Richard is honest and out and proud. Which is why I think Clay should come out already. It would label him as an honest, secure human, like Richard Simmons, instead of a paranoid false front. It makes other people far more uncomfortable not coming out than it does to just admit it. Not that many people care about gayness anymore. The world is realizing that gays don't have cooties. Being gay and paranoid about it makes everybody uncomfortable. Except Clay stays in the closet so you’re not allowed any innuendo in his presence, which is uncomfortable.
