More fashion from the White House Correspondents Dinner! We covered all of the C-listers already – Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan, notably. Now it’s time to focus on the fashion girls. Let’s start with Charlize in Emilio Pucci – I really thought this gown was Dior! Charlize was one of my favorites of the night!
Claire Danes in Vivienne Westwood. Claire was there because the President is a huge fan of Homeland, and Claire keeps winning all of these awards for her television work. And she’s just a great actress, and why wouldn’t you want to party with Claire? Anyway, I’m not crazy about her dress. It looks very bridal to me.
Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta. I’m starting to suspect that Zooey can make even the most expensive, high-fashion couture look kind of busted and hippie-dippy. I’m not crazy about this dress, basically.
Eva Longoria in Marchesa. When I was looking through the photos, my first thought was “ugh.” Now I know why: Marchesa is always UGH.
Alicia Keys in… I’m not sure. She seems underdressed, right? And that color is awful.
Kate Hudson is Jenny Packham. I absolutely love this dress, but I would have loved it more on someone else. Kate does this high-necked style a lot, and while I like that she really pulled out all the stops with her hair & makeup, her ears are distracting.

That white satin is horrible. Satin always wrinkles, and that color looks cheap.
i can’t help but wonder if Zooey’s hemline is a few inches higher than the floor. i think it should be much better, no?
meanwhile, claire danes… it’s an OK dress in and of itself, and it really fits her. but can it be positioned to look better than a bride after a leg-race?
Poor Kate. Why did no one tell her about her ears? The hair stylist for one should have gently suggested something else. She’ll be the butt of a few “handle” jokes now.
I know she has big ears, but give her a little credit for wearing her hair up and showing them.
Zooey needed to reach down and hoist that dress upwards about 4 inches. It was falling off.
It was also dragging about a foot on the floor. It was totally ill fitting.
Love Zooey, but that is the second dress in two weeks she’s been in where her boobs are around her waist. Come on girl.

Kate Hudson’s is pretty, but I agree, all I see are the ears now. Zooey’s is pretty, but she’s not pulling it off well.

Alicia’s hair looks beautiful. The dress and her date do not!
X2. Dress color is nice on her. But wrong for the event. And paired with the black pantyhose, she had the Alice in Wonderland thing going.
Charlize should really do something with her dark roots : either go back to her natural darker hair (or something near that color), either have a touch up with that blond ambition hair.
Otherwise, indeed, she looked the nicest of them all.
kate’s dress is pretty – but she has clark gable ears and they stick out too much.

Charlize is perfection, Kate is looking very slender (I don’t mind the ears…but I like when people are imperfect) and I love that derss on her! Allt the others are just meh.
Yes! I find the ears endearing. The illusion of perfection on a human being is boring and usually an indication that someone has been under the knife.
I disagree, I do not love Charlize in this dress. Her face is amazing, as always.
I thought Claire Danes was January Jones in other pictures. I was surprised when I learned it wasn’t.
What’s with Eva Longoria lately? Thought she was Katfaced Kim above. Eva was gorgeous on DH. She been looking different lately. Maybe it’s age and Botox. Boo.

Am I the only sorry soul who does not get Charlize’s appeal at all? Great actress, no doubt. Great beauty? For me she’s as plain as they come. Same thing with the other ‘beauty’ Scarlett Johansson, by the way. Two plain, plain ladies with chubby cheeks.
And the dress is meh, except for the long sleeves. I wish long sleeves were more popular on the red carpet.
Scarlett is plain, but Charlize is a great beauty. Her face is so alluring. Just see the Snow White trailers and the Dior commercial. Plain? I wish I could be that plain! One of the few beauties today who would fit in with old Hollywood stars.
love charlize’s dress – maybe a shorter version would be even hotter? everyone else – meh. zooey always somehow manages to look under-groomed or something.
Charlize is such a beautiful woman and very well put together ,Kate Hudson should not wear her hair up but she have a nice body.
All the ladies very pretty, hair & makeup wise. The dresses however are just ok to just NO. Which is good I guess. It’s not the Oscars.
At first I really liked Charlize’s dress…but the more I look at it…meh. Also, I wish she would’ve done something better with her hair and make-up. In some other pics she looks tired.

In fact, all the dresses are lovely. You just have to imagine it’s CHARLIZE wearing them. 🙂
