Jennifer Garner made SNL scrap Guy Ritchie skit when Affleck was on

Jennifer Garner is one of my favorite celebrities, but I try not to publish all the photos that come out of her because she just looks harassed, especially in this last stage of her pregnancy. Yesterday the news came out that she’s being stalked by an obsessed mentally ill guy who has been trying to contact her since 2002. It sounds like she not only has to worry about all the paparazzi trailing her every day, she also has this crazy guy to be concerned about. That could easily explain why she’s looking so troubled.

There are some cute stories about Garner in the tabloids that are about to become puppy training paper that I didn’t want to pass up. They mainly focus on compromises that Affleck and Garner have made for each other.

Garner made SNL trash Guy Ritchie skit because it was “insensitive”
According to Mike Walker in the Enquirer, Jennifer Garner was on set while her husband Ben was rehearsing for his Saturday Night Live gig. She saw a skit he was working on in which Guy Ritchie was “whooping it up post-bustup with horning hotties decades younger than dear old Madge!” They decided not to run the skit at the last minute, though, because Garner didn’t agree with it and thought it was “insensitive.” She is said to have noted that the couple has children and that it’s not nice to make fun of a failed marriage. Affleck didn’t agree with her, but “killed the skit to keep the peace.”

Garner helps decorate poker room for Affleck in new mansion
Garner may get her way on some issues concerning her husband’s career, but she’s willing to compromise when it comes to his favorite hobbies. Also in The Enquirer is a story that she’s helping convert a spare room in their new Brentwood mansion into “a plush gaming den” for her poker-loving hubby. The room was even her idea.

“When it’s done, Ben’s poker room is expected to look just like a private high-roller suite at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, which is where he likes to play,” a close friend told The Enquirer.

At first, 36-year-old Jen disapproved of her husband’s poker habit, and he cut back on his Vegas junkets. But last year he reportedly spent up to four nights a week playing the game online, and dropped up to $20,000 a night!

“Jen wanted Ben to cut out playing poker completely, but she knew that wasn’t realistic,” said the source. “So she decided to build a room at home where Ben could have the boys over once a week.”

The couple that compromises for each other stays together. If only Madonna would have realized that, maybe Guy would still be around, drinking milk with his tea and enjoying a nice steak once in a while.

Sorry, didn’t recognize her without Ben Affleck’s next career-ruining spawn festering in her womb.

    Killjoy. 🙁

Since when are wives of SNL hosts allowed to call the shots? I like her and all, but come on.

vdantev – I recommend buying Tinselworm or searching youtube to see exactly what the master of comedy known as Bill Bailey has to say on Affleck… he’s not wrong you know 😛

Actually, although I’d have probably laughed at the skit, I still think “well done her” for having good grace and a backbone. I agree, I think she’s more likeable by the second – and has one of the most adorable children in the world

  9. Cinderella says:

It would be insensitive if were about anyone other than Madonna.

  10. Ling says:

I don’t think they would have scrapped it if they didn’t agree with what she was saying. The sketch doesn’t sound funny at all, even by SNL standards, not because it’s risqué but because it’s already a tired joke.

vdantev- aww, if only your comments were as witty as you think they are.

@Gelloo I’d need a lobotomy to care about your opinions.

I think people think she’s one of the most “boring” celebs out there, when I find her to be one of the most normal. You never see Violet out with a nanny. Either with her or Ben, unlike a lot of celebs. And Violet always looks happy. I was a huge fan of hers on Alias.

  14. MB Travis says:

Way to “keep your man,” Garner. You truly deserve praise, because nabbing a husband and having children is the most significant thing a women can achieve.

  15. Bros says:

i have to agree she is like cold oatmeal. just one big mmmmmeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh when i see her.

  16. Kristin says:

LOL Because you know exactly why Madonna and Guy split.

  17. dovesgate says:

Good for her. Celebrities exhibiting grace and decorum are few and far between and I think they should be applauded when they do.
