Last week, during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, I carefully noted “Duchess Kate and Prince Harry seem especially close. Just sayin’.” Many of you agreed with me, some of you thought I was a horrible monster for even suggesting that Kate and Harry had a friendly, flirtatious and somewhat adorable relationship that may or may not end up in ginger babies. I will say this – I wasn’t the only one who noticed. LOTS of people noticed how giggly and flirty Harry and Kate were together. Even Prince William noticed. And In Touch Weekly claims he was royally pissed (“pissed” in the American vernacular, meaning “angry” – not in the British vernacular, meaning “drunk”).
On June 5, following the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration, Prince William reprimanded his wife for what he thought was “painfully embarrassing” inappropriate behavior between Kate and Harry!
Harry and Kate were particularly cozy during the royal balcony appearance, while William stood formal and rigid in contrast.
“Having Harry there, whome she adores, relaxes her, because he makes jokes as a way to get through the day. She gets the giggles and forgets the world is watching her,” an insider tells Star. “But William told Kate is was flirting and that it wasn’t appropriate.”
Kate didn’t take his complaints sitting down, insisting that he was being “incredibly unfair” – which caused a blowup. “In Kate’s mind, for William to suggest that was was absurb… in the past, Kate would have agreed with William and apologized, but instead she fired right back at him and that took him by surprise.”
Insiders say that Kate’s affections for her brother-in-law are strictly platonic and she was absolutely not flirting with Harry – she was just talking to him as her friend.
Back in May, during a polo match, something similar happened too: “Harry was complaining about how hung over he was, and Kate was saying, ‘Oh you poor darling!’ and making a fuss over him. They were huddling together, whispering, just like they did at the Jubilee.”
Meanwhile, William is at a loss at to why Kate and Harry find life in the spotlight so daunting.
“William has been trained to be King his whole life, so he can’t relate to their feelings. Wills always wanted Kate to be more confident at these big royal events. But now she’s so relaxed that she isn’t mindful of how William views her behavior.”

Obvious, the whole “Harry + Waity = Ginger Babies” thing is a lot of fun, and people have very strong opinions about it. I tend to think Kate has come too far, and Waity-ed for so long, she’s not going to mess up her gig by boning the Hot Ginger Prince. Maybe she’s tempted, or maybe she just likes to “mother” Harry, which is another dynamic I could see playing out.
Now, do you think William would really be angry with Kate (and Harry, to a lesser degree) because of this? Eh. Sometimes I think William is humorless and dull like his father, but I tend to think that he’s fine with Kate spending time with Harry. I don’t know though… it will be interesting to see if Kate and Harry continue being so flirty and cute together publicly.

Waity doesn’t stop laughing, giggling & fidgeting with her hair. She does it during the most inappropriate moments. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s in constant tickings off which explains her nerves whenever she’s talking & being recorded. I thought she would turn out better. She definitely doesn’t seem to notice the world is watching. They are barely seen publically for any length of time, how hard can it be to act properly?
And nobody can blame “media spin” when the photographs and footage is there for all to see. Even my elderly neighbour who’s completely unobservant, had nothing but negative to say about Kate after the jubilee. She’s an embarrassment.

Jack is simply pointing out the obvious–that Middleton is dull, slightly vapid, and a general disappointment if you compare her to Diana’s natural charisma. One either has it or not. I agree, and I think it’s William’s call to make.
He can pay more attention to his wife in public to silence all these innuendos and rumours and to actually sell the PR-fueled ‘fairy tale’ love story that the Palace has been trying to get the public to believe.
The stiffer he acts around his wife, the stronger these talks about Kate and Harry being very close will become.
I don’t like the way this issue is going, mainly because of the way Harry is being caught in the middle. He just can’t catch a break. If these stories start to gain more ground, I have no doubt that there would be some sects in the media that would be quick to point to Harry as the one to blame. I think the boy has had enough to deal with when it comes to constant criticisms from the media, and much of it is unwarranted nowadays.
Now you have some people calling Harry an attention-whore and that he got it from his Mum. Hello? Harry is a happy, charming person. This is the way he is, he is friendly with everyone.
But thanks to these rumors, he’d probably keep his distance, and it will not benefit Kate to not have Harry by her side. He and Camilla seem to be her only friends/allies in the Windsor clan. Everyone else doesn’t seem to care about her.
If William and Kate want to “modernize” the monarchy, they can start by being openly affectionate. The other European royal couples are not afraid to display their love for their spouses, and none of the PDA is harming their images. Royals don’t have to be stiff and dull all the time.

@Bluhare – that’s what i thought too initially mainly because i was looking at photos.
Then i caught a news item where he touch/prodded her in that exact spot and she moved towards where ever he wanted her to go. He did it again, she changed direction. he did it a third time and she did it again.
Ever since then, every time i see video, i notice that whenever he touches/prods her, she moves either forward, left, right or what ever direction he wants her to move. like a toy.
It is never a spontaneous touch, and she doesn’t move around spontaneously until he touches/prods her to change direction or to move forward etc
i like to think that as a 30yr old woman, she knows where she is supposed to be going or has the sense to figure it out or has been prepared in advance so she knows what is what.

Imo… It seems as if the Middleton sisters were trained to flirt with well-to-do men and ignore the rest. I think this is one reason why she won’t change her behavior in public towards men like Harry. Another thing the media is so misleading and selective. They ignore the great pictures of kate and william. There is one recent pic of William, the Queen and Kate on the balcony in Nottingham, the queen is in the middle and Kate and William are exchanging glances. That was my thought during Jubilee Concert. William didn’t seem to have any fun while Harry was singing along to Tom Jones and Katie was dancing along to some of the music and when Sir Paul came on even the sour faced Princess Anne was getting down.

Yes, I know this story is BS. Why would Kate jeopardize everything (the only thing) she worked so hard for the last ten years. But is it possible that she is just trying to get Willy to notice her more at public appearances? His aloofness last week was so painfully obvious.

Life as a royal looks to be rather stuffy at times. If Harry and Kate can find a moment to be themselves, and have a few laughs, good for them. I’m glad that they get along.
