There are smart, sophisticated, well-mannered people in every single country I've visited, just as there are assholes and ignorant fools. I don't think it's particularly smart, sophisticated, or well-mannered to make gross generalizations about millions of human beings, wherever they live. I also think it's easy to disparage talk of work and money when one never has to worry about either. Most of us spend 40+ hours a week working and must think about money regularly because it is a limited resource we need to survive. Gwyneth has no such worries and apparently spends her time judging others who are not as privileged as she has been. "I am African," indeed.
