Kelly Osbourne channels Marilyn for milk ads: the best she’s ever looked?

When last we heard from Kelly Osbourne, Radar claimed that Kelly’s three-year sobriety was pretty much over – sources told Radar that Kelly had been back to drinking and partying heavily. Whether or not that report was factual, it seems like Kelly decided to help her image by “modeling” for something especially wholesome – MILK. The Brits have based their “Make Mine Milk” ad campaigns on the American “Got Milk?” campaigns, and Kelly is the latest UK spokesperson for Milk. I got the weirdest image of Kelly slurring, “Make mine a White Russian!” as she posed for these ads. Seriously, though, these are maybe the most attractive photos I’ve ever seen of Kelly.

A glass of ice cold milk or some semi-skimmed poured onto a bowl of cornflakes is a far cry from the red carpet glitz of star-studded Hollywood events. But Kelly Osbourne is a girl all for a good cause – especially when given the chance to sex it up and add some glamour to proceedings. The TV presenter is the new face of the Make Mine Milk campaign, the spin-off of the US campaign of Got Milk?

And she brought some old school Hollywood glamour to the campaign as she channeled Marilyn Monroe with her sexy satin gown and big pinned-up blonde curls. Of course, no celebrity who takes part in these milk campaigns escapes without a milk moustache, not even Kelly Rowland before her. But ever one to have a laugh and a joke, Kelly, 27, put on a broad smile to complement the smear of dairy on her top lip as she posed for the pictures for the campaign.

Kelly is the new face of the campaign, which has the tagline, ‘breakfast, make up, wardrobe’, in an attempt to encourage the nation to begin their day with a low fat and healthy start. The campaign wants to get across that milk is packed full of nutrients and contains less than two percent fat.

Reformed wild child Kelly now lives a very healthy lifestyle and said that she considers breakfast to be the most important meal of the day.

She said: ‘I never thought I’d say this but I really do believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I always make sure I have mine with low fat milk. I learnt a lot about healthy eating during my time on Dancing With the Stars in the US and have been eating breakfast every day since, it just gets my day off to the best possible start.’

[From The Mail]

I know a lot of people who swear by rice milk rather than dairy milk… I’m just sayin’. I’m not trying to start a vegan flame war or anything. I’m just not much of a dairy person. But I like Kelly as the face of this campaign, and I’m consistently surprised with how much “modeling” work she actually gets. Good job Kelly O?

Why are so many celebrities obsessed with being Marilyn?? Get your own look!!!

    Kelly does look better:-)

  2. Aiobhan says:

I like Kelly and love her on Fashion Police but the orange tinge she is being showcased in this photo is completely unattractive even with her pretty smile. The photo with her with the black dress an skin looking less baked is much better. But good for her getting all of these modeling jobs.

  3. Jackie says:

she looks really good in the black dress photo. i even like her hair in that pic.

  4. NM6804 says:

Ugh, every non-talent that wants to associate herself with the wonderful Ms. Monroe is putting a taint on MM’s legacy. People don’t think much of MM (or are misinformed) because so many “stars” interpret her in THEIR sleazy, self-promotional way but she wasn’t at all.

Osbourne’s make-up in the first pic is yellow-ish. Doesn’t look good.

Please get over the Marilyn Thing – get your own identity.

And just in passing, Marilyn did not have tattoos as far as I know.

No, Kelly does NOT look good here.

    • Franny says:

to be fair, she just has rollers in her hair and red lipstick on – its not like she is wearing the famous white dress and posing the same.

  6. Floridaseaturtle says:

I agree, she looks cute. I think mostly because of her hair. It looks like she changed her color again, which would be great! That lavender/grey was just hideous and confusing. She has such a sweet face and smile. But I hate her choices of tattoo’s and their placement. Reminds me of Lindsay’s tattoos. Just looks trashy, instead of fun.

  7. Cathy says:

The only picture I like is the one with her wearing the black dress. But then again, I’ll be honest and say I don’t particularly care for her. The only reason she’s famous is because of her mom and dad.

  8. SashaVice says:

Not a day goes buy without some bish trying to be Marilyn. It’s getting really old…even that 17 yr old hag Courtney Stodden is trying to get a piece.

Kelly pulls it off better than most of the other gals, but can someone please explain why her face is about 10 shades different from her neck? Her neck looks like her normal skin color, whereas her face looks like a dead shade of yellow.

    • Floridaseaturtle says:

Yeah, wow, didn’t notice that before. You are right. Very suprising, but it looks like the ‘professional’ makeup artist(s) used the wrong colors on her skin. Wow, you would think someone would have noticed.

  9. RocketMerry says:

Milk is NOT good for you, FYI.
Humans are, as almost all mammals, not genetically built to process lactose in big quantities after the first years of age. There are people who can keep on having dairies with little visible harm: their bodies are actually addicted to it.
So, these ad campaigns are moronic.
Do the same but with veggies, I say!

    • irishserra says:

I agree with you. Your body doesn’t even absorb the nutrients from animal products as well as from plant-based. Just sayin’.

Also, did you know that since dairy has become more readily accessible to women and children in Africa, osteoporosis and dental issues have gone through the roof?

  10. some bitch says:

The Marilyn theme is just so overdone… I’m suffering from Marilyn exhaustion just from seeing Lohan’s eighty five thousand attempts to be Marilyn.

That being said, Kelly looks freakin’ FANTASTIC in that black dress. Her eyebrows look pretty great too. I used to really dislike this girl, but she’s grown on me. She’s not particularly talented in any way but sometimes she can be pretty funny.

    • Becky1 says:

Agreed! I’m so tired of Marilyn Monroe inspired photo shoots, images, etc. It’s time to move on to another iconic celebrity and let Marilyn rest in peace.

I think Kelly looks cute, though.

  11. ruby says:

Her face and hair are the same colour. That totally creeps me out.

  12. Orange Cone says:

she ANNOYS me to no end!! she is NOTHING SPECIAL- just a POS. maybe annoying is not the word; I think it’s more HATE. she is just a terrible human being if that’s what we have to call her.

  13. Franny says:

I think she looks great…especially in that last picture which isn’t photoshopped. I know some people on her dislike her, but I think she’s cute.

  14. Darlene says:

    Her tattoos are so tacky.

  15. Darlene says:

    ps. Rice milk is DELICIOUS.

  16. Bad Gal Addiction says:

“Campaign financed with aid from the European Union”

So there goes some of my tax money. In dairy advertising with celebs. I want to throw up! Milk is disgusting, makes you fat and sick!

  17. Meecey says:

All I can say is thank God she got rid of that hideous GRAY hair!

  18. The Bobster says:

Norma Jean wouldn’t even use Quagmire as a buttwipe.

  19. EatCake says:

In the second to last picture she has a milk mustache yet she’s eating a bowl of cereal… with a spoon…

Someone didn’t think that through all the way

    😀

  20. Agnes says:

i can’t stand to look at her face, for some reason. inherently annoying or something.

  21. Bej says:

Is she channeling Marilyn or just doing that retro pinup look?

  22. apsutter says:

Woah…she looks like Kate Winslet in the last pic

  23. crtb says:

As much as I like tattoos, I don’t like hers. I remember when she got her first one and her mom begged her not to get any more. She should have listened.

Read the book Skinny B1tch. You’ll never drink milk or soda ever again!

  24. Mourning the Death of Music says:

I don’t care for the bold red or the bold pink lipstick in any of these photos. It simply doesn’t look nice on her.

  25. Hooo boy… another one doing a Marilyn themed photoshoot. Ladies, this isn’t original. Stop doing it.

That said, yes she likes nice enough, but the Marilyn Monroe thing is so played.

  26. mek821 says:

Benny Hill made a better looking woman than Kelly.

  27. normades says:

Kelly looks like she has Jaundice in that first pic.

  28. JessSaysNo says:

OMG…get OVER the Marilyn look. It looks crackie on EVERYONE! Also, horrific yellow-face. The back dress photo of her is much more beautiful.
