Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are still glowing over the birth of their third child (and first son), Samuel Garner Affleck. Sam was born in late February, and since then, Jennifer has made some public outings and such, but these photos are some of the first I’ve seen of Ben and Jen together since Sam was born. During Jennifer’s pregnancy, Ben was uncharacteristically and publicly affectionate with Jen, which led some people to think that he was and is super-happy to finally “get the boy.” These photos are of Ben and Jen leaving a doctor’s office in Santa Monica yesterday – probably just a checkup for her, I’m guessing. It’s nice that Ben is still being attentive to her.
As I was looking through these photos, it struck me – is Ben wearing one of Jennifer’s sweaters? One, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Jennifer wear this particular sweater. Two, I’m pretty sure this is a woman’s sweater. And three, it does not look good on Ben, nor does it fit him. Does Ben realize he’s wearing a woman’s sweater? Unknown.
CB mentioned that she loves Ben’s new haircut and his salt-and-pepper beard. He had a big, bushy, 1970s beard while he was filming (and directing!) Argo, and it looks like he’s keeping some kind of facial hair for now, but he’s just keeping a more trimmed look. As for his haircut… I’m kind of meh on it. I prefer this to the 1970s shag he was rocking, but this isn’t my favorite.

“In different stores.” Ha, yes this is key, and clearly not something they’re currently doing. Facial hair and beard are fab, the sunglasses and sweater look like Fashion Bug. (And there’s nothing wrong with Fashion Bug, just not on him.) 🙂
Ben – good or bad hair I’d still hit and hit it hard.
Who cares about the sweater? He’s all male no matter what he wears.

Ben’s face, hair, and beard all look great and I have no problem with the sweater.
I like them as a couple, that is all.

They have 3 little kids in their house. As long as they put clothes,brush their hair and teeth and shower,they are doing good.

First of all, he’s a Boston boy in Santa Monica-he should not be wearing a sweater. Hell, out here if the temps go above 40 everyone comes out in their effin’ tank tops and short shorts.

I’m sure she just grabbed one of his sweaters when she was pregnant because it was roomy and comfy–probably where we’ve seen it before. Done it myself a few times … though not one of Ben’s, unfortunately.
I don’t think either of them cares too much about fashion day to day, just for red carpets. Which is kind of refreshing, IMO.

No problem with the sweater. Considering how I seen him dress in the past couple of months Ben looks good.
Nice-tidy with flecks of gray-Ben is okay with being older. It suits him, especially since he is going to get more gray hairs when his two girls hit their teens! Son Sam will help him maintain his sanity when those girls start dating!.
The sweater is a bit femme, but who knows-maybe it was a match to Jen’s sweater. Jeez, there is NO WAY he could fit in one of her sweaters! Except when she is preggers, she’s always thin. He may be wearing it (once or twice) to please her.
Ben is on the right track now-cut him some slack.
His ill-fitting pants are bothering more than that sweater.

They see around what is looks good family thing or couple thing and then they follow it they won’t even miss a bit. Nice PR peeps you two.
Sweaters like that next to the skin surely are not very comfortable? Itchy, scratchy, clammy, don’t breathe. Just be glad Jen is not wearing grey. That is usually her favorite color, but it drains her face and makes her look drab and frumpy. She looks really good in red and other primary colors.
I like the way his hair looks. This is a way better cut than that long mess he was sporting. The salt and pepper color is sooo sexy! I would definitely hit it!
The sweater is too small, but the collar indicates it was bought in the men’s section. Jen probably bought it for herself and it somehow got mixed up in Ben’s closet.
I love Jen because she is laid back and unpretentious when she goes out in public, but even I’ll admit she could put a little more effort into her wardrobe choices. I’d love to be her personal shopper. With a few, simple changes she would still be comfortable but look more pulled together.
That sweater looks like it shrank in the wash, but he still looks hot. She looks great for having just given birth a few weeks ago. I like the salt and pepper, and I’m glad to see the shaggy hair go. It was too close to a Bieber cut for comfort
Jen is papped so much that if she dressed up people would be suspicious of it being a staged photo op.
I just know he’s great in bed.
They just look like regular people to me. It’s refreshing that neither of them feels the need to put on show when they’re just living their lives (even tho they know the media is watching).

He looks miserable and like he is trying his best to somehow avoid it but he can’t stand her.
She shouldn’t have forced fatherhood on him, especially since she knew he would not leave the mother of his children given his own childhood issues. He even talked about it in interviews, so to exploit such a thing is really mean and selfish.
Hanging on to someone who doesn’t love you and doesn’t want to be with you, and using children as chains is just wrong.
Maybe you are looking at different pictures than I am, but he looks pretty happy to me. Miserable people don’t smile. And obviously they hate each other so much that they decided to have a third child. J LO fan perhaps?
We’re so used to “celebs” posing and being primped (as if it’s their wedding day) for pap photos it looks strange to see normal famous people doing normal things wearing normal clothes. I can’t image what it would be like to have paps taking photos of me coming out of the doctor’s/supermarket/shops etc. They don’t look thrilled about it…maybe that’s where the tension is.

If it makes him feel better, more power to him. Better than a bad rug, and he does look good. In fact, props to him for going through pain and expense to make himself pretty for us. May it extend to his clothes next time he’s papped. 😉
I love the sweater: FOR ME (or Jen). I am also quietly thanking God that I got my grandfather’s very late gray list. I feel so old when I see my age mates with all this salt and pepper.
Then I remember I don’t have to dye my hair unless I want to and do the unemployed girl happy dance. Imagine having to do upkeep on no $$$!
Agreed, I love Jen, but her casual clothing choices are always schleppy for some reason. She’s very pretty, but she could lose a bit of weight and tone up after those babies. As for Ben’s haircut, it’s okay, but not great. He seems to wear the beard well.

It’s kind of funny that this is the same guy who came thisclose to marrying Jennifer Lopez! The first super couple with a conjoined tag of, “Bennifer”. Can you imagine what would have happened to Ben if he had gone through with the wedding to Lopez? **shudder**
Ben would look hot in baby doll PJ’s. He looks a million times better than Brad Pitt. Both men are completely pvssy-whi pped but Ben has weathered it better than Brad.
Love the haircut, hate the sweater. Judging by the length, it is a womans sweater.
