The 2012 edition of Maxim’s “Hot 100” list has been revealed by the men’s magazine, but this year is a bit different because readers were actually allowed to participate within the election. The very top spot on the list has been secured by none other than Bar Refaeli, and I actually agree with this selection. Bar is gorgeous and has a very well-proportioned body that just doesn’t quit. She also seems to have an adventurous spirit and (for a supermodel) a relatively quick wit as well. In a (well-rehearsed?) display of humility, Bar has spoken out on her surprise at being named in the #1 spot by Maxim’s readers. Surely, she can’t be surprised at being called utterly gorgeous on a near daily basis, right?
The supermodel (and Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend) tops Maxim’s Hot 100 list this year – and it’s not hard to see why.
Refaeli tells the magazine in its issue, on stands May 29, that she was “shocked that among all these beautiful ladies, I’m number one.” Meanwhile, Maxim’s editors say the Israeli beauty “puts the ‘promise’ in the Promised Land.”
Refaeli has made the list before – landing in last year’s top 10, in fact.
Other beauties included in the new issue include Blake Lively; Charlize Theron; Rihanna; and Amanda Knox.

The rest of the list is, well, interesting because for some reason, Stephen Colbert shows up at #69. Amanda Knox also sneaks in towards the end of the list as well. Agree. I don’t think Bar should be no. 1 but it’s not so bad, she’s cute enough and she has a great body so it could be worse. But Olivia Munn at no. 2? Seriously, who the hell did she f*ck?
Actually, this list is all still PR and publicists, even if they say they’ve thrown in some reader participation. How can Pippa, Wozniacki, JWow, and Bynes be on it, but no Irina?

As much as I agree that she’s no supermodel (neither is any of those Victoria’s Secret models, for that matter — but people keep calling them that) and that’s because her posing skills aren’t great, I’d like to say that if supermodels actually looked like Refaeli (body-wise) there wouldn’t be so many teenage girls with eating disorders out there.
She’s slim but with great curves and an overall healthy appearance. I REALLY can’t say that about the so called high fashion models — the ones that could be described as “supermodels”.
P.S.: I have seen people here on Celebitchy calling her legs “stumpy”. Yes, she doesn’t have Gisele Bündchen’s super long legs, but hers are beautiful and toned too — just different than Bündchen’s.

Fame hungry to the max, leeching off old men for money (Tedi Sagai bought her a car), obsessed with Gisele (word was she got an ear-ring in her upper lobe because of her) and living her ambitious mother’s showbiz dreams.
Her relationship with Leo was a joke. It was well known in the night club scene how he cheated on her flagrantly. Even Perez Hilton who sucks all celeb snatch wrote a blind on his womanising as did lainey. She knew but refused to dump him because she needed him for fame. Leo knew and of course did not respect her for it.
I’m always baffled as to how Justin Trousersnake gets called out for his cheating and womanizing even in tabloid print but Leo is protected when he’s 10 times worse.

Men and women have differents ideas of how a hot woman should be. I’ve talked many times with boyfriend,for example he admits Gisele is beautiful, but doesn’t have a feminine body, Bar instead is less stunning but has (in his opinion) a better body, more curvy. To me she is meh.

I think Bar is extremely beautiful. The kind of person that has such a natural beauty that can be boring or not strikingly beautiful (+ her body is curvy and healthy!.
