OK quite often when I read about how bad some singer’s performance was, I figure it’s usually just based on whether or not you like the person. I despise Avril Lavigne so I tend to think she’s a talentless hack, but sometimes, SOMETIMES, I can tell she might actually have a decent voice, and I recognize I’m just totally biased.
However. I just clicked that link and listened to the *cough* “performance” and…and…DEAR GOD…DEAR ALL THAT IS HOLY AND…

re: Patrick Dempsey - I might have read that Lainey piece wrong, so correct me if I’m mistaken, but it sounds to ME that he’s basically saying “Yeah, it’s total homophobic bullshit” without actually SAYING it. Anyone? Am I way off?
If I’m right, I actually might have to start liking that guy now…
