CLOSE….Its LUPUS. He was diagnosed with lupus at the same time he was diagnosed with vitiligo. It was 1984. The nails are discolored as a side effect of the lupus medication.

Sheesh people! I can’t stand the ifnorance i hear from people. AND THE FEATURED ANSWER IS NOT THE RIGHT ONE. TRUST ME< ITS THE LUPUS MEDS.

you lot are all sick, cant you just leave the poor man alone, does it matter what color his nails are, the man deserves his privacy, you lot wouldnt like it if you were the constant subject of speculation and rumours so what gives you the right to do it to someone else, no matter how famous they are, get a grip and get a life!

MICHEAL JACKSON HAS VITILIGO WHICH CAUSES YOU TO LOSE THE PIGMANT IN YOUR SKIN. IF YOU NOTICED THIS IS THE REASON WHY HE USED TO WEAR BANDAIDS ON HIS FINGERTIPS. It is either nail varnish of some fashion or if you look at his actual hand it looks really cold, so he could just be freezing!

i’ve had cytoxan for breast cancer. my nails turned purple and then black. as far as i can tell from my own experience and that of other patients being treated at the same time copper is not a normal color for this side effect.

Not all anybody has the same anything. That being said, the overwhelming majority of black people have pink nail beds. The majority of all people have pink nail beds.

I would guess that the discoloration could be attributed to poor circulation. Or to some type of fungus. OR dude has cancer. Which would suck for him. He has enough going on with out the cancer.

Hello…he is naturally a dark brown skin man, therefore his nail beds will not be the freaky color of his bleached skin.

I noticed his nails years ago right after he bleached his skinny body. The nails have always been discolored. It has to be about his original color coming through. What a mess, but fun to watch.

Not all black people have the same color nail beds-some have pink, some darker. It is the same with gum tissue. Some black people have very dark gums, some have pink and some have pink with darker (pigmented) spots.
