You know what’s weird? I saw Hilary Swank’s hair at the Met Gala here and I assumed she had very short hair and was wearing a full head of extensions. Then I looked at photos of her from the past couple of years, and realized she’s had long hair for quite a while. That’s how much I normally pay attention to her, sorry to say. Her hair is confusing me here, because her curls look like a different, lighter shade than the crown of her hair. She’s surely got some extensions in there, but I’m assuming that most of this hair is hers. It just looks fake to me and like a wig. Plus she could do with a little more makeup. She’s very pretty, and it looks like she’s wearing casual daytime makeup, not like she’s styled for a big event.
Hilary was in a scarlet red Michael Kors sleeveless floor-length gown that just looked incredible on her. I love the full yet formfitting skirt and the belt-like fit of the empire waist. It’s just a gorgeous dress overall and it flatters her so much. Some may call it boring, but I think it’s classic and elegant. It’s one of my favorite looks of the night.
Hilary posed with the designer, and you could tell they were both thrilled with her look. I love her vintage Fred Leighton drop earrings. They’re just perfect for this dress.

The dress looks like it is trying to stangle her – not a good look. And her hair? Get a haircut.
Wow, I thought this one was terrible. Her hair was especially bad, but I thought the dress looked pretty fussy for what it was. Just a labored look all around.
It wasn’t really terrible, but it looked very boring on Hilary. The face and hair were missing something… Feels like she would have the same hair and make-up if she was out for lunch.
This dress simply on Hilary Swank was not Va-va-voom. It probably would have looked stunning on someone else.
I’ve never found Hilary very pretty. Nothing against her personally, she’s just not visually my cup of tea.

ITA. It looks like a wedding dress but in red. Too simple, too boring. The hair makes her look even manlier than usual.
The whole look makes is seems like she’s trying way too hard. There is something sooo wrong about the hairstyle, and the dress appears to be eating her alive …
And WHY is she even still relevant? She makes one movie every 5-7 years, gets awards nominations, then disappears again. I wish she’d just stay away, ughhh.

Hilary has a wonderful body, but again..she is an example someone with a great body but no sex appeal. The makeup is not dramatic enough. She should have played up on of her facial features.. eye, mouth or something. The makeup up looks undone and too bland.
I could name lots of women like that too.. average looks, good body.. no sex appeal. They just don’t know how do work it..
I completely agree–she’s got an AMAZING body, but she just isn’t sexy at all. I also think she’s grossly overrated as an actress. I could not stand her in Million Dollar Baby. Ugh…
I think a sleek and simple ponytail would’ve looked WAY better with the high neck of this dress. Also smaller earrings and instead some chunky bracelets.

Beautiful dress and Hilary has a beautiful body. Just do not like the hair. I think if you were arrested, most show the beauty of the dress. And Hilary is so sexy, very sexy. Everything about it looks good.
So, so boring. The Met is the biggest fashion event of the year, and she has worn some interesting and fashion-forward dresses in the past. Why go with a dress that’s been done in one way or another a million times in the last 10 years?
