promote

If I had a mother like this I would see it as a checklist of what not to do.

PS. What is Rob going to think when he’s sitting in class with the teacher discussing ethics and responsibilities of lawyers? Is he going to have a meltdown when he realises what his parents did for OJ Simpson?

      • Abby says:

I thought she and hubby #1 were already divorced and she was already married to Bruce (#2) when she had the chance to save Nicole’s life… instead of OJ making news.

In a way, she’s probably glad Nicole and Ron got killed, otherwise, how would people outside LA know her ex husband, which lead to people knowing them?

  6. Dani says:

The average person w/a 9 to 5 job is crying in their cereal right now. Hard to muster any respect for people making millions off of exposing every detail of their lives and being catered to as they float through their days. Kris try getting up at 4:30 and then going to work as a nurse for 12 to 14 hrs. per shift then we will see after a few months of that how you feel. Sorry, just had to vent.

  7. brin says:

She taught them to be annoying famewhores, just like her.

  8. judyjudy says:

I’ll take my bare bones lifestyle over their rich “work ethic” any day.

  9. Bubbling says:

That nose is three seconds form falling off

  10. Kelly says:

I’m really resisting the urge to make a joke about the strong work ethic and porn.

OK – Kim works really hard… she does her best work on her back! Actually, no she doesn’t – she’s pretty lethargic, from what we’ve all seen.

  11. Scarlett says:

You know that this situation will not last forever. When their “fame” will fade away guess who will be first to blaim. I think it will be pimp mamma.

  12. dorothy says:

I think she meant they work for her 10%..famewhoring, porn videos and selling your daughters and family out for cash. Not sure that ethics of any kind are involved in that.

  13. Bambi says:

It looks like someone stuck a piece of silly putty to the end of her nose.

  14. Jag says:

Wow, it looks like they pinched in Kris’ nostrils in a really bad fashion. Bethanny looks okay, but still too skinny for my taste. They both have the fakest sort-of smiles, so why bother even smiling? Yuck and yuck.

  15. weeble says:

Mama Kris is right. Most pimps do teach their girls the game. And that is exactly what she has done. She has pimped her girls using sex and babies and they know the game now.

  16. girlindisguise says:

    What amazing work ethics?

Whoring? Posing for the camera? Whining? Getting married for publicity?

If that’s all it takes to succeed then color me amazing.

  17. MJ says:

Bethenny should really consider wearing her hair down. Yikes.

If that’s what a “Skinny Girl” looks like, count me out.

  18. LeeLoo says:

So what she’s saying is she taught her daughters to whore themselves out for money because she’s too old to do it herself anymore? Okay, I get it.

Did Bethany Frankel always look this tore up? Yikes.

  19. Lynne says:

Kris has a son too, but she only mentions teaching ‘her girls’ to have an amazing work ethic.
Good luck to Rob the forgotten. I hope he can get a good score on the LSAT and grind out three years in law school.

    • j says:

I agree….Poor little Rob… I thought he promised his Dad on his death bed he would go to law school.

  20. truthful says:

    “proud of?”

what the hell have they accomplished, that isn’t based on a bunch of lies?

they act like they have a talent or have honed a USEFUL skill.

her nose looks horrible and Bethanny is a joke, MO lies.

  21. Cathy says:

    PUKE…GAG….BARF

  22. Kimbob says:

OMG, I’ve commented on her nose before, & it seems no one else noticed. I’m glad we have a close-up pic of that nose now. It is gaross beyond words. Pig woman!

  23. Filthycute says:

    Kris: whoremaster!

  24. Rachel() says:

To start with, I think Kloe and Kourtney did legit work in their stores a lot…

  25. sarah says:

I hate all the kardashians but you have to give it to rob that he graduated from one of the top schools in the country. 24 isnt too old to go to law school. one of them might as well have an actual career that can support themeselves since their 15 minutes was up an hour ago.

    • Sassy says:

Yes, he could be the lawyer for their “Brand”.

    • DarkEmpress says:

Its too bad his father passed away, I think Rob would already be on a professional career path if he had his father as a living example, instead of his mother. I always think that of the girls too. If their father was alive, would they really be doing this?

  26. NeNe says:

Since when is famewh*ring considered work?

  27. Denise says:

Lainey Gossip had a brilliant piece yesterday about the death of the movie star. The movie star is being eclipsed by the reality star; more is the pity. Yes, Kris, it does take good work ethic to be a big a&@$$ famewhoring. In fact, famewhoring is an art form.

  28. Happy21 says:

Bethanny Frankel looks like death. PERIOD.

  29. TG says:

Love love love Bethenny’s shoes. I want those STAT!

  30. LMS says:

Why criticize going to law school after the typical age? You might be surprised to learn that many, many law students start at a “nontraditional” age. Don’t criticize what you don’t know about.

    • Happy21 says:

I don’t disagree with you at all! I work in a law firm and two of the 5 that work here went to school in their mid-20’s. They started off as a logger and a carpenter. Sometimes it takes some time to figure out what you want out of life. I give Rob K. credit if he actually does it because not only will he have a real career, he’ll hopefully be able to get away from the drama that is his family.

      • Agnes says:

I graduated from law school at 30 – it often takes people time to figure out what to do and to mature (you can REALLY tell the students who went to law school right after college, they seemed to appreciate it less and treat it like an extension of said college – generally). There were people in my class who started law school in their late 20s, 30s, 40s and even 50s. Maybe that didn’t used to be the case, bur it is now, at least in 2nd and 3rd tier schools. How is that a negative thing? If we all did what was “typical” for the legal establishment, there would be no female attorneys, no minority attorneys etc. etc.

As an aside, Alec Baldwin has a podcast called Here’s The Thing. He talks to Kris Jenner in one of the interviews about the daighters’ work ethic, drive etc. Please. Just sit down, both of them. Haha.

  31. Franny says:

Unless you graduated in 3 years, and went directly to law school, you would not be 24 and a 3rd year law student.

Plus I’m 24 and trying to get into med school, so its not like 24 is way too old to go to graduate school. I just graduated from undergrad!

  32. ladybert62 says:

So she gets up at 4:30 to have a productive day – hum, big deal! I get up at 3:00 every workday and get to work by 5:45 to start my productive work day and I am older than she is – but then again, she makes a lot more money than I do – so maybe I should start sleeping in until 4:30 and then maybe my income would increase? ha ha – just a thought!!

  33. Shelly says:

I like Rob. He and Khloe are the only tolerable ones.

  34. Feebee says:

I’m giving Rob a break. I think he’s emotionally suffered from having a mother like Kris and one sister in particular trading on her ass.

Khloe’s reported comments through the ‘divorce drama’, lead me to suspect that she secretly wants to slap the hell out of Kim.

On GMA, Kris’ good friend Lara Spencer referred to her as “Kris Kardashian” not Kris Jenner. I see the end of her marriage in 3…2…

  35. G says:

Actuaolly, I do think their calendars are full and they work pretty hard.

I just think they’re over exposed and have really over played their hand with that wedding debacle. They’ve had a good run. Time to invest it well and move on.

    • whatever you want it to be says:

I can’t think of anything they do that could really be considered hard work, especially when you have people doing everything for you.

  36. Ann says:

For the record, 24 is not at all too old to consider law school. I have no clue if Rob Kardashian already has an undergrad. If not, he’d end up being one of the more mature students if he had to do a 4 year bachelor’s and then law school. Still, many people enter law after another career or time off figuring out what they want to do. My friend managed to finish her bachelor’s a year early and started law school at 21. She was they youngest by several years and many people were in their late 20s/30s just starting out.

  37. SkyNet says:

Um… Is she totally forgetting that they became famous because her daughter got her snatch beat up by Brandy’s little brother? Gross. They’re all gross.

I have no idea where this Bethany came from but she’s annoying and needs to start eating healthy.

  38. Kim says:

My parents taught me a very different work ethic that certainly doesnt involve sex tapes and fake marriages.

The picture is the scariest thing i have ever seen!! Kris and Betthany are the fulgiest, fakest, worst plastic surgery nightmares to ever hit reality tv!

  39. Criss says:

Many lawyers are second career lawyers. This is why several reputable law schools offer night or weekend classes. And the fact of the matter is that this family is laughing their way to the bank. They probably don’t give a crap what anyone thinks as they get their weekly massage, facial, mani, pedi etc…At least they’re not a bunch of drunk, drug addict, fist fighting jealous morans. And besides, Kim’s probably slept with less men than most women have. Start counting….

  40. Mamahawk says:

Rob has a BA from USC.

  41. sam says:

How does Robs age matter in relation to him being able to study? That comment was unecessary.

  42. laylajanelovesgossip says:

Two HIGHLY unattractive women, that happen to be wealthy and famous(famewhores).

Exactly whose c–k did they suck and are they teaching classes or doing weekend seminars?

I thought the casting couch was for attractive people not this!!!

  43. dahlia1947 says:

OMG I think I’m gonna barf! You’ve taught your pet Kim how to make money w her a*s. That’s what you’ve taught her.

I’m not going to say anything about the others cause they don’t seem as fame whorish as Kris and Kim.

  44. Moi says:

Work schmerk! Pimping them out as fame whores is more like it.

I think the only “talent” here is being able to suck a ball through a straw.

  45. Lisa says:

If you have to keep convincing people, you’ve done it wrong.

  46. Dana says:

Times are tough out here for a pimp.

  47. bappi says:

Isn´t it sad that I just can´t help but really like the Kardashians? Am I crazy?

  48. theLevelTruth says:

aren’t their fifteen minutes up yet?

they offer nothing – there is nothing there, and yet it’s apparent that they are smarter than their audience.

famewhores – even worse than Heidi and Spencer.

  49. norma says:

they don’t have a work ethic – they’re usually to be found lolling around on their beds fiddling with their blackberries. or dressing up like circus freaks to go to “work”, which means mumbling “mkay” to some consultant or another. huge complicated kitchens in their homes and they still eat out of plastic dishes and styrofoam cups. hillbillies.

  50. Str8Shooter says:

Work hard at WHAT exactly? Being vapid famewhores, with NO talent, and making freaky sex tapes to get in the public eye?

Or was she referring to using a horrific tragedy like Nicole’s death to sell a book?

God, this woman is proof that the AntiChrist IS on earth.

  51. Sarah says:

Strong work ethic? That’s insulting to anyone who flogs themselves to exhaustion for minimum wage in a job they hate. Fuck the Kardashians. Seriousy.
