It captures the crazed over-indulgent nature of Gatsby but certain scenes also show the underlying current of ennui and sadness. I think Baz is the only one who could make this movie and make it right, and Leo definitely fits as Gatsby. Not so sure about Mulligan as Daisy but only watching the whole movie will tell whether she pulls it off. Love that shirt scene, and the party scenes are very reminiscent of Moulin Rouge - Baz sure knows how to film a crazy party! Definitely going to see this movie opening week.
