I’m embarrassed to admit how excited I was to see the NYC premiere photos for Mission: Impossible 4. I’m also embarrassed to admit that I’ll probably be seeing this movie over the holidays. As for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes… well, they should both be embarrassed by their appearances on the red carpet last night. I’m not saying that they both looked like hell or anything – they didn’t. But it just seemed like both Tom and Katie were phoning it in. I’m not even sure if Tom was wearing his special red carpet lifts! And he just looked tired. He probably is really tired – the man has been hustling and hustling for weeks, and this premiere comes after a “candid” photo-op blitz in which every photo agency got thousands of new images of Tom, Katie and Suri. Poor Tom. You have to give him credit, though – very few movie stars have his hustle.
As for Katie – well, I don’t know what’s going on with her. When she’s flying solo, her styling has been improving so much, and I kept thinking that she had found a good makeup dude and a great hair person, but now I’m wondering if she pissed them off. Her makeup looks too cakey to me. Her hair is a boring ponytail. And the dress? The dress is Holmes & Yang. Meaning, Katie designed this herself, if you think “designing it herself” equals “copying a Lanvin design.” So… overall, not the best from either of them. But I’ll still see MI4. I might not admit it, though.

Ok, now I’ve reviewed the photos again. Someone mentioned nerve damage. I wonder if the nerve damage was caused by the truckloads of botox Katie so obviously indulges in (as does Tom). I bet that’s it.

Are her ears NOT pierced – or did they just photoshop out the holes?
They’re both dull, and their snooze score explodes exponentially when they’re together.
The dress does look a little “Target” (not that I don’t shop at Target, but I’m not hitting the RC with an endless allowance to spend on new clothes . . . or a stylist, makeup artist, etc.).
Oh – and nice hair extensions (not). Her hair has grown out; but, it’s not naturally that long in a pony. I’m getting really tired of hair extensions. I hope the celebs will soon deem them passe.

Hah!! I was going to say the same thing, makes her look like she’s missing a tooth. Other than that, she actually looks pretty good here. Would not be my personal choice, and the shoes are sort of bridesmaid, but not a bad dress.

I thought it was just me! I cannot stand that smirk – she never smiles anymore. Sorry if this sounds dorky, but I miss her pretty smile and sparkly eyes. When she smirks, to me she’s saying to herself, “I cannot believe I am here and how do I get out of it? She looks so snotty & smug when she smirks.

I’m going to say no on the Bells Palsy. My father has had it twice and it leaves nerve damage and it leaves noticeable damage. one of the male actors on Criminal Minds also has had it and you can tell. Katie does not have the symptoms of it. One eye will droop and the mouth will droop on one side. it will not just cause a smirk.
she has always had nasty teeth and that may be one reason she smirks. if you watch the Batman movie she was in, her teeth actually looked green and snaggly.
and what is going on with her hose? in the first pic, they look like they are crooked and stuck on her knee. yikes

I have to disagree since not everyone has significant drooping, or textbook bells palsy. Sometimes the more significant drooping resolves, leaving slight residual effects. She has had this issue forever, since DC. I think she’s had great doctors combined with lots of money, which for her yielded minimal impact. I highly doubt she would smile like that intentionally for years inspite of being mocked, and risk wrinkling only one side of her face.
I don’t like Katie or Tom for the record.

Katie just doesn’t know how to work a RC yet. She doesn’t own it. Some women no matter what they are wearing can sell it and own it. Not Katie. I didn’t realize her hair was that long.

i’m seeing some say she had bells palsy but it must have been really, really mild. My dad has had it twice as has several people i know and you can really, really tell. if she did have it, she was seriously lucky it was mild. most people experience a droopy eye, a droopy mouth, even the nose will change on that side as well as problems with runny eyes and drooling. i truly wonder if this is true.

she does not have bells palsy or any sort of facial paralysis. that would have affected a greater part of that side of her face. i’ve known two people with those conditions and you can really tell that they had it. katie just started talking like that because she thought it added to her boring tomboy char and now she’s stuck with it

I’m glad knowing two people with it makes you an expert. She has had that affect since Dawson’s creek. I personally believe her. she has all the obey and resources on the planet to help relieve or minimize her palsy, even before acting she was well off. Also, it could be probable that in her situation the virus causing the palsy was treated earlier, thus leaving less damage.

I am not ashamed, I am so ready for Wednesday and MI4. I was talking some people I was showing an apartment to and we got on the subject of Tom and MI4. One of the women said that the man is guilty of jumping on a couch and talking about his religion a little too much but she still likes him. I have always liked him, you always hear of him being a professional on set, brings his A-game on stunts, he takes care of his people and will be the first for autographs for fans who sit at his premiers for hours on end. So yeah, he is going to get my $ 10 bucks this weekend and I won’t do it in same.

Tom was horrible on David Letterman last night. He answered almost every single question with “I don’t know.” And I wasn’t paying too much attention, but it seemed like there was some sort of picture of him sitting on top of the building they filmed at? Not sitting on a rooftop or balcony, but on the top point of the building and David Letterman was asking how it was done and you know…like “this was Photoshopped, right?” and Tom Cruise was all “No, that’s really me up there all alone, the guy who took the picture was hanging upside down out of a helicopter.” And I just said “Really? He’s really pretending like they let him sit on top of the world’s tallest video? God, he’s insane.”
