Kris Humphries did his “first interview” on Good Morning America today. I just watched 90 seconds of it and I was bored out of my mind. Kris really is dumb as a rock, in my opinion. Throughout the conversation, he, like, YOU KNOW, um, talks about, like, YOU KNOW, basketball a lot, like, he, um, brings the conversation, YOU KNOW, around to basketball, um, like, a lot. Here’s some of his interview:

On his divorce: “For me, it’s just certain things happen in life and you’ve got to move forward. Through everything I’m just focused on family and preparing for basketball. Basketball has always been something I’ve taken really serious and I continue to do that and I’m just moving forward.”
When asked if he loves Kim Kardashian: “I’m focused on just what I can control, which is being ready to play ball and supporting my mom and her cookie baking.,” he said. “I don’t really play into all the gossip and things that take place, but that’s life. I’ve been doing a lot of things with my foundation and spending time with my family and working on my game,” Humphries, who does not currently have a contract with an NBA team, said of his life post-Kardashian. “Hopefully I’ll be on a team soon and get ready to go.”
When asked if the cameras destroyed his marriage: “I can’t say for sure or not for sure. It’s the only time I’ve been married. I’ve been in the NBA since I was 19 years old, but it’s a different level.”
SRSLY BASKETBALL: “Through everything I’ve just focused on family and preparing for basketball,” he said. “Basketball is something I take really seriously and I continue to do that. You know, I’m just moving forward.”

Some publicist told him, “Just mention how focused you are on basketball!” And all Kris could do was stutter “Basketball… basketball…um… you know… basketball.” He’s probably still muttering that right now. Kris Humphries is a joke. He was an unknown NBA player until he started dating Kim. Why wasn’t Kris Humphries on GMA talking about which NBA team he had signed with? He is a free agent and training camp opens today for the NBA. Most people had no idea who Kris Humphries was until Kim K.
So that makes it alright for these trashy people to use and abuse him all in the name of making money and getting ratings? Not in my book it doesn’t. Yeah the Kardashian are so very intelligent that all it took was Kim getting a good drill in the butt and peed on and being proud enough to put it out there for the world to see. As an avid NBA watcher – Kris Humphries is not unknown. He is well known for being a dick and a rough player in basketball. In the gossip world, yeah, he’s unknown.
Before this whole marriage fiasco, Humphries WAS known to basketball fans as a member of the Nets and a decent power forward. Playing ball at the professional level is no minor accomplishment– it requires talent and hard work.
The whole reason E! selected Kris Humprhies to play the part of Kim Kardashian’s husband is because of his status as a professional athlete.
NOW he is also known to tabloid fans as the man who married Kim Kardashian.
Most of the latter group view him as either a dupe, a dummy or a jackass, so unless he was handsomely paid for his participation in this farce, I’m not so sure how much he’s benefited from his new Kardashian-Seacrest produced “fame.”
Lamar Odom, Bruce Jenner and Reggie Bush are ALSO professional athletes whose involvement with the Kardashians has had minimal impact on the respect sports fans already had for them as athletes.

I think she was trying to make this happen with the first tall, attractive black man that was a professional athlete that she could find. Kris fit the bill.
Khloe has a wonderful husband that is a basketball player, and they got married very shortly after they met; their marriage has been great so far, and I think Kim was looking for the same thing. Instead of waiting for the right guy to come along, she kind of jumped on Kris and rushed into it because, looks and career-wise, he is what she wants her husband to be.
Lamar is going to get traded by the Lakers very shortly…so lets see how long their marriage lasts after that.

Professional athletes have to be disciplined in their career for them to be successful. They also tend to be old fashioned. I know they party hard but when you hang out with them you quickly realize that fundamentally they tend to be conservative. Most aren’t verbally articulate but why would you expect them to be. If GMA hyped it as a tell all; that is their error. Leave him alone and get a life.

Access Hollywood reported that he was scheduled to appear on a cooking segment w/ his mom BEFORE he was even married to Kim. So he was just honoring that commitment and they threw an interview in front of the segment but he never intended to talk about her. He’s still dumb as a box of hair weaves.

So what if he comes across as not being the brightest light in the bulb, he’s an athlete. His career was basketball not rocket scientist. Because he was a bastketball player or athelete was the only reason that famewhore got involved with him (that and his name started with K!). I still think that probably he being 25 years old met Kim and she showed interest in him. He’s thinking wow she’s a star, wow she’s pretty and all that. Look at the bod, etc. So he is drooling over her because well he’s a 25 year old man and she’s showing interest, he fell for her. She used him, I have no doubt in my mind. I think she just used herself to rope him in and groomed (literally) him into what she wanted to marry. Then he wised up and started having some balls. Honestly, I hope this marriage gets annulled because, based on some of the stuff that was on the reality show both before and after the wedding, he was led to believe they were going to have at least a semi-traditional marriage. I don’t think Kim had any intention to change her life at all, but was expecting him to change almost everything even though so much of how he lives his life has to work with his career.

That was a pointless interview. You’d think Kris’ first red flag would have been when he signed a pre-nup stating he’d get no money and would not be able to talk about the family. So basically they can say whatever they want about HIM and cash in on it too.
The thing is IF he signed a prenup stating that, that gives me further reason to believe he actually thought he was going to have some semblance of a marriage with her and didn’t go into this as a willing participant in this farce.
Its easy enough for most to believe that this whole thing was planned (I have a problem with that based on Kim’s fascination with love and relationship and her desire for what Khloe has that she felt she should already have. She was ready for whatever looked like it’d fit the mold of what she wanted and greedy enough to go through with it even when she had serious warning signals). However, if both parties were in on it I believe he’d just have gone along with the divorce and then quietly got his cut. I also don’t think he’d have put his family through that. His wanting an annulment make me think he thought they were both going to tackle and overcome their differences for the long haul. WHY he actually found her appealing enough to go out on a first date, WHY he wasn’t deterred by her famehungry family, WHY he didn’t high-tail it out of there after realizing she was treating him like insert-a-groom is beyond me!
does anyone seriously think this was anything but a set-up from the VERY begining? There were rumors that Kim, her momma and E were shopping a basketball playing boyfriend in NY and when none were interested they “settled” for Nets Khump in anticipation of the filming for their upcoming K&K take NYC. As far as I’m concerned he was in on this whole fiasco from the beginging (hello no chemistry and I don’t even watch the show), his contract probably got him a portion from the wedding and his appearance on the show and now he gets to do the interview rounds saying….nothing at all, because it was in the contract from the begining! Hence no fighting for the ring or his image etc. He was a no-name before so he really had nothing to lose- considering the NBA lockout and his less than stellar career- and everything to gain. Hopefully they threw him an extra couple bucks to be painted as the bad guy after all the backlash the K’s received.

First Robyn couldn’t even fight a losing battle with Gary Giordano and now this softball powderpuff piece. Where was the question about him barely knowing Kim before marrying her? That would be answering from his side, nothing to do with her and thus he could have answered it. Unless it was a set up and then he couldn’t. At least then it’d be clear.

Most of them, and I know this from experience as a lifetime nerd, in college and high school are passed easily through each grade because the teachers and administrators see their talents on the field will do more for the school then encouraging and cultivating the minds of you know, like a learning institution is made to do. And it’s not just a minority issue this applies to all jocks across the board.
These losers during the beginning of the year find the smartest kids in their class and pay them to do their papers and homework for them so they can focus on their muscles instead of brains. And that’s just one method for the teachers that won’t go easy on them. They have all kinds of tricks they pull.

Kris might be a little smart but he speech makes him sound dumb. His deep voice and his slow speech makes him sound totally dumb.
Last season with the Nets , Kris averaged 28 out of 48 min. in playing time, 10 pts per game, and 10.4 rebounds per game, which is a double-double. Those are not the averages of a “lackluster to bad” player. Those are solid numbers; it’s just that the team in generally wasn’t winning enough.
I wonder how many of you would perform better if you had a prenup that could cost you millions hanging over your head if you mentioned the words Kim/kardashians/E!/marriage?
