At this point, just looking at photos of Jessica Simpson is enough to give me a panic attack. Like, my heart starts racing and I break out in a cold sweat. I just can’t help but think about uncomfortable she must be, and how the build up to her due date keeps growing… and it just makes anxious. I’m a mess on her behalf. It doesn’t help that I have a well-documented fear of anything delivery-related… ugh. I need to stop talking about this. I might throw up.
So these are new photos of Jessica Simpson at her baby shower over the weekend. If you come away with anything from this post, let it be two-fold: I will vomit on you if you talk to me about childbirth AND Jessica isn’t due for another three weeks/a month. For real, on both counts. Everyone was saying Jessica was due at the end of March, but now Jessica is saying she’s not due until, like, mid-April. Jesus. Poor Jessica.

Earlier this month, Simpson confirmed to ELLE magazine (where she posed nude for the cover) that she and her fiance are happily expecting a girl.
Coming as no surprise, pink and yellow was the surrounding color theme of the afternoon, with tube-shaped balloons and spring tulips placed throughout the venue.
“She received tons of gifts mostly wrapped in pink gift wrap and boxes,” adds the source. “There were several books, stuffed toys and clothes among other items.”
While baby showers are traditionally a surprise, Jessica was not interested in being left in the clouds — she arrived before any of her guests to check out the space, pre-party!

Jessica is so HUGE. and she is a very tiny woman. I know she says her breast are real, but I was looking at some older pictures. Yes she had a good size breast, but they are way way bigger. And that was before she got pregnant.

My friend has twins that were about 6.5 lbs each, and she was smaller than that, and not as skinny as Jessica was to begin with.
She looks incredibly uncomfortable. I think she’s going to have a hard time taking off this weight, hopefully everyone leaves her alone and she doesn’t jump into some silly diet endorsement right away.

I gave birth to a 10pdr! I was huge at the end and the little sucker was past due! Gawd! I hadn’t seen my feet in months….yes it’s uncomfortable but some of us just get very big when pregnant. There isn’t much you can do about it. Believe me I watched what I ate and exercised.
Same here. I am only 5’3 and my son was 11 pounds on the dot! I was as big as Jessica in these photos, despite good eating habits. My husband is a big Guy like Eric Johnson is and our son takes after him.
My son was nine pounds and I was big, but nowhere nearly this big. I was in misery at the end. He was 5’8 at 11, he’s going to be a whopper.

She’s humongous! I can’t even imagine being that big. I’d lay out in the sun on a towel in the backyard like a beached whale until that baby came out. How do you even have the energy to give birth after being that big for months? She is scaring me away from pregnancy right now!

I was that big with my son, mainly because I went into labor at 26 weeks. I managed to make it to 8 mths (barely) with multiple steriod shots and medication. My boobs weren’t an issue while pregnant but my stomach shelved them nicely. As soon as I popped and I dropped the massive water weight (30 lbs before I left the hospital) I was miserable. I made a year before I had to go through a reduction. I was only a D prior to getting pregnant. I can’t imagine what this poor girl is going to deal with after she downloads. I just hope that the baby is healthy and so is she. Good luck bouncing back… it will just give me hope if she manages to look any where close to what she did before without surgery.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. She lost her first pregnancy so for her second the doctors put her on steroids and some other stuff. Poor girl got HUGE. And she was a petite, very fit, little thing before. She was about as wide as she was tall.
Maybe Jessica has gone through this, or something similar? If that is the case, then brava to her for going through this to have a healthy baby.
Is it only me or she seems to be preggo forever? And there is interesting gossip about her (?): This celebrity mom-to-be is treating her body like a garbage disposal. She is unashamedly eating anything and everything she wants. The weight gain is already obvious, but it’s all part of her plan. She has already inked a deal with a weight loss company and will be sporting a slim and trim post baby body before you can say deep fried Twinkie. However, the secret of her incredible pound shedding will be plastic surgery, not diet and exercise. Right now she and her manager are deciding whether or not to add a breast reduction to the lipo and tuck procedures. News that she is in labor will hit soon, but it’s actually a scheduled c-section.

oh shut up she looks so big because she’s short and her daughter is measuring big give her a break. my mom who’s the same body type and roughly the same height did the same thing during bother her successful pregnancies nearly 30 years ago due to complications which Jessica may have also and not want to speak about before her daughter is born. the photos may end up in a magazine for 90,000 dollars and the first pics of Maxwell for a million not that selling baby pics or making big money of off them is a new phenomenon. I believe the first pics of Lucy Dahl sold to life Magazine for 3.5 million in the January 1966 issue though it was different her mom was an oscar winner who had survived a serious of strokes while pregnant with Lucy and by the grace of god Lucy was born unscathed

My son has the same gorgeous long tow-headed curls. Unfortunately, at 18 months I am so tired of hearing what a beautiful girl he is that I am ready to cut it. Really, in his brown corduroys and truck sweater, people think he’s a girl. My daughter is five and just had her first hair cut, my son won’t make it until 2. Plus my family is pretty conservative and all of the older relatives give me a hard time about it – my great aunt said she ‘loved our Christmas card, but she thought we had a boy and a girl?’ lolz Time for a haircut.

Our little one will be 3 at the end of May. We have NEVER cut his “baby curls” because when you do, they don’t grow back.
Now, his bangs have been trimmed; the sides have been trimmed; but those precious baby curls haven’t been cut.

Yeah I’ve been wondering also about Hilary Duff news. More than likely the lack of news is because she is not famewhoring and milking her pregnancy like Blimpson is. I’m guessing she removed them before they got stuck. I remember I was so sad in my first pregnancy when my doctor suggested I take my wedding ring off while I could, as I didn’t want to be pregnant and not wearing a ring! LOL He asked if I would rather have to cut the ring off? I promptly took my wedding set off(; Second time around, I knew the drill… removed rings on my own, without having to be told.

I looked almost exactly like Jessica when I was having my boy, who was a 10 pounder. She has ALL my sympathy and I practically have post-traumatic stress looking at her. (It was not an easy birth.) I hope everything goes ridiculously well for her. I couldn’t really walk at that size! Enormous doesn’t even begin to describe it.
If she manages to lose the weight quickly after the birth I will NEVER believe it was because of healthy eating habits and excercise. Girl is gonna get a lipo to go with that C-section imo.
There is Blind gossip item circulating which appears to point to herin which they say that she’s going to use plastic surgery to lose all the baby weight and as a result she’s happy to eat rubbish now.

Sorry, but this is ridiculous. A reputable surgeon would NOT perform a cosmetic procedure right after you deliver a baby. In order to ‘lose all the pregnancy weight’, several procedures would be required, including liposuction (in various areas) as well as a tummy-tuck… and they would still end in a poor result (and make caring for your newborn EXTREMELY difficult). These procedures are not for ‘weight loss’, and are ideally performed on a person who has attained a healthy weight. Not only would performing any of these procedures put the new mother at a greater risk for complications (infection, bleeding, etc.), but the results would not be good. After pregnancy and delivery, the tissues and skin will tighten and tone over time (for some, they may go back to being almost ‘normal’, for others, they will be left with loose skin, etc.). Performing cosmetic procedures on skin, tissue and muscle that will be going through great changes in the coming months would not only be ‘not recommended’, but I can’t imagine any reasonably responsible doctor would agree to it.
I agree with you Belle 100%, but unfortunately there are doctors that will be willing to do it and it’s a lot more common than you think.
You are right… there are doctors out there who are willing to do almost anything. I used to work for a Plastic Surgeon, and a fair amount of his patients were those who had gone to a cracker jack doctor who charged cut-rate fees and then botched the work, and they were hoping to have it corrected. The fact still remains, that there just isn’t ‘plastic surgery’ available that will help someone ‘lose all the weight’ after having a baby.
I would hope that no one would want such a procedure as it would just be hella hard on one’s body and very open to infection. But I also wish that Jess would try to promote healthy eating (before and after) and until I see any evidence of that I have a hard time feeling sorry for her weight gain (or will believe any “natural” weight loss).
It’s like she has been pregnant forever! Poor woman…I bet that baby’s going to weight 13 pounds, her belly is huge. Unlike Beyonce’s pregnancy which seemed so short in comparison and her belly was so small.

I feel like I post this in every JS thread, but both my babies were large… the second being 10 pounds 8 ounces (yes, delivered vaginally and leaving my lady parts in shambles… okay, TMI, sory!). I was huge as well… and soooo miserable. By my 7th month, I felt like I was ready to deliver. My pubic area hurt so much I could barely lift my legs… even walking hurt. I delivered a week early, and had gained 60 pounds. I know I ate some junk, but for the most part, tried to eat healthy foods.
I don’t want to be critical of Jess because of her weight… as I’ve been there, and it’s too late for her to ‘un-do’ the weight gain that may be from eating all of the junk. Each photo I see of her though makes me cringe. She’s sort of gone beyond ‘huge’, and has several more weeks to go? Eeek!
On a side note… her hair looks lovely here!!

I have had 3 babies; all over 8 lbs, and I looked like a moose. (2 were overdue and 1 was 3 weeks early.) Babies, they don’t really care what others think.
There comes a point where you can only lower yourself down onto the sofa (chair; whatever) on the base of your spine and attempt to be comfortable.
Wonder what Cacee is doing now and how she really feels about Donald not proposing. wonder if watching Jessica get enagaged and married 2 xs now and even Ashlee having gotten married once fustrates her.

Jessica is starting to look really unhealthy. There is a huge difference between having a pregnant bloat and big ass close to your due date and being pregnant and obese because you can’t put down the cupcakes. Jessica needs to seriously stop eating like this because the ‘danger zone’ of diabetes and a c-section is probably getting really close due to her size.
I had preeclampsia, a 60lb weight gain and major water weight with my twins and I did not look this big.

I third this. I am getting really sick of people defending her when she talks about the UTTER CRAP she’s been eating. Though people will say…”she’s was just talking about cravings, she’s not eating like this every day”…yeah right. She does not look healthy. And just because she’s short does not mean she should be this big.
I ate healthy my whole pregnancy, but my military doctor was on “out rotation” so the “fill in” didn’t really care.
I gained 18 lbs from my due date to my delivery date; and lost 46 lbs from delivery to discharge.
If Jessica would quit snacking on the junk food….. Number 1 reason why she is SO huge.

Not a fan of labor induction or C-sections, but I think she might be getting to a critical point-really. Besides, a ten pound baby-she must like being pregnant.

It was reported that the baby weighed TEN POUNDS two weeks ago. I don’t usually say anything about pregnant women but she has eaten so much it is really grossing me out. That kid will look three months old when it is born. No wonder they moved the date up.

I saw her on Ellen the other day, I always forget how pretty she is, even with her baby bloat she is stunning. Personally I’ve always liked her, she’s one of the few celebrities who doesn’t give a sh*t and is herself, what you see is what you get with Jess.
Its not just extra fat though… otherwise her face would be super fat but its not. Its all belly and boobs… and some sad clothing choices.

My son was almost 12 lbs, and I had him naturally after pushing for 36 hours (sorry Kaiser)…I was MISERABLE the last month, but I didn’t gain too much and was back in shape in about 2-3 months (plus, he was my first baby)..God bless her!

Or maybe that just because they are professional colleagues doesn’t mean they have to be buddies. I get along great with my co-workers and like them quite a lot, and work closely with them (and very much enjoy it), but we’re not personal friends really, and if I had a baby shower I doubt I’d invite them. At the end of the day, they’re my co-workers and my personal life is my personal life. It seems strange to me to assume that because they are co-workers they must also be friends or they probably hate each other. Just my take on it.
Do you remember how fat Kate Hudson got w her 1st pregnancy? She gained 80 lbs. but with her second pregnancy she only gained 30, according to her. Kate Hudson made the comment that she gained so much weight with her first because she ate anything and everything she wanted (pints of haagen daas, total crap) but she was more careful with her second pregnancy. I have a theory that some stars who are always watching what they eat, eating to try to stay skinny, who have a bad relationship w food to begin with – some of these stars get pregnant and think, “woohoo! Now I have an excuse to be huge – where’s the buffet?” this is what Jessica has done, I fear, and it is going to bite her in the a$$, literally, when all the Jenny Craig or weight watchers in the world won’t be able to help her lose the weight.
If that was me and they told me that my baby was at 10lbs I’d be like get it out now. Her boobs alone must hurt like hell.
Can’t help it, but this marathon pregnancy + super “real” weight gain makes me love JSimp. It’s sweet to see a celebrity have a less than glamorous pregnancy. This is the reality for many (not all) women.

OMG.. I’m uncomfortable just watching her. I gained 16 lbs with my daughter but 35 lbs with my son and I thought it was a lot! I bet she’s terribly uncomfortable, poor thing. I hope she has an easy delivery though.
