Only these two know what is going on. I hope they can put aside (what appears to be) longstanding anger, resentment and pride to stay together because they seem to love one another. It is hard but it can be done. I really love this couple and really hope they can work it out…

Can’t say I’m surprised. I’d wager they’ve been struggling for a while, even before the Nov 2005 Oprah interview, and I don’t think it has anything to do with her career. They were married (fairly) young, and I always wondered if it was mainly because she was pregnant. I don’t know if it is because he’s immature, she’s rumored to be a bitch, or a bit of both. However, I am willing to admit that I’m kinda happy for Ryan.

It’s sad to see them break up– while watching the Oscars my mom kept saying she wished that Reese Witherspoon would dump her “babyish” husband and “go out with the guy who played Johnny Cash”. Yes, she is ridiculous.

I agree that he does need to grow up some more, however, I don’t see how that’s not his fault. Because you’re right, he’s a ‘young man’. He’s no longer a kid and he has two kids and a marriage. You can be grown up and still have fun. But it’s his job to do the growing up and it’s his fault if he hasn’t.

I have a feeling that Ryan needs to grow up some more. He’s clearly immature which is not his fault, since he is still a young man. I feel for their kids. That baby girl is adorable. Looks just like Reese.

I read this in the paper today on the subway on the way to work. I usually don’t go straight for the celebrity section but when I saw something about them on the front cover i zoomed to the gossip… im so sad! I don’t know why it matters so much to but I just love them.
