There were so many hot young things on the Independent Spirit Awards red carpet that they’ll probably rival today’s Oscars for male eye candy. First off we have the lovely Alex Skarsgard in a tight-fitting navy suit and white shirt. You ladies (and gentlemen?) have been begging for new photos of Alex for a while – isn’t it weird that he rarely gets pap’d now that he’s not with Kate Bosworth? On the plus side, The Bos is no longer grinding on that. On the minus side, we see a lot less of him.
Matt Bomer’s face is perfection. He looks like he was generated by a computer.
Colin Farrell is incapable of bringing the hotness while wearing a sweater vest. Now we know. What’s up with him lately? For such a notorious “swordsman” lately he seems so… neutered.
Zachary Quinto won a Spirit Award for Margin Call. He needs to invest in new frames, I think.
Chris Pine is not my type or CB’s type. What type of woman does like Chris Pine? He just seems so… vanilla. And it seems like he digs really cheap women too. Kind of gross. Also, CB deems Chris’s brown shoes “lady wood killer”. She’s right.
Simon Baker hid the hotness under some sunglasses, damnit. He’s just so lovely with that tousled hair and that shining smile. Baker was there for his film Margin Call, which won the Robert Altman award, given “to one film’s director, casting director, and its ensemble cast.”
Ian Somerhalder was without his girlfriend and co-star, Nina Dobrev, and I’m sure many of you prefer him that way. Look at his perfectly mussed-up hair and just the right amount of well cultivated scruff. Perfection. Or too pretty?
Oh no, Ethan Hawke, you cannot rock a trucker hat on the red carpet. CB is making fun of me because Ethan is my preferred “shamef–k” but even I can’t defend this. My biscuits are all “meh.”
UPDATE: Forgot Demian Bichir! He’s handsome, but his wife/girlfriend needs to tone it down, I think. This dress is too much for the Spirit Awards.

Lovely to see new pics of Alex. He’s so low key now since Bosworth has moved on to tipping off the papps in her new relationship.
I miss the frequent gym attire pap shots of Alex, but I suspect he’s quite happy being able to avoid the paps.
And smart enough to realize it’s probably better to have fans wanting more pics of you than thinking: “you can stop with the pap shots anytime”
Kaiser, I think the type that likes Chris Pine is the same type that likes what’s-his-face who plays Captain American. Pine seems like the pocket-version.

Hmm, I was going to say I didn’t really agree, b/c I think Evans is cute while Pine is just meh. BUT, I realized as I was writing, that they’re both classically all-American types, so I guess that’s who likes Pine. But even Evans (who I do, honestly, think is a cutie) is too all-American for me, so I think you’ve got something about the two of them generally appealing to the same type.
Perhaps…but, personally I can’t stand pine, while I adore Chris Evans.
Matt Bomer: not a dry seat in the house, is there? He’s stunning.

But at least those glasses (try to) hide the hot mess that are his half-shaved eyebrows :). I know, it’s for a movie, but still: YEESH. (Kaiser, you’re obsessed with eyebrows! Am very surprised this didn’t get a mention ;)).
Alex is ridiculous to look at. I try not to drool every time I see him. I guess I am the only one that does not mind that is not always being photographed. Some actors I don’t need to see all the time. Cate, Noomi(who no one ever really talks about outside of TGWTDT :(. and Daniel Day-Lewis I never really want to read about on them site all the time.
I think Colin has toned down a lot since his son was born. I don’t think that it is a bad thing but not it is not exciting either. Don’ t like the Rick Santorum sweater vest and pervert stache/soul patch combo but I do like the suit.

Well of course some people and I think most do care and will always care just as people will always want to know what celeb is dating who, but why would they hide it especially when it’s pretty much already known? Just because I don’t see Zachary as hot because he likes men doesn’t mean that I’m not in tow to see the next Star Trek or any of his other films. I also see Tom Cruise and Will Smith movies.

It took me a good 5 – 10 minutes of serious drooling to make it past those first two pictures. Not a bad way to spend some quality time on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you, Kaiser! ASkars may not be seen as often anymore (I’ll take it if means no more of The Bos *shudders*), but when he is out and about…good grief, he makes it count. Yep, biscuits are tingling! TMI? Nah, I think Alex is straight and a bit of a player judging by all accounts and statements he’s made even when asked way before he hit it big. Not to say things couldn’t change, but he strikes me as the type with more than a few frat boy moments rather than gay or bi. Either way, he’s hot as hell.

GoodCapon, it’s makeup! A lot of stars get caught up this way – if their stylists don’t blend it in enough, they wind up with white powder streaks that show up in the flashbulbs.
And I agree 100% about Chris Pine. I think he’s quite good looking, but he definitely lives cheap women, and seems like a real frat guy.
If that’s the case then Matt needs to fire his make-up artist then! I’ve seen him in countless events where he looks like this.
