I think she's a competent actor who will get better with time - really, she has exhibited flashes of brilliance in some of her "lesser" roles. She's socially awkward and makes no excuses for it. It's who she is and she doesn't want to change it for fear it will change HER. She will grow and mature and some of that awkwardness will naturally fall by the wayside. But for now, it is who she is.
