Kate Bosworth shares a stylist with Sienna Miller & Rosie: surprising?

Here are some new photos of Kate Bosworth, for no other reason than I wanted to talk about her. It always surprises me that The Bos is still a thing, that people are still interested in talking about her, that she still gets cast in movies, that she’s got a boyfriend, and modeling contracts, and a Twitter account. As for these photos, I like The Bos’s outfit, surprisingly enough. I usually only like her on a red carpet, very rarely do I like her casual “street” wear. But this is nice. Skinny jeans (which work on her), booties, two cute layered tops and lots of jewelry. This probably isn’t her street wear, though – I’m thinking that she’s just come out of a meeting. Fame Pictures notes that she was leaving the SAG building.

Speaking of The Bos’s style, this week’s Hollywood Reporter cover story is all about Hollywood stylists. The Bos’s stylist, Cher Coulter, is profiled. I didn’t know The Bos had a stylist, but there you go. Coulter also styles Sienna Miller (mind blown), Elizabeth Olsen (I can see that) and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (mind blown). Obviously, Coulter has a thing for Burberry, because three of those ladies are associated with the brand to varying degrees. Here’s THR’s write-up on The Bos’s stylist:

Cher Coulter:

British stylist Coulter studied at Central St. Martins and launched her own menswear line, AKA (now defunct), right out of school. She came to Los Angeles on a whim about 10 years ago and ended up styling a photo shoot for Flaunt magazine with Orlando Bloom (she was friends with him in London before he became famous).

Now fashion girls Bosworth, Miller and Huntington-Whiteley look to Coulter to rock their red-carpet style. Says Huntington-Whiteley: “I was looking for a stylist to help with my Transformers press tour last summer, and I asked my publicist, ‘Who styles Kate Bosworth?’ because I’ve always admired her style.”

The model-turned-actress was at first put off by Coulter’s first name (“Sooo L.A. sounding!”), but after the stylist made a house call, the Brits hit it off.

“It was like … she’s English, she’s hired,” jokes Huntington-Whiteley. Coulter describes the Transformers actress’ red-carpet style as “straight-up cool, classic and sexy.”

A few of their stellar moments include a shimmery va-va-voom red Antonio Berardi dress at the film’s New York premiere (“It ended up being a bit of a Jessica Rabbit moment,” says Huntington-Whiteley) and another red Berardi, this one a knockout cap-sleeve fitted column, at the post-Oscar Vanity Fair party.

Coulter also co-designs, with Bosworth, a jewelry collection for online style site JewelMint. For breakout indie actress Olsen, Coulter put together chic, young Chanel, Chloe and Balmain looks during awards season and dressed her in a sunshine-yellow, graphically beaded long-sleeve minidress by Emilio Pucci at the Critics’ Choice Awards.

“A great awards-season dress is one that you look back at 10 years later and think it’s a ‘wow’ dress,” says Coulter. “It stands the test of time.”

While I would never say “Get me Kate Bosworth’s stylist!” I would say “Get me Rosie’s stylist!” I like the way Rosie is styled almost always. Which makes me think Cher is really good at her job, and that she takes on clients who already have a good eye. You can read the full Hollywood Reporter cover story here – they also profile Angelina Jolie’s stylist, Jennifer Rade, the woman responsible for all of Angelina’s trash-bag dresses. And The Leg. I would love it if Coulter took on Angelina.

You want Angelina to be dead to the world boring? Cuz that’s what those other people are. Seriously BORING.

  2. Gene Paremsan says:

But what movies is she being cast in?? i can only name 2 movies she’s been in blue crush and superman. No high profile movies..There’s nothing really special or identifiable bout her except the guys she dates…mm same thing with Sienna Miller so not surprised that they have at least another thing in common in place of a stylist

She’s got some already filmed that are schedule for release this year, but nothing new in the pipleline.
I don’t like her in skinny jeans, it makes her look even smaller.
Her dressy style is fine, her actual casual style not so much.

  3. Ainsley says:

I’ve never understood why people like Kate’s style. She’s super skinny–which stylists and celebs would like–but what she wears isn’t special. Her outfits are basic, her accessories are usually ugly, and she always wears unflattering booties. Don’t get it!

    • Ginger says:

I completely agree with you. I’ve never got it. She follows fashion. There is nothing special about that.
She is also way to think and skinny jeans look bad on her.
Oh and you know the reason she is wearing all that horrible jewelry is because she’s pimping her jewelry line. Which I’ve honestly not one piece that I like.

  4. Mirella says:

I don’t understand why she’s considered a “fashion icon”. I guess since the acting thing didn’t work, she’s trying to be a model?

  5. Sandra says:

Why is that surprising? She’s been a “fashion girl” for like 10 years now. I think her casual style sucks, but people who go to that Fashion Spot site or whatever eat stuff like that up. *shrug* different strokes for different folks.

She and her boyfriend are disgusting on twitter though. Get a freaking room.

    • cr says:

She should be happy, she finally found someone who’s willing to play along with the famewhore game.

  6. hstl1 says:

I don’t think she has any style. Jewelmint is a total disappointment as their pieces are kind of cheap.

    • Rachel() says:

Sometimes their stuff is kind of pretty, but it is cheap. I’ve gotten one thing from the site, and it broke as soon as I got it. Just from me putting it on…

  7. lady chatterley says:

this girl has a great taste for clothing, besides she is incredibly beautiful….the only thing that seems not too apprpiate it is the hobbit bf who gets my teeth on edge, he is revolting….compared with the nordic god

  8. Rebane says:

I’m pretty sure I owned this exact outfit in middle school. I accessorized it the same way too.

  9. amc says:

She’s such a style icon and so original she has a stylist for coachella pick out her outfits. Cher tweeted about the great outfits she had put together for bos…..real icon!!!

  10. cht says:

What does she do? I mean, I know she’s an “actress” but what has she acted in recently? And don’t name some supposedly indie super intellectual film that no one actually saw in an attempt to be clever.

    • cr says:

You mean that actually got noticed (aside from Straw Dogs and that was more because of the relationship with Alex), nothing really since Superman Returns. And that was what, 2006?
Other than small indies already filmed from last year or 2010, nothing is upcoming.
Fashion is what she does now, acting is sort of side job now. Whether that’s by choice or not, who knows.
