His breakup with Kate Moss was not official when he hooked up with Vanessa who had a boyfriend she was living with. The man does not have a good track record. Personally, this story sounds fake, fake, fake. Johnny Depp, to me, always struck me as a very private person and would not be blabbing to the press, especially like this. Also, I find it hard to believe that ANY publicist worth their salt would publish such a statement, as judging from all the nasty comments to this article, it doesn't make Johnny Depp look good at all. In fact, it makes Vanessa look really good in comparison. Don't misunderstand me - I don't think he's a saint or anything but I do know that the paparazzi love to make up shit and find something when there is nothing. I think people are getting WAY too emotional when we really don't know all the facts. I do think he has a substance abuse problem. I mean, he does hang out with Marilyn Manson, and as much as I love Manson, he is heavy into the drugs. It could have contributed to the breakup but not necessarily, as for all we know she could be into the drugs as well. People always assume it's one and not the other. As a former drug abuser myself, many times it's both people in the relationship, not just one, especially one that lasted 17 years. I also want to state that pretty much everyone in Hollywood has a substance abuse problem as well, not just the rocker-looking ones. Anyways, that's all I have to say.
