I felt the same way about Scott Weiland! I thought I was on “Candid Camera!” I looked around my living room and I was thinking…”is this a joke!” He’s not even sober! Who ask this fool to introduce a song about being Sober!!!!And I don’t know how Ri Ri won over Mary J. Blige! I wanted to fly to LA and re-count those votes for myself!

The Alicia Keys performance was great. I liked the look of awe on Queen L’s face when Kathleen Battle was doing her thing!
I’d never heard Queen Latifah rap before. Going to hunt down her rap albums tomorrow!

Kanye should never, ever speak…I think he should stick to making good music…lets face it, he is annoying when he talks but I love his music
I like Leona, but sometimes her vocals can get a bit OTT and annoying.
I was surprised that Xtina sang so badly!
Rihanna, great to look at but awful to listen to!
Mariah’s vocals were really good! But she looked kinda crazy

Pink rocks, loved Kanya’s song, Taylor Swift is great, and, of course, all hail The Queen. I still have a few more to check out, but those are my faves.

Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift- yep whatever microscopic shred of credibility the AMA used to have just evaporated in a soft non-threatening, parents-approved level of spunky pubescent flash. Where have all the real musical artists gone to?

id never seen/heard the jonas brothers before. i knew who they were but not their stuff. WOW they looked SO awkward!!!!

Beyonce was same ol, same ol. Once you’ve seen one of her booty shakin performances you’ve seen them all.
Rihanna’s vocal performance on Rehab was outstanding. Best vocal performance yet.
Mariah needs to go somewhere and retire. I’m sick of her lipsyncing and I’m sick of her standing there lookin like a mannequin whenever she performs.
Christina even with all the dancers, fireworks etc., still boring and lousy vocal performances.

im tired of people saying Mariah Carey lipsyncs..just becuz she has an amazing voice live doesnt mean she lipsyncs. people are ridiculous. no one was lipsyncing at the ama’s .. get over yourselves

it seems that mariah’s performance was too good to be true so, they thought of it as lip-synced. but i think it should be taken positively because if you consider it, it serves like compliments on mariah’s part. let me explain, it’s as if they were saying that they just can’t accept the fact that she really did a flawless performance. and to inform you, do you know that it’s harder to lip-sync than to sing live? i mean, you might get caught for not doing it carefully. and it’s so hard to mouth all the ad-lib parts done by her. it’s just impossible. her lip-syncing is just too good to be true.
