Teen Mom 2 divorcee Leah Messer, 19, is pregnant again and is engaged again

Leah and her ex’s wedding, April, 2011

This bothers me on so many levels, but I guess it’s better than this girl getting press for getting arrested, abandoning her babies, or putting the smack down on her ex. Teen Mom 2’s Leah Messer, whose twin girls with her ex husband just turned two last month, is currently pregnant again and engaged again. Leah married her babies’ father, Corey Simms, in late 2010 and filed for divorce less than six months later. Then she got a boob job and did some bikini photo ops about a month after filing. (I don’t know if the boob job was post-divorce, but that’s the impression I got. For what it’s worth she denies her boobs are fake.) Well now Leah confirms to US that she’s pregnant again at the ripe old age of 19, and that she’s engaged again. In July of last Leah was dating a guy named Dusty Haas, but now she’s pregnant by some other guy and is engaged to him.

A source tells Us Weekly that Teen Mom 2’s Leah Messer is engaged to Jeremy Calvert.

“Leah just got engaged over the holidays and is pregnant with another child,” the source says. “She is so excited!”

Messer, 19, was married to Corey Simms (who is the father of her 2-year-old twins) for just six months last year before filing for divorce in April.

The MTV reality star admitted to Us last month that she and Calvert “do talk about getting engaged.”

“We have a really good connection,” she gushed. “It’s different from Corey and my relationship, because we were kinda like forcing it… With Jeremy, you know when you’re supposed to be with somebody and you’re not.”

According to Heather Clouse’s blog TeenMomTalk.com, the couple spent Dec. 23 with the twins and had “Christmas Eve-Eve celebration at Grandma’s house full of yummy food and bedtime stories! When they woke up this morning, Santa had dropped off gifts a day early!”

So what did Aliannah and Aleeah get from Santa? “They got dolls, strollers, and just about anything else a 2 year old girl could possibly want,” the site said.

[From US Weekly]

So Leah has been dating this guy less than six months and she’s already knocked up and engaged again. She’s not the first star from the “16 and Pregnant” series to get pregnant again. Jordan Ward, 18, announced her second pregnancy in May and gave birth to a baby girl in November. In December, 2010, MTV aired a special chronicling then 19 year-old Markai Durham’s decision to terminate her second pregnant. You may think that these girls are getting pregnant to have some sort of storyline to continue the MTV gravy train. While that may be the case, statistics show that 25% of all teen mothers will have a second child within two years. Only a fraction of a tiny percentage of them will earn tabloid covers for it. No wonder Leah is pregnant again.

This chick, (and all her baby daddy’s) need to become wards of the state. It’s just wrong that they have the right to reproduce.

    • Naye in VA says:

To be fair the twins father stepped up much more than any other guy on the show and probably plenty men in real life. He had the job, he got the house, he CLEARLY loved his wife and kids, and she cheated on him. Then he gave her a second chance… and she cheated again. He actually seems like a pretty good dude

    • Sara says:

You sound like those awful Eugenics supporters. What are you going to do? Set up a committee to decide who’s ‘fit’ to have children?

  2. It is ME!! says:

I hope that in addition to the boob job she put some money away for the girls’ college educations.

    Just sayin’.

    • the original bellaluna says:

And some for Ali’s current & future health care!

      • amanda says:

I think by doing Mtv Teen Mom they set up a college fund for the children or child. But they don’t actually get paid…that is what I have heard.

  3. I.want.shoes says:

The MTV show and the money they get from it are all the reason they need to keep having babies. I don’t think they even thought about what they will do to provide for their kids once MTV dumps them for the next series of dumb famewhores.

  4. Delta Juliet says:

I’m so glad I don’t watch these shows. Reading stories like this just makes me sick to my stomach.

    I guess I’m getting old.

  5. Laurie M. says:

Does this girl have no self esteem that she has to jump into serious commitments right away with every guy she dates? Is she trying to prove at she is loved enough to be engaged and get pregnant? This is not going to end well for any of them. I predict lots of welfare & trailer parks in their future.

  6. Katie says:

I have to admit that I watch the Teen Mom shows. Leah is from a very small town kind of lifestyle where people do get pregnant and married very young. I’m sure the MTV situation doesn’t help, b/c she knows this will keep her on the show and get her money. What surprises me about Leah though is that one of the twins she alreayd has is riddled with health issues. I’m honestly surprised she would be in this situation after that. I think MTV should make these girls go on birth control as part of the contract to be on the show.

  7. oh dear says:

lol she never struck me as bright but this is just plain dumb and immature. i feel sorry for the kids.

  8. Tiffany27 says:

So she wants her own spin-off?

  9. judyjudy says:

    Idiocracy.

  10. teehee says:

There is always a man behind deplorable cases like this- some idiot didnt care anymore than she apparently cares. A shame though how most of the blae lands on the females purely because her body is the one that births the baby after both parties involved did something majorly idiotic and greedy.

  11. Iggles says:

Wow.. she already has 2 twins – one with a health problem. This is stupid. I’m calling a spade, a spade!

  12. Memory27 says:

Trailer trash!!!!!! Lol agh!!! Does he ever take his hat off?? I don’t wanna think how that thing smells like 😛 btw she looks like a porn star. I feel bad for the twins I think one of them is sick or something.

  13. constance says:

I hate all these teen pregnancy shows. I was a very young teen mother and I regret every bit of it. Children can’t provide for children, tax payers, family, and sacrifice do. I worked extremely hard to graduate with honours, get accepted to a very nice private college, and work too many hours at various jobs who would work around the schedule I needed. I would much rather my older children have been able to get more Mum-time during those years. I feel bad at times that I can give my youngest more time now that I have my own business, a stable husband in my life, and I’m finished with my education. These kid parents and their enablers (MTV, parents, stupid friends, media, fans, etc) are simply disgusting to me.

    • the original bellaluna says:

Preach, constance! No one was filming MY teen mom story. I was on the dole (partially), going to college, shared an apartment with another (older) single mom, and doing in-home daycare so I could spend more time with my infant son.

    • JoLene says:

To be fair, I do think the series is pretty clear on just how difficult and chaotic the lives of these young women and their children are. But I do wish they emphasized more that even if you CAN make it financially (and get an education, etc), you sacrifice time when you raise your kids in that situation. Kailyn (sp?) on that show who’s in school and working two part-time jobs — when does she even see her son?

I know single moms who spend an hour, max, a day with their kids (and most of that is feeding / bath) — breaks my heart.

  14. Mr. StinkyFishFace says:

Pathetic. Freaking Pathetic. She supposedly was using the IUD birth control which she was so “proud” of. Obviously she was lying about that too.

    • Obvious says:

Because birth control NEVER fails right?

      • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

The typical failure rate of an IUD is 5%, with a perfect use failure rate of 1.5%
Hormonal birth control failure is usually due to user error (i.e.forgetting to take the pill or taking antibiotics while on the pill). The IUD is implantable, cannot be removed by the user and works immediately upon implantation.
Also, just for some perspective, the average woman only has a 15% chance of pregnancy each cycle. It’s much more difficult to get pregnant than some would have you believe. I’ll guess she wasn’t being particularly forthright when she said she got the IUD.

      • Mr. StinkyFishFace says:

What the person above me said, also the chances of having a healthy pregnancy while conceiving on the IUD is slim. Most time the removal of the IUD itself will terminate the pregnancy. So I find it very hard to believe thats what she was using, if she was using anything. I would think a woman who already had one accidental pregnancy (resulting in TWINS, one with a life threatening syndrome) would be much much more careful.

      • JoLene says:

I almost wonder if she’s not super fertile — I know women who have gotten pregnant multiple times on the Pill. It would seem to me that for some women, the failure rate is 0%, and for others, the failure rate is much higher — medications don’t work the same for everyone.

Then again, she could have had the IUD removed for a number of reasons. I don’t know. Don’t really feel like it’s my business. Hope the babies are well taken care of, is all.

    • Isa says:

Either that or she had it removed, which only takes like 5 minutes. You can start trying to get pregnant soon after.
I’ve read the statistics, but I was surprised to read so many comments from women that have gotten pregnant while using an IUD on baby boards.
I’ve been thinking about getting another one, but my first gave me a lot of pain.

  15. B says:

I don’t know who the hell this chick is, but incessant breeding in a world of 7 billion in counting never fails to piss me off >:(

  16. Obvious says:

I liked Leah the best from Tenn Mom 2. She seemed to be making an effort more than any of the other girls, but this is just wrong.

Oh well right? My boyfriend will be amused since we watch this show together and count our blessings that we’ve made it 7 years and in to our mid-20s without accidental pregnancies or anything else.

  17. jc126 says:

So intelligent. @@ SHe’ll end up with 6 kids by 5 different guys.
Oh, and it makes me sick that USWeekly put her on the cover, as well as the sleazier tabs.

  18. the original bellaluna says:

The definition of is insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. (or however that’s phrased)

What floors me is the level of stupidity of ALL the girls (and guys) on this show. It’s a wonder they could actually figure out the simple mechanics of sex.

Birth control must seem like quantum physics to them!

  19. Marianne says:

Don’t these girls learn the first time around? Or are they really that stupid?

  20. dai says:

Nobody can be this stupid. Really? Why can’t these idiots learn the first time around? She has TWO kids, one of which is special needs. I don’t even know if I would be able to function let alone think about sex. UGH. Watching them makes me extremely happy I waited until after HS to have sex. And, when I did, I always make the guy wear a condom(even though I am on birth control). I am not going to get stuck raising a kid by myself or before I am ready. Kailyn is by far the best on this show. She is one that will make it.

  21. Jacqueline says:

I think its more than 25% of teen moms will get pregnant within 2 years. I know a bunch! It will also rub off on her female friends and female relatives. I know a bunch of cousins, sisters and friends who had a baby within 2 years of one getting pregnant. If a girl starts her period early or sexual intercourse at a very early age, she will get menopause even earlier than normal. Also teen pregnancies are dangerous for the baby since most girls arent fully developed enough to be gestating. Women who were teen moms do go on in their 40-60’s having complications from it. It isnt healthy. We live now to be 100 years old. We need to look after ourselves. Ears, knees, wombs, lungs etc.

  22. Cinderella says:

Yep, she looks like a fine, upstanding young woman who deserves fame and fortune. And her eyeliner is just smashing.

  23. Agnes says:

OF COURSE she is knocked up and engaged to a random dude. i’d be surprised if she (or any of those twits) actually made a mature decision that was in the best interest of her children.

  24. Gaia132 says:

I heard that she had her IUD removed to get pregnant again! She is nothing but a stupid famewhore. I feel for her children.

  25. Marissa says:

This is what is wrong with American culture today. Its bad enough she got knocked up at 16, but she divorces and within 6 months is engaged and knocked up again ? I heard she miscarried. I know that it hurts but I can not believe this girl was going to bring another child in the world. When she cant support them. There is something wrong with her to keep getting pregnant and getting in relationships . Shes only 19 how about growing up first. THese girls disgust me

    • Anita from uk says:

I too watch teenmom love Chelsea And a few others and Leah and maci come across as men users they use them dump them Corey was a hunk AMD Kyle was cool to but both very soft these girls where supposed to have no money but look how they lived houses etc did well there if that is having no money them I am blind get a life girls look after your kids and the fellas will come to you later stop acting like a pair of slave very angry mum from uk

  26. Mer says:

They are both good/fit parents .. They don’t belong together, plain as that. Corey should have bought a house, not a new truck, did you see how they had to bathe?? Leah was right in wanting a new home first.
