The album is old-2006. I like it a lot. I heard the whole Jen/John drama later after I bought the album. The first thing I thought was he's a musician! Male musicians are not exactly know as Renaissance Men, and they are as self-absorbed and "passionate" about their craft as any actor. We know Jen is self-absorbed and used to her "routine" and getting her way, so the relationship was practically doomed from the start. Who did what really doesn't matter, in a way. It was dueling egos from the beginning.. The fact that he admitted to being hurt when the relationship ended shows he is several notches in virtue over my poster child narcissist-douchebag musician, Mick Jagger. Mostly he sounds like a good man in his songs, but so it goes....love the art, dislike (or hate) the artist.
