I just think that it comes down to the fact that alot of males don't take into consideration to be honest enough with themselves when they're with a woman and don't want to let her go because they don't feel they'll do any better as far as finding that "forever" partner, so they give her what she wants, simulate a monagamous relationship but aren't really putting in the effort of truly being together. I think if more males were TRULY honest with themselves and actually carried it out, there may be less of this treating their partners crappy the way they do...
