Beyonce’s controversial delivery was investigated by NY Health Dept.

I don’t really want to talk about the scandals and conspiracies involved with Beyonce’s (real or alleged) delivery of baby Blue Ivy at Lenox Hill Hospital. And yet… there are still tons of stories, and the scandal keeps growing by the day. After reports of multiple “peasant” parents being denied access to the prenatal unit at Lenox Hill – and denied access to their own newborn children while Beyonce and Jay were in the house – reports now indicate that the situation around baby Blue’s birth is being investigated by the New York City Health Department. (UPDATE: TMZ reports that the investigation is over? O RLY?) Plus, the hospital is conducted their own in-house review of everything that went down. What will they find? Will they find that Beyonce and Jay spread around more than $1 million within the hospital to keep everyone quiet? Or will they find that Bey and Jay shelled out a large chunk of change for a temporary remodel of eight hospital rooms? That’s what Us Weekly claims:

Sweet suites! To prep for the birth of their daughter Blue Ivy, Beyonce and Jay-Z didn’t just build a deluxe nursery at their Tribeca home — they had two private, over-the-top suites built at NYCs Lenox Hill Hospital for the express purpose of Blue’s arrival.

“A month ago, [workers] tore down 6-8 rooms and turned them into 2 suites,” a Lenox Hill Hospital source tells Us Weekly. Beyonce, 30, and husband Jay-Z, 42, “paid to have it constructed just for them.”

Featuring “mahogany walls” and other posh accents, the “amazing” suites sat empty for about a month until Blue Ivy’s Jan. 7 birth. “You’d want to live in there!” the hospital source gushes.

Officials for the hospital shot down rumors that the superstar couple caused turmoil at the hospital — and that some patients and families were temporarily denied access to the NICU to accommodate the VIPs on the premises.

No word yet on what’s to become of the suites now that Beyonce and Blue have departed.

Now that little Blue Ivy is at home at her parents’ palatial Tribeca home, she’ll kick back a $3,5000 NurseryWorks VETRO Lucite crib.

[From Us Weekly]

Dear God. How f–king wasteful! They tore apart six to eight perfectly adequate rooms so that Blue Ivy could enter the world in her own VIP suite? And no one was allowed in there for a month? How does the hospital justify this kind of thing to its board? If it was just about sprucing up an existing suite or something, it would be a meh story. But taken with the stories of Bey and Jay’s complete disregard for all of the “peasants” in the hospital, and now the idea that part of the prenatal wing was under construction just for THE BIRTH OF A PILLOW, the whole thing is just insane. TMZ has photos of the VIP birthing suite that Bey and Jay had constructed – you can see it here. TMZ says it includes “4 flat screen TV’s, state of the art electronics, a kitchenette, nice art, mahogany walls and plush furnishings.” Sources tell TMZ, “the suite was not constructed specifically for Beyonce, but it was always intended that Beyonce would be the first patient to use it.” WTF?

Anyway, there are even more Blue Ivy stories. She’s already the biggest little princess ever. Even the eventual child of Duchess Kate and Prince William will not roll in the kind of luxury that Blue Ivy is getting. This is what has been allegedly stacked up for Blue – the list is worth more than $1.5 million, and includes:

*A “fantasy” crib fit for Cinderella – a coach-like crib from PoshTots, for which her her parents paid nearly $20,000.

*A solid-gold, handmade horse from Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka that Jay-Z bought for $600,000. (This has been denied in some outlets.)

*A $15,000 highchair dripping with Swarovski crystals.

*A $285 Jean-Paul Gaultier dress.

*A $30,000 windmill playhouse.

*A trunk full of children’s books, a present from Oprah.

I can’t even. You know she’s just going to be pooping, sleeping and nursing for the first three months or so, right?

These are all photos from a trip Bey and Jay took to Paris in late April of last year. Bey would have been almost two months along in her pregnancy. Maybe that was why her face looked so jacked?

The investigation was dropped. For the sake of all things decent move on Sandra Rose. Your obsession is quite frightening!

    • mel says:

There is so much famine in the world, they should have taken all that money and fed hungry children. What a waste for a child that will not even know the worth of all those gifts.

      • right says:

And how much do YOU give to combat the famine in this world?

      • MerryHappy says:

Right, your rebuttal is preposterous. You don’t know how much money the initial commenter has, and donations depend on personal income and the amount you’re able to give (of you can find it within your means AT ALL) is entirely dependent on your income. If I had the money that beyonce and jayz have, I would bet anything that I’d be donating to feed children, building schools, and making sure every damn child born with a cleft pallet got the surgery they needed, not spending it being a completely wasteful indulgent twat only thinking of my needs and my child. But maybe that its because I know what it’s like to be poor, and beyonce has always been privileged and spoiled. That’s her normal. Average people would know how to make their budget and ‘lifestyle’ work and give to charity because I’d like to think having been average would make us more inclined to take care of others who have gone or are going without, we’d just stop buying 3000$ shoes we didn’t need anyway. some peoples perception of realty boggles my mind. How is this acceptable? Me me me me the culture and economy of me. Thanks for the ‘me’ worship capitalism :D! Rant over… Smh

      • Tiffany says:

Mel, you are missing the point! They DID NOT spend all of that money! It was all just lame gossip. From the head of the hospital:

““The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true,” he said.

He also denied that any other patients were affected. “No security plan that we or the Carter’s security team put in place would have prevented or delayed families from gaining access to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and to date, no families have complained to the hospital about being denied access to the NICU”.

      • Miss Beca says:

don’t disagree, but Jay z actually has done quite a bit of charity work:
        http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1538213/jayz-teams-with-un-mtv-on-worlds-water-crisis.jhtml

Still, I can’t defend a crystal encrusted high chair.

      • Bopa says:

        @Tiffany

That’s all smoke and mirrors. The hospital spokesperson said she hadn’t seen any complaints. That just means that none of the parents spoke directly to anyone who makes decisions for the hospital. Also the money rebuttal. The money was considered donation or rent?

I work for a large company and have been in the midst of shit hitting the fan and these statements are about spin. How to omit the truth without telling a lie.

      • TXCinderella says:

I agree with you, it’s just ridiculous as Elin Nordegren tearing down a $12 million dollar home and rebuilding a mansion in it’s place. These people are totally out of touch.

      • zipper says:

@MerryHappy. What is so preposterous about Right’s comment? Point is, people give what they want or what they can, and some people choose not to give at all. It’s got nothing to do with the love of capitalism. Happy to know you’d be so very magnanimous IF you had the wealth of these two. Doubt that you’ll ever be able to prove your claims.

      • MerryHappy says:

@zippy: It was preposterous because it was no offense what someone who doesn’t know what to say but doesn’t agree responds with. It’s the debating equivalent of ‘yo momma.’ And actually I have done charity work and am working on getting a degree so I can be a valuable member of society and plan to continue to do what I’m capable and find within my means when it comes to humanitarian issues. I’m very sorry that you dont feel the desire to level with and help your fellow man. I guess you can teach many things, but compassion isnt one of them.

    • Beatrix says:

not a whole lot, “right,” but I also don’t think the majority has millions upon millions of dollars or would spend a load of them on selfishly remodeling a hospital wing or floor and thus displace people who could use the room/care. everything described above showcases the most vehement and deplorable levels of opulence and extravagance. These two will never be truly happy, too bad for them…

      • kim says:

        @ Tiffany
That is a straight up lie that the hospital told because they were embarrassed. My Mom used to work and Lenox hill and she still has several friends who do. They were there the day the baby was “born” and they told us that they shut down not one, not two, but three floors of the hospital for miss B.I.C. It was a huge inconvenience and a general hot mess.

      • Asli says:

3 floors! How many people was that?!

    • Ajanni says:

Beyonce and Jay-Z are free to do with what they want to with THEIR money. Nobody tells you how to spend your money so it’s very hypercritical to say what they should do with theirs. You shouldn’t have a certain income in order to give to those less fortunate than you. Another thing, this site has really gone down hill. First of all they barely recognize any people of color but when they do, it’s always negative! This site is like FOX NEWS journalism (look at the picture they used to show Beyonce looking down upon her minions although it’s a damn photo shoot). Who in the hell would use Sandra (HATER) Rose, who notoriously hates Beyonce because she won’t recognize her stupid blog site or Media Fakeout. This site because for some reason any negative Beyonce news is good news for them. I would suggest that everyone use critical thinking before believing the lies that are posted on any of these sites. EVEN TMZ doesn’t believe Beyonce faked her pregnancy and used a surrogate. They make jokes because sites like these post it! This all stemmed from Sandra Rose’s lies about Bey because even in the black community there are those who still use the “crab in the barrel” syndrome and cannot let those of their own race shine. Get this–she hates Beyonce because she is light-skinned, yes it still exists in the black community and she doesn’t pay her any mind. That goes for Obama, Rihanna, and any other eye pleasing lighter skinned African American. It’s too the point where one can fear for the safety of Bey’s innocent child because of the hate this site and Sandra Rose’s displays on a daily basis. It’s obsessive and just plain wrong! Check out Sandra Rose and tell me that this site does not mimic her’s down to a T. So again use critical thinking and do not take the rumors as the TRUTH!

  2. brin says:

Ridiculous. With all their money they could have built their own wing/hospital and left everyone else alone.

    • OriginalTiffany says:

Why TWO suites??? Wouldn’t you just need one? And why not do this at home if you are going to such lengths? Surely for that cash they could have outfitted a small hospital suite at their home, had a private doc and nurse and the surrogate could have done her thing in private.
No preggo boobs here. That’s usually the first sign…

I’m so over these greedy, narcissistic pigs anyway. Now they will never go away.
BTW, a newborn needs blankies, onesies, sleepers and a breast. And lots of diapers. Not the gifts listed above. Us poor peasants:)

      • fabgrrl says:

Having TWO rooms/suites/whatever actually makes sense. Usually, there is a labor/delivery room where the baby is actually born. Then, if everything went well, baby and mother are moved into a recovery room, which doesn’t have all the medical equipment that the delivery room has. For us peasant moms, we are put into whatever rooms are available. We don’t get to reserve the special ones.

      • WillyNilly says:

That’s why I don’t think it was built for Beyonce. 1) have you seen how stark that room is? I highly doubt someone with Beyonce’s crazy ass taste would have such a cold design for the first time Princess Blue was entering the world. Think about it. 2) She would never need two full birthing suites when she only has one body/pillow. The rich aren’t THAT generous.

My thoughts are that the hospital came into a large endowment (perhaps partially from the Z clan), and the board thought this was a wonderful opportunity to market their hospital. It’s clearly working.

      • Claire says:

Totally agree – they feel entitled.

    • Zigggy says:

Yeah, and since she had a “natural birth”, why not have a home birth in your already perfect mansion?

    • DeE says:

I too can’t help but wonder why she didn’t have mid-wife and doctor in her home for this natural delivery. Many women birth at home though I am sure they pray nothing goes so wrong. I can tell she was preggo, she padded a few times though and believe she chose a c-section out of vanity. All her perogative.

      • Sharon says:

There are millions of babies born with midwives…a private birth at home set up like a hospital would have been perfect..I believe it was a publicity stunt…but to use your new born baby..where the privacy in their lives..poor child..not in money, but I bet it will be in spirit…I pray for them..they really need it.

    • OriginalTiffany says:

Fabgrl, nope, most NICE hospital suites are birth/recovery. No need to move everyone and thing about. The room converts instantly and looks like an upscale hotel with a twin bed for the dads. And thats for us peasants.
Not really a reason to have two HUGE suites built that I can think of, unless B was chilling with some champagne in one while the surrogate was popping a baby out in suite 2.

      • WorksEveryTime says:

What cracks me up is that if you’re actually having a natural delivery, you could care less about a freaking flat screen TV. I couldn’t even tolerate my midwife talking during one of my deliveries — I needed silence so I could concentrate.

My “birthing suite” consisted of a double bed, a bathroom, a tub, and moderate medical equipment. Amazingly enough, I delivered quite adequately and safely without mahogany paneling and brought our babies home in a regular old sedan. But then, I don’t have a 12,000 square foot home and for some reason Us Weekly hasn’t contacted me regarding the sale of my baby photos…

  3. SL says:

Hum, I don’t know but doesn’t Jay-Z say in the “Glory” song that the baby was conceived in Paris ? Again, something is not right…

    • OriginalTiffany says:

Yes, she is 2 months along here…WTF? Were they in Paris multiple times?

      • Tapioca says:

Only HE need be in Paris for the baby to be conceived there! 🙂

      • the original bellaluna says:

That’s where his girlfriend (and mother of his son) lives. 😉

      • sam says:

All the photos/timelines we see seem to be different each time. Which obviously doesn’t help the situation. At this point I dont think some people will be satisfied unless they see a video of Beyonce’s delivery.

I just read an article that 7 out of the 10 people with babies at the hospital have been interviewed and there were no complaints as yet.

it went on to say: “They had received two complaints about Manhattan’s Lenox Hill Hospital, health department spokesman Michael Moran said Wednesday. One was made anonymously, and the other was from someone who had learned about the matter through the media, he said.”

So who complained….? anonymous and someone who heard about it…

Colour me confused and officially over it. They have a new baby to enjoy and I wish them well!

      • OriginalTiffany says:

Bellaluna, do you have a inkling at all that Jay’s jump off got pregnant again in Paris where she lives and instead of hiding it like his son, they paid her off to have the baby and hand it over to them.
Like, what is 10 mil to them, nothing. It’s not like is hasn’t been done before, ala Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe.
I just can’t put my finger on the weirdness that is this whole tale. The hospital stories, the pillow stories, the video evidence of B at term, isn’t she same height as J. Garner? She’s huge, as was Posh, and every other star. It’s just, well, weird.
Why wouldn’t they do this at home? We are talking about a couple so private they didn’t admit to their own marriage, yet know they are in our face with this like they’ve something to prove. Just strange.

      • the original bellaluna says:

Oh, OTiffany, bet your ass I do! That’s been my theory from the get. (Call it “bitch be lyin” intuition, but someone’s pants have been on fire since the VMA’s.)

I DO know she had a miscarriage of another baby with him a couple years ago (he was with Bey at the time, I believe); she’s from Trinidad; she’s a model (just his type) who lives in Paris and she & J have a 9 (or maybe 10 now) year old son, for whom he’s paid support.

    • DarkEmpress says:

As for Beyonce being 2 months pregnant in April- she wasnt. Blue Ivy was conceived in Paris according to Jay-Z song and approx. 10 months gestation period.

    • Relli says:

Exactly what i was thinking too!

    • Violet says:

Rumor has it that Jay-Z has had a French mistress for over a decade. So, maybe the baby was indeed conceived in Paris…just not by Beyonce!

  4. Overrated says:

Beyonce won’t be nursing, one has to actually have been pregnant in the first place to do that….

    • OriginalTiffany says:

Yes, I know-I’m definitely on that side of the thinking here.

    • SL says:

Actually, one doesn’t, you can breastfeed an adopted child for ex.
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactation
I’m not saying it must be easy, but it can be done.

    • Samigirl says:

I’m going to play Devil’s Advocate here. I have been doing lots of research and preparation while getting ready for little miss to arrive, and there have actually been cases where women adopted children and then, their body adapted, and they were able to nurse. Incredibly interesting.

      • OriginalTiffany says:

But very rare, and with the Grammy performance in 5 weeks, you think a woman who couldn’t be bothered to have her own kid is going to go through all that to nurse? Nah.

      • j says:

I’ve had friends do this, and it requires months of pumping to prepare your body, along with prescription medication (domperidone) to help you lactate. It often causes weight gain and has other weird side effects. It is a lot of work.

That’s a massive gift to a new baby, but seriously, can you see this woman going through that? Lucite cribs, swarovski ridiculousness, yes. But I think she’ll be passing the formula here.

      • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

My friends had their twins via surrogate, one carried the babies and her wife took domperidone so they could both nurse the babies. It was pretty amazing.

That being said, IF Beyonce didn’t want to get pregnant because it would ruin her figure, I doubt she would want to take meds that would induce lactation (and cause her to gain weight). Why would she risk “ruining” her breasts too : /

      • Petunia says:

Let me tell you something: pumping a milk-free or almost milk-free breast is PAINFUL. I had a lot of trouble generating milk and it pumping was horrid. If she could actually do while not being pregnant, my hat is off to her for the accomplishment.

  5. atlantapug says:

Ok, first it’s not a “prenatal unit” it’s labor and delivery. Prenatal would mean women pregnant and receiving care not including the birth of their child.
Or maybe you meant NICU for preemie babies. Anyway…
I don’t believe this for one second. It just looks like a regular hospital delivery room with more space, nicer furniture and a kitchenette. Most NYC upscale hospitals would already have suites like this so no need to “make” your own by tearing down existing rooms.
I do believe that B and JZ would spread some cash to keep people quiet about their daughter’s “birth”, and that their security detail kept regular people from seeing their babies, but this story is ridiculous, even for B and JZ.

    • sam says:

      Agreed. This story is ridiculous.

    • Embee says:

Agreed. I can see Bey and Jay interviewing hospitals deciding where to deliver, and striking a deal with one whereby they argree to foot the bill for a nice remodel in exchange for extra security/privacy measures. Sounds like a win-win.

    • the original bellaluna says:

The area where they built the two (ugly) suites was formerly comprised of pre-natal care rooms.

    • Sassy says:

Agree totally! this birthing suite looks perfectly normal. My daughter had three of her children in a birthing suite. Nothing ostentatious at all about the pictures. It is plain and utilitarian, as it should be.
It looks freshly remodeled, but not out of the ordinary.

  6. Quest says:

Why didn’t they just buy an fn hospital to remodel and hire medical staff to see to their every whim

  7. reg says:

Beyonthce and Jz mad that this stupid charade blew back in their stupid faces.
If they announced the surrogate from day one, they would not have to deal with this publicity meltdown.

  8. GoodCapon says:

That baby better be worth it.

  9. Angie says:

    They disgust me.

  10. Helvetica says:

She’s not all that beautiful without make isn’t she ?

    • DeE says:

I think she is more beautiful, as are many women, without all the make-up. She looks fresh-faced in that polka dot outfit. She is blessed with beauty and talent, but flaunting her sexuality to the extreme she does when she has all that talent creates some of the backlash. Many of us, I see it in the mirror, when I look at my daughter and even while riding the subway, have been blessed with quite similar beauty. She is not exceptional in that case, she just has a cushier life allowing for increased pampering etc.

    • Kit says:

There is no way in hell Beyonce would go outside without make up, especially in Paris with paps around. She might have kept it more natural than usual but no make up? Please? NEVER!

    • Shelly says:

I don’t find her that pretty with or without makeup. She’s always been meh to me.

  11. T.C. says:

O.K. guys the conspiracy is getting out of control. You don’t just knock down hospital walls and renovate without getting permission from higher up in the hospital chain and moving patients around. Hospitals do play that, not even for celebrities.

    • Lake Mom says:

Not only that, any accredited hospitals has to comply with JCAHO regulations. You don’t just remodel a hospital that easily when it involves patients rooms. The state has to approve the changes and no patients can occupy those rooms until there’s been a state inspection.

  12. Marc says:

I’m sorry but I’m fucking tired of this child and them both. Their behaviour all these stories just make me sick. The level of media circus is ridiculous. I wish they could just dissapear. NEXT.

  13. spinner says:

That first pic of Bey scares me to death. She looks possessed or…something else.

  14. reg says:

Have you seen the photoshopped to death new photo banner on Beyonthece official website.
It looks like a playboy shot of a white girl. Beitchnce does not have an ounce of self respect for herself.

    • Toshie says:

I checked it out after reading your post – it is revolting. It looks like what I imagine the opening page to a brothel website would look like.

  15. Dusty says:

Someone said this to me last night- with the name Blue Ivy, won’t she be subjected to taunts of being Black and Blue? Has any one else heard this?

    • Tapioca says:

She’ll probably just answer to “Bitch” seeing as that’s what Jay-Z seems to call all women.

      Or “Ho”, maybe?

Fingers crossed little Blue rebels against the crass materialistic misogyny and grows up to be a goth lesbian aid worker!

    • D says:

She’s Jay-Z’s and Beyonce’s baby. I’m guessing she’s not going to be subjected to too much taunting. There’s a reason why celebrities can get away with crazy names for their children – those children will be getting their asses kissed their whole lives.

  16. I.want.shoes says:

I call BS on this story. If you believe the pillow theory, why would they remodel a suite and spend that much money just for a surrogate?

  17. Agnes says:

NY Health Dept? Something in the milk wasn’t clean? 😉

  18. Murdoch says:

I love to read a good “story” about 2 people who have their heads so far up each others arses that they have to wash their faces everytime they take a dump, but people who live that kinda lifestyle can well afford to live life like nobody exists but them.

  19. Andrea says:

Late april would’ve been the time the baby was conceived not 2 months along! do the math people!

  20. Bubbling says:

Something is way off about this whole story. If everything was made up, the gossips wouldn’t have hold on for that long.

  21. lucy2 says:

Hopefully they pay to turn it back into more working rooms again, but I doubt it. The hospital would probably love to market that to super wealthy parents to be. Gross.
I don’t get why they wouldn’t just build a hospital room in their house, or rent out some smaller, private medical facility.

    • taxi says:

Other hospitals have allowed the rich & privileged to remodel for the births of their babies.

Stanford Univ.Med Ctr. got a fancy suite 20-25 years ago so the wife of an Arab prince could deliver in high style & maximum comfort. The suite was afterwards available, at extra cost, for other rich folk.

  22. Katie says:

Truly, who do these people think they are?! She had a baby just like women all over the world do every day. What makes her so special that she needed all that? Things like this disgust me.

  23. Jaded says:

People who get to the top like those two don’t get there by being nice. They play by their own rules and steamroller over everyone in their paths, including family and friends. Vast wealth in the hands of uncompassionate people will always bring out the worst, most over-the-top, selfish and entitled behaviour. Nothing these two do surprises me. What would surprise me is if they took some of that massive wealth and used it for goodwill, instead of spurious spending on gold and crystal baby furniture.

Sorry for the pontificating…I’m grouchy today and reading this made me grouchier. *Harrumph*.

    • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

Well said and not at all grouchy.

    • the original bellaluna says:

Agreed. At what point does the gaudy over-show of wealth become enough for a person? How much “designer this” and “gold/Swarovski that” is enough? Do people like this lack a philanthropy gene?

      Mornin’ Mort!

      • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

Afternoon Bells! At first I didnt know it was you because I didn’t recognize the avie and I’m on the mobile site and can only see “The original…” I have to commit the new avie to memory 😉

  24. Flan says:

    Disgusting.

    Money can’t buy you class.

  25. Hautie says:

It is only a matter of a few years, if they keep spending like this, that there will be no more money.

    • DeE says:

The sheep that adore them to the extent of labeling her(Beysus) and stan for their every move as if it will be their salvation will continue to make them rich. It is not just money with them though, especially her, since they already have made oodles. She craves and is fueled by being on top and not falling/being forgotten and being desired and lusted after and at the tip of everyone’s tongue and forefront of everyone’s mind she can. This over-fascination by the public and Jay’s thinking they need a bullet proof vehicle is what comes from thrusting yourself into the public eye. This could happen to private celebs as well, but her desire to be everywhere at all times somehow negates the “i’m private” mantra, though it keeps the money coming in as well as the spotlight she craves, but then doesn’t. humph

  26. Marjalane says:

Most hospitals run on a shoestring; I can see a board “making allowences” for a big chunk of change. However, babies have come out the same way for thousands of years, so the idea of these two thinking they’de invented something brand new and needed Diva digs, is kind of gross. I think the security was to keep the other parents from seeing the surrogate, and/or getting a picture- because you know, the happy parents NEED that picture cash….

  27. Tiffany27 says:

At this point the backlash with these 2 is so huge I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw pics of the baby very, very soon.

    • the original bellaluna says:

People’s got the “official” birth announcement. Wonder how much it’s changed from the first 3…

  28. Eleonor says:

Whoever is managing their pr has to be fired, pillow or not, the Baby Blue coming has turned out as mess for their image.

  29. Anastasia says:

A high chair covered in Swarovski crystals???

If that’s true, I will laugh my ASS off. High chairs are hard enough to clean after a baby has been eating in them. Covered in crystals? Sure, hire someone to get a toothbrush and toothpick to get every bit of dried, crusted rice cereal and baby food off that sparkly shit!

    • Justaposter says:

I thought that as well! Good luck cleaning that!
*shudder at the thought of what it will look like when the baby is 2*

    • CreamSoda says:

Plus, if any of those crystals ever came loose you’d have a choking hazard for the baby. Not smart or safe.

    • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

Psshhh. There will be no mess! That baby was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. No doubt she’s already an expert utensil user 😉

    • the original bellaluna says:

That was my first thought! “Good luck getting the baby cereal out of THAT!” (But you know they’ll just throw it away & buy a new one.) And Swarovski crystals are SHARP.

  30. judyjudy says:

All that spending makes me feel sorry for them. Anyone who is spoiled like thatfrom the moment they are born is destined to grow up a miserable person.

  31. Euphorima says:

Its so surprising how most people are so quick to believe the worste about people and then start harsh criticisms without even being privy to the entire situation….

Everyone should just leave these people alone and let them spend THEIR money however they want to….as far as i am concerned the only wrong they did was to hinder other parents from seeing their newborns.

Apart from that they are free to live their lives and have babies however they want…by whatever means.

    • Tapioca says:

“…as far as i am concerned the only wrong they did was to hinder other parents from seeing their newborns.”

WTF?!! Yeah, and that’s totally OK, because Jay-B’s baby is so much more important than the children of mere peasants?

I don’t care if they want to buy a million-dollar platinum submarine for the kid, but the sense of entitlement required to keep other parents from their often very sick children is just mindblowing to me. And that’s why they suck as human beings.

      • MerryHappy says:

The worst part imo is that it probably never even OCCURRED to them what the ramifications of their wasteful actions would be. It wouldn’t even be something they thought of once. Can you imagine?!

        Enter scene.
Project organizer and happy couple going over development plans.
Beyonce or jayz lean in, say, ‘this is amazing, but how will this affect other people in the hospital?’

        Lmao. other people? How quaint!

        How it probably happened:
        Enter scene beyonce discussing redecoration.
Beyonce: ‘we can just knock down these walks and make these into one room. I’m thinking cedar…. No! Mahogany. Mahogany walls.and everything blue. But feminine.’
Hospital staff: ‘but these are multiple rooms other people may need…’
Beyonce: ….crickets chirp. Blank stare. ‘other people? These rooms are empty. Don’t be ridiculous. You’re just wasting space that we can utilize here!’ Her eyes roll.

        FIN

    • LAK says:

Simon Cowell is quoted as saying Beyonce was the coldest celebrity he had ever met with hard cold eyes.

of course it could be professional jealousy but he doesn’t have an axe to grind i don’t think.

  32. Courtney says:

oh please other stars have done simillar things when they’ve had children especially if the baby or babies are born premature maybe not to this degree but simillar. Mariah Carey rented out multiple rooms when her twins were born 5 weeks early last spring and nobody investigated her for that because the twins ended up in the Nicu for two weeks because of hypoglycemia among other things

    • MerryHappy says:

Renting it is one thing, the complete destruction of those rooms and turning them into a ridiculous swanky baby birthin’ suite is different. Even mimi, who is known as selfish and indulgent did not completely tear down the walls of functioning rooms and take away the option of ever using them again because of her own wants. That’s like comparing apples and asparagus. Yeah celebs can go overboard, but overboard is usually renting rooms for privacy a la mimi, not taking away multiple rooms that will never be assessable to ‘normal’ people again. A normal woman will NEVER see those rooms, and it’ll be more crowded with fewer rooms… Smh.

  33. ladybert62 says:

WHAT? They torn down hospital rooms and turned them into a hotel suite? Is this true? If so, she and husband should be fined and forced to pay for them to be turned back into a hospital suite and then they should be forced to actually pay for a new hospital to be built. Disgusting people.

  34. mel says:

If they can afford to have special rooms then ok. But to not let parents have access to their babies is nothing short of incredible narcissism. The investigation has not been dropped and I hope the hospital is fined to the nth degree for allowing this to happen. I just really really dislike her after all this…even though I do think she had her own baby.

  35. Justaposter says:

Well you know what they say..

Nothing more tacky than new money.

  36. Meg says:

All hospitals have suites in almost every specialty area. I myself defaulted to an OB suite for the delivery of my daughter, because nothing else was open. I live in FL and nowhere near as upscale as NYC and it was ridiculously awesome. Flatscreens, mosaic tile bathroom, wood floors, automatic shades on the windows, etc. I got lucky…but normal non-crazy wealthy people reserve this stuff all the time. It’s really nothing out of the ordinary. I’m sure the tale of it being built is grossly exaggerated.
Also…I’m an RN and I find it hard to believe they would block off access to the NICU. That kind of thing can get a hospital shut down by the state regulatory agencies. Just a thought…
The whole story/scandal/speculation is out of control at this point!

  37. madpoe says:

Did the pillow create Health violations?

  38. kristipistol says:

Denying people access to their own new children is disgraceful and despicable. Blue is no more precious than other children. NO MATTER WHAT THEY THINK.

    • RuddyZooKeeper says:

Seriously! My breasts would have burst! Just waiting for NICU visiting hours to start again was hard enough on my body–I can’t imagine being deprived for days!

  39. dorothy says:

Did anyone really expect NY to do anything about this?

    • Bermuda Blues says:

As for the Health Department…. Talk about Broke!

The NY State Government gives very little funding to the NYC Health Department. This whole saga is superfluous, considering there are drastically worse health conditions around the 5 boroughs. Additionally, any investigation would be closed instantly when Jay-Z flashed his checkbook.

  40. mln76 says:

There is no defense for the way they took over the hospital. It’s vile it’s putrid it’s despicable and I hope that hospital gets sued for every penny they got from Jay-Z and Beyonce.

I still think she was really pregnant.

  41. Bermuda Blues says:

Having a small bit of familiarity with Hospital governance, health investigations, and the power of money…. I would guess that those “luxury suites” were justified to the board as something that the UES Lennox Hill clientele (very upscale) would want, need, use and pay for. The entire renovation was probably paid for by a charitable donation made on behalf of Jay-Z and Beyonce. I would guess this number that keeps coming up: $1.3 M. That’s the donation.

On top of that, they’ll get a hospital bill for close to that number (Beyonce spent THREE DAYS in the hospital – this is nearly unheard of for most Americans who use their medical insurance to pay for the hospital bill – I would guarantee Jay and Bey are paying out of pocket for all the extras)

Newsflash America: Hospitals are broke all over the country. The health services industry was crunched even before the economic downturn, there are laws that you can’t turn away patients, even if they can’t pay. The result is cost-shifting. When someone doesn’t pay their bill, the cost of that bill is shifted to all the other clients who can pay. Hence, the cost of medical care continues to rise, and hospitals need money, just like everyone else, and probably even more than most.

Even in posh neighborhoods in NYC, hospitals are feeling the pinch. Catering toward the wealthy is one way to make some money back. So this was probably a special renovation done for Beyonce and Jay-Z and paid for by them, but the Hospital board probably thinks this is a great investment, a great way to market themselves to prosperous individuals with luxurious tastes and money to burn.

    All sad, all true.

    • Audrey says:

Thank you, very enlightening on the “business” of hospitals. That said, I still think their conspicuous consumption is obscene.

  42. Tazina says:

Let it go already. This story is getting old and who knows what’s true and what isn’t. Most of the gossip written about them in the hospital has turned out to be a bunch of lies, so we don’t know what to believe anyway. People seem to believe everything they read.

  43. for real? says:

i am so over4 this the whole baby bumb thing was fun at first, but now i am beyond disgusted with all the ” news” coverage, because this is NOT NEWS. Jay Z and Beyonce have no shame no class, i get that they have money but to publicly flaunt it like this just sickens me… they are no better than the stupid rapper who throw money on stage, just to prove how much they have. i wish nothing but good health for the baby ( its still a baby, regardless of who its parents are). I will no longer be commenting on any thing pertaining to Blue Ivy untill this bull shit ends.

  44. anahata says:

Ugh she’s fake, he’s fake, I’m sure the baby is real but she sure as hell didn’t carry it. I guarantee you, no matter how great you feel, you do NOT flounce around in heels, standing around endlessly and shopping at 9 months along.

This disgusts me as well. I’m sure their child is wonderful but I’m so so done with this sense of ridiculous entitlement the wealthy have. I am looking at the possibility of having my twins prematurely, unfortunately, and I can tell you – I will claw at anyone that tries to keep me from my babies.

    • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

All the best with your pregnancy. I hope you make it as close to 40 weeks as possible. **sending positive vibes your way**

    • Asli says:

      Sending positive vibes, too! 😀

    • Elizabeth says:

      @ anahata
Prayers for a good long full-term pregnancy!
You see, this is how a pregnant woman afraid of miscarriages or premature birth would act. Concerned about it, wanting to do whatever to protect her babies. Beyonce is full of s**t saying she had a miscarriage before (total fake sympathy move after the hospital fiasco). If it were true, she would not have been out in high heels, flying late in her pregnancy, etc. I am beyond sick of her and her husband. No class!

    • the original bellaluna says:

Praying for an uncomplicated delivery and healthy babies! *hugs* And I agree – no one would keep me from my newborn, premie or not, without forcibly, physically removing me.

    • anahata says:

Thanks you guys for the positive thoughts!

      xoxo

    • DrM says:

I disagree, before my first child was born I worked up to 48 hours before the birth, wore heels, shopped, went to dinner etc. And I wasn’t a small pregnant person either…I felt great. I just think most commentators who think that a) she wasn’t pregnant, b) they paid zillions to have rooms remodeled and c) parents aren’t out to make money off them via lawsuits (you denied me access to my child) need to pour themselves another cup of coffee. Who gives a flying what they do with their money? They earned they owned it, now get over it.

      • It is ME!! says:

anahata is carrying twins. much harder on the body than a singleton.

        Good luck, anahata!!

      • anahata says:

Thanks and that’s right It is Me!

However, the point about “parents being out to make money off of them (you denied me access to my child)” in particular makes me seethe. Look honey, if you deny me access to my premature child, I don’t give a godd#amn about money! I want to see my baby! My baby could be dying! Some things, believe it or not, are more important than the almighty dollar.

    • MerryHappy says:

Best wishes-may you have healthy, happy, and as full term as possible babies 🙂

  45. DarkEmpress says:

Ok, I really agree with you about the hospital. That is just ridiculous to convert 6 rooms into two. They should have used one room and made that to their liking. I feel that considering how many people are too poor to afford health care in the US, that move was particularly distasteful and crass. As for the money they spent on the nursery, I think the high chair and the horse are way over the top. However, the horse has been denied. Its illogical to have a high chair covered in crystals considering it will be covered in mushy food. So her parents bought her a $20 000??? Yeah right. Her parents arent even together. They dont even speak after his affair and him allegedly stealing money from B. Beyonce first talked to her father at the hospital when she delivered her daugher. Why would she also pay for a $3500 dollar or $35 000 crib if her parents bought her one? Who knows if this is true , its all speculation.

  46. Gossip PHD says:

Can you imagine how crazy these two are going with all the awful publicity? The pregnancy was named the “Pillow Pregnancy” and mainstream media outlets were using quotation marks when discussing Beyonce’s pregnancy – as in Beyonce’s “pregnancy”.
I hope the tabs give someone close to them huge $$ to spill the truth. In this day and age, there should be enough financial motivation for someone who knows the truth to spill for cash. Can’t imagine the inner circle is that loyal to these two.

im sorry but this girl has been bleaching, damm i thought it was a white woman… how does a brown skin girl on the album cover where she is wearing the diamod top.. get so light

    • Sab says:

She’s done that since DC. I can’t imagine why as black is beautiful, but self-hatred can really mess a person up. On another note I think the backlash about this pregnancy has been so negative because people are just sick of Beyonce. No one cares anymore, she’s over exposed (in more ways than one) and just seems desperate for attention. I think she was always SO private that people really did stop paying attention, and then she realized she actually DID want the attention, and most people are like why now? Then they pull this diva crap at the hospital, and it just was the icing on the cake of ‘why are you trying so hard when no one even cares?’. Add to that their over-zealous security denying other parents access to their babies, and you truly see how out of touch these two are. Although it is my opinion that it’s because people are simply SICK OF HER.

    • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

Don’t even get me started. Blonde weave, contacts, nose tip refinement, shaved to aquiline nose bridge, bleached to the Dickens skin, best friends with Goop–this girl hates being black like fire hates water. I guess the carcinogens are worth it, so long as you can play ‘exotic orthodox’ for the mainstream. And now her skin’s starting to turn gray. It’s almost as she’s following a script: be black enough for NAACP to let use the title of ‘diva’, and reject your blackness steadily and by degrees until you’ve gone far enough away from it to dwell in the realm of ‘pretty’. So it goes, she’s far from the only one, and I know that it’s professionally expedient to do those things, but black women are the bottom of everyone else’s lists–we can’t catch a break with anyone, we have no haven because we’re pretty much universally un-admired–so to see this just re-affirms and re-inscribes this colourist garbage and effectively says,

‘I’m totally disingenuous about my pride because even we come in all colours of the rainbow and black is beautiful, let the other guys occupy the ebony end and ‘love themselves’ for it, I want to look hawt and entre-nous, sub-Saharan just isn’t and no who shops at Whole Foods is going to want to go after that– *shhhh!* They don’t know that ultimately they’ll never be fantasy girl material because they don’t pass the paper bag test, and it would break their little hearts…and possibly make them want to emulate me and I’m head diva in this situation, not the Soul Glo Set. Oh, am I on? ‘Love youself and be free Amistad–I mean–‘gurl” Yeah, you go, Booty! Work that external validation, break that acceptance barrier, they want you! You’re a credit to your wig!

Good luck to her daughter, good luck to all of us who have the temerity to be black women.

      • Sab says:

        @Jo ‘Mama’ Besser
I love love your post! haha! I’m just waiting for the day when there starts being Micheal Jackson “sightings”. OMG!! He’s alive!!! and it’s actually Beyonce…LOL!

      • OriginalTiffany says:

Hey Jo Mama-I feel for you, and I know there are many cultural reasons for blacks self hating-I never realized that before.
I have to tell you though, my daughter and I think black women are just the most gorgeous, exotic creatures. Indian women as well.
I truly wish it wasn’t that way and that all people could see the beauty in themselves and others even if it is a bit of a different brand of beauty. We are all the same inside.
B is def. headed in MJ territory.
I just can’t wrap my head around why, still. Why the self loathing? I thought black women were all about empowerment?

    • Laura says:

I don’t think it’s bleaching. I think it’s photoshop/powder. Only because in candids she looks WAY darker than in photoshoots and on the red carpet.
Silly. Be proud of the skin you’re born in, no matter what color it is.

  49. Asli says:

This ”pregnancy” went by soooo fast! I won’t be surprised if we see footage of little Baby B. putting on her own diapers and planning a world take-over tomorrow – Stewie-style! Go baby!

    • ccoop says:

It seems like Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Garner have both been preganant longer than Beyonce ever was (IF she was…)

  50. anti says:

So the hospital will be short 6 rooms now for a one time birth? i guess they will have 2 fancy suites for one percenters 😛

  51. only1shmoo says:

Good freakin’ greif, this level of wasteful indulgence is so vulgar it makes me want to shower in Holy water and dress in my most conservative clothes! I get that B. & Jay-Z want privacy and a nice “nest” to welcome their surrogate (or otherwise) baby into the world, but this situation here is just low-class flaunting from nouveau riche folks who want to put their money on display. It’s gross no matter which way you look at it.

    • really says:

So so so true! It just reeks of GHETTO mindset, low class and VULGAR.

It is a good example of what scum is, these two LOSERS have no class, never did and never will no matter how much so called money they have. Money can not buy class or true authentic’ness.

      • Asli says:

Can we stop with this whole Ghetto-thing. I dislike them as much as the next person but let’s not pretend you’d call them ghetto if they weren’t black. It’s not about skin color. They’re despicable but it isn’t because they’re black. It’s because they just are, because that’s how they’ve lived for years and all the money and fame has gone to their heads!

(Don’t want to make this into a black vs. white discussion. Just saying.)

      • Sab says:

Co-sign with Asli. The word ghetto reeks of racist undertones even if that’s not the intention.

      • yoyo says:

I actually agree with really, it is Ghetto. And Asli if they were caucasian and had that behavior then you’d hear complaints about “white trash”.

Ghetto/white trash/new money different ways to say the same thing: their behavior is obnoxious, in poor taste and reflects a lack of education, NOT in terms of booksmarts in terms of “brought-upsy”: flaunting your money around like that is unbecoming a decent human being. They behave like “I got money so I can do anything I want, I don’t care about the consequences to anyone else” I mean when you get to a level where even Maria Carey AND Tom Cruise COMBINED look more humble than you then you KNOW it is time to join AA quick!! (the first A here standing for A-holes) SMH That poor kid is going to have a rough road ahead with 2 severely narcissistic parents…look for her book to come out in 25 years or so…

      • flan says:

If they were white, we would probably have called them trailer-trash.

I think many have actually held back in their critisism of the tacky couple up until this point because we were afraid it would seem racist.

I remember another discussion here a few months back when someone accused people of racism for saying bad (but not racist) things about Beyonce. This even though many white celebrities were attacked a lot more on this website around that time (Linnocent, LeAnn, Goop, Charlie Sheen etc).

      • canadianvixen says:

This is in reply to @fla, the Reply button wasn’t enabled – took the words straight out of my mouth.

      • LAK says:

Since everyone is objecting to Ghetto/white trash, let’s say that these two are chavs and what they did was Chavtastically vulgar.

  52. Violet says:

“They tore apart six to eight perfectly adequate rooms so that Blue Ivy could enter the world in her own VIP suite?”

It’s not just wasteful, it’s criminally irresponsible. That means the hospital had less capacity for pregnant women FOR OVER A MONTH (actually much longer, because the rooms will have to be redone again), which means a lot of displaced patients ended up having to give birth elsewhere.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are so wealthy that they easily could’ve turned a wing of their home into a maternity ward and hired doctors to be on-call for the birth. (For the surrogate, of course. I don’t believe Beyonce was ever pregnant. She’s far too vain to risk ruining her body.)

What a pair of selfish egomaniacs. Definitely not the best people to raise a child.

  53. Annoyed says:

“Occupy Wallstreet” should become “Occupy Jay-Z” – there’s a perfect example of greed and wastefulness. A $15,000 highchair – COME ON!

    • anonymous says:

      @Annoyed~
      YES!
I don’t know if you recall, but this dispicable excuse for a human being, Jay-Z, had his own t-shirts, “occupy all streets” out for a very short time (pulled due to outrage) and was trying to make a profit off of Occupy Wallstreet.

      He is detestable!

  54. the original bellaluna says:

From what I’ve read (Kaiser gave us the link), the hospital plans on offering these suites to other 1%ers who want a “lux” birthing experience.

What I glean from this is that the hospital allowed BeyJay to turn six (or eight, whatever) rooms into two suites at their own personal expense, thereby getting an “upgrade” minus having to pay for it.

And, of course, BeyJay will be writing it off as a “charitable donation” on their taxes.

Which is just the turd candle on this whole cake of disgustingly selfish over-the-top-ness.

    • flan says:

Lol@turd candle. Have to use that some time in speech the coming week 😉

      Also, you made excellent points.

  55. GiGi says:

Let me preface by saying I am no fan of this couple. And I think she probably wasn’t preggers… but…

I looked at the pics of the “lavish” hospital room. Guess what? It looked a lot like the birthing rooms where I live which is a med. sized city in the Mid-west. So if we have rooms like that here it doesn’t seem odd that they would have them in NYC.

I think they probably were fully shady at the hospital, but as far as the room goes, it looks pretty typical from my experience (I have three kids).

    • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

I live in NJ (10 minutes outside of Philadelphia). The hospital where i gave birth (and the ones within a 10 mile radius) cater to upper middle class people, and I still gave birth in a shoebox and had to worry about sharing a shoebox size recovery room with another mother!

Making money off of a movement that is supposed to be about protesting unequal distribution of wealth is crass.

    • Sab says:

Yes heard about that, but since I don’t follow his career thought it wasn’t true, or that he planned on donating the money to charity as I did know he’s very wealthy. Silly me apparently bad PR is their “thing” now.

  57. Shelly says:

Why in the hell would you spend money to remodel a hospital room when you are only going to be there for a few days max?! Because you are too good to touch hospital sheets and look at hospital walls?! It’s a freakin’ hospital where you are going to give birth and be in pain – do you really think you’re gonna give a shit about the decor then?! Good grief! These two disgust me.

    • eileen says:

You just saved me writing time-ITA with everything you just said. They need to get over themselves stat.

      • Petunia says:

Am I alone in thinking that a hospital wouldn’t allow its rooms to be redecorated, even if someone paid to do it? They need to have certain sanitary measures, plus curtains and bedding in hospitals need to meet specific fire code ratings. This sounds fabricated to me.

  58. Dana M says:

If Beyonce birthed “naturally” she should’ve strongly considered a homebirth, this way they would have their privacy. But, OTOH, maybe her surrogate wanted a hospital birth (written in the contract/NDA).

  59. UKHels says:

how unbelievably vulgar they are – even posh and becks could take lessons

the timing is all very odd to me – my friend is pregnant and I remember discussing Bey with her in about October and us working out that they were due around the same time…except she’s not due until 14 February

  60. Mara says:

They have alot of money but this is just for this life many kids die hungry in the world and some people play with their money buying very expensive things . I believe this story everybody knows Beyonce she is a diva.

Umm, not from B, she’s not. Surrogate, maybe.

    Ick.

    • Sab says:

As if they would allow the “peasant” surrogate to nurse their child with Salma Hayeck available as a whet-nurse…

  62. Jane says:

Why couldn’t they just do a home birth? There are specialty birthing places out there too that are not at hospitals, and they were much more luxurious.

  63. Anne christoff says:

    How I despise “new wealth”.

I know families with generations of old money, wealthier than these two freaks, who would be embarassed to be in the same room with any of the loot described here, let alone in possession of it.

Vulgarity is vulgarity and no amount of money in the world can teach class. You have or you don’t.

  64. Petunia says:

That windmill playhouse and trunk full of books sounds AWESOME for a kid! The coach crib does too.

This really needs to be resolved so it’s either known that Beyonce pulled a Cruella De Ville with other parents at the hospital or not. It’s not fair to say that she did and hogged all of that space if she didn’t. But if she did, shame on her for keeping other parents from seeing their newborns. That’s the worst thing, to me.

I heard the new song dedicated to Pillow Ivy and thought it was incredibly lame. Lame. But a nice thought.

    • ccoop says:

      “Pillow Ivy” – bwahaha.

    • flan says:

The books are a great gift, but neither Bey or Jay seem like the kind of people who ever read anything, but contracts stipulating their crazy wishes when performing somewhere.

I can see them paying the hospital to put in the two new suites. If the hospital just put them in because they needed them, they wouldn’t have left them empty for a month before the royal pains in the ass arrived to fake their babies birth.

Blue Ivy is already taking over Suri’s title as H.B.I.C. (Head Brat In Charge). Little Suri is probably drowning her sorrows in orange juice and screaming at security guards (wondering why SHE didn’t get a ”pony made of gold”). I can just see it now. Her head bowed in shame at the kitchen table, telling the help to ”leave the carton” of orange juice as she contemplates her next move. Another public outburst? More designer dresses? Star in her own movie? Aaaaaah, The Brat figth of the century is soon to be upon us. Who will come out in charge?!

    Empress Zahara for the win!

(Yes, I have waaaay to much time on my hands :D)

  69. Beatriz says:

Why the f–k would you need 4 flat-screen TV’s?!?!? These people are disgusting, but the hospital authorities are even worse for allowing this.

  70. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

I (for my own sanity) have to believe this is gossip, not fact and the details of the misadventures are too egregious for me accept until I see proof. I’m choosing to take an ‘innocent until proven asshole’ stance.

  71. Courtney says:

Mariah rented multple rooms to but her twins were also five weeks premature due to life threatenning complications some of which lingered after delivery so she couldn’t leave the hospital but she didn’t remodel the rooms likee Bey did. mind you Lenox Hill is no where near tribeca it’s on the upper east side and tribeca is near the bowry downtown. st Vincents if it were still open would’ve been a better choice

  72. Larissa says:

The gossip +conspiracy just doesnt add up, like they would refurbish the whole entire floor for some woman to pop up their child. If people really think Beyonce is really that self-centered / narcisistic then she would never have another woman having her own child even less raise someone elses, especially not a mistress… lol, these stories are just too funny!!!!!!

  73. Amanda says:

I don’t care if she had a natural birth or not, but this is ridiculous. And if other people were not able to see their newborns because of them, then that’s just wrong.

  74. Kimberly says:

it’s one thing to be wealthy, but these two are sick arrogant people. If they were so insecure regarding the birth of their child, then they should have had a home birth, and built what they needed on their own property.

I’ve slowly stopped liking Beyonce over the years, and I really don’t want to hear the crap she releases now that she’s a mother.

I’ve moved on from her music and her arrogant lifestyle. A lifestyle that is no longer impresses me, and seems too needy of the public’s affection.

    • flan says:

      Same here.

Always looked forward to any new Destiny’s Child girl-power songs. It took me a long time from like to dislike, but this whole big middle finger to people in this weak economy makes me find them disgusting now.

  75. Bambi says:

No matter how much money was given to me or how nice the hospital “suite,” there is no way I would ever want to give birth to a baby whose father was Jay-Z! He’s ugly and also seems like a jackass. Monetary wealth is not everything.

  76. Dana M says:

    LOL@ petunia’s ” Pillow Ivy”

  77. Feebee says:

    Oops, double post

  78. Feebee says:

I don’t know why they didn’t opt for a home birth. The way they reportedly do things they could have hired an OB/GYN and a couple of nurses plus whatever medical equipment in case of emergency. Then they wouldn’t have had to put other families out at Lenox Hill and avoided this publicity circus.

  79. foozy says:

shocking and disgusting! they could’ve helped starving children in africa with that kind of money. can no longer stand this beyonce chick and her incredible bad taste and as for jay z, he’s talentless! check out renegade with eminem on letterman and tell me who is the real talent. eminem hands down!

  80. sally says:

No person is worth the attention we give beyonDsay–and no child is worth the attention beyondsay is gonna give her average at best, blue kid.

    NEXT.

  81. MrsNix says:

Okay, I know people are really upset about all this, and I think it’s trashy, too, but all I got out of this article was a high chair dripping in crystals.

    HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

Whether it’s true or not, the image of an angry baby who doesn’t LIKE peas today smearing said peas with gusto into all those crystals is the funniest image I’ve had in my head all morning.

Oh, the stupid dreams of perfection and things that don’t matter all come crashing down when your 8 month-old baby takes off her own diaper, pees on the carpet, and then throws food at you while you try to clean her up. Don’t worry, Ladies….these idiot parents will get theirs no matter how many obscene outlays of cash they plop down on ridiculous and over-the-top baby gear.

    • OriginalTiffany says:

Oh now, you are assuming the nannies won’t be doing all that? Bey and J and gonna clean the peas and pees? Nope, that’s why they hire peasant nannies!

  82. RuddyZooKeeper says:

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but the NICU isn’t just for preemies, it’s for sick newborns. My babies both had NICU stays, and both times there were grieving families because babies had passed while we were there. Disgusting that families may have been deprived of final moments with their children. Just selfish and sick. I don’t see that the hospital could have let this happen.

  83. Mama says:

Did anyone else notice that Beyonce checked into the hospital on a Friday and left on Tuesday?

Normal vaginal births only require TWO days in the hospital…..unless of course your surrogate has a C-section …which would require more days. Just a thought

    • sam says:

Unless she was there for an “induction” which can take a few days.. Saying that, Im a midwife. I am 100% convinced she was not pregnant.
