We are about 55 hours away from seeing Casper Smart escort his girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, down the Academy Awards red carpet. I’m actually excited! I mean, it’s going to be awful and hilarious, of course. That’s why I’m looking forward to it! I can’t wait to see how Jennifer grooms and styles Casper. I can’t wait to see her red-carpet “TRY” face, which usually includes parted lips, half-closed eyes and an expression of “I’m holding in a fart RIGHT NOW.” And Casper will have posing lessons too! Because everybody will want to see their body language, especially when they pose arm-in-arm together on the red carpet. His hand on her hip, her hand on his back, faces close together? Or will Jennifer give us her profile, with a half-turned face as Casper – as he has been trained – stares lovingly at her? It will be epic.
Anyway, Us Weekly has a little story in their print edition about J.Lo and Casper, and it was just cracking me up. These “sources” make it sound like Casper is a ballsy golddigger and Jennifer is just with him because he’s the only guy who asked her out.
People scoffed that Casper Smart was just a backup dancer when Jennifer Lopez chose him as her arm candy last November, but the diva saw something more.
“He had swagger, and the confidence to ask her out,” says a source close to Jennifer. And Smart, 24, knew how to seize the moment, says the pal.
“Who does she meet when she works all the time? Her dancers. It’s not like she’s meeting guys on JDate!”

“It’s not like she’s meeting guys on JDate!” When did JDate become a punch line? I hear people using that Jewish dating site as a quip all the time. Is it funny because Jennifer isn’t Jewish, and she actually practices blood rituals with Santeria? And what would be so wrong if Jennifer stepped outside of her comfort zone of backup dancers and celebrities and actually dated someone suitable that she found online or something? Ugh. And I really hate the attribute of “swagger” – when did that become a thing? People say Justin Bieber has “swagger”. And now Casper? “Swagger” is not WHY you date someone (when you’re in your 40s).

i knew that jlo would present on oscar but i never thought about that it would mean he would also be there. could be because this seems so unrealistic but oh well.

He’s young, he’s tatted up and he was around. Sounds to me like he had all the requirements needed for J Lo. Brain not needed.
I’m no JLo fan, but he’s not nearly pretty enough for her. She’s absolutely dumpster diving.
She has psychological issues. She NEEDS to have a man ALWAYS! It wasn’t like he was special, he had a penis and gave her attention. That seems to be the only pre-requisite she needs. She annoys me.

I think JLo has has problems with dating that go way beyond her constant need to be part of a couple.
It makes it logical for her to date this guy, but it makes it hard to maintain healthy relationships with men.
She seems to have this need to be both (1) in control and (2) with a man she can respect, which in her case means an Alpha Dog.
If she gets the AD, like Skeletor, she chafes at how controlling he is. She’s clawed her way up professionally, and she can’t deal, long term, with men who have problems with successful women.
If she gets someone who is less dominant, she feels dissatisfied and loses respect for him. Look at the backup dancer she married.
So Casper is perfect for her – at the moment. He has no problem with her being successful and far richer than she. But he has swagger and dominance, and takes it as a given that he’s the alpha in the relationship, no matter what onlookers might think.
I feel like I need to sit her down and have a chat. Does she not read gossip about other celebrities to guide her way?

i do have a problem with this couple, but it has always been with j-lo, look at her track record, what real man wants to be with someone like her? controlling, desperate, no class, multiple men, ew,,where are her children? it’s OK to have a family and career, but she seems to care more about her relevancy than her family, touring,a.i., boyfriends, sponsors, reality show with ex-husband, every now and then she does a photo op at the beach/park with the twins. uh, Casper is easy for her to be with, swagger should not be a reason to be with someone, maybe he has something that we do not see, we don’t know him.
Yes, I also wonder why no A-list actor wanted to be with JLo, (Brad Pitt and Leonardo level), even Ben at that time was still considered rather B and won an Oscar partly because Matt Damon shared the credit. But even Ben bailed out. Marc is truly talented and is a superstar in Latin community, but outside it, like in Asia where I’m currently posted, he’s not that well-known.
