I really hope this is the last leg of the promotional tour for The Amazing Spider-Man. I think Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield hope it is too. All last week, Emma and Andrew were touring Europe with photo calls and premiere – the week before they had been in Asia. So… they’re probably pretty sick of it by now. I know Emma’s stylist must be sick of it by now, because they’re running out of clothes.
So… these are photos from hopefully the last stop in Europe – Rome, Italy. Emma wore white Jason Wu for the day-time photo call, and then black Bottega Veneta for the premiere. The photo call pics are all the evidence I need for “Why Emma Should Not Be A Blonde”. Who does she look like? I can’t even put my finger on it. There’s some Naomi Watts in there. A little bit like Jennifer Aniston too. Basically, she looks kind of bland and like every other blonde-ish actress. GO BACK TO GINGER.
As for the Bottega Veneta… I like the dress. I think it’s flattering and pretty and well-made. And I think the styling makes her look like Elizabeth Banks. Right? I could totally see Elizabeth Banks in this whole look, down to the hair and makeup. Oh, well.
PS… What is Emma’s obsession with peplums/dust ruffles/biscuit flounces? She has A Peplum Problem.

She looks like some mix of Michelle Williams and young Sharon Stone. I prefer her with red hair. Blond makes her washed out.

That could be a compliment, except Stone is supposed to look completely different from Evan and being undistinguishable from another young actress in NOT a good thing in HW. But anywoo…

Why dies the body language between AG and ES look so strange? I’m one of those people who buys that they are a real couple, so this pic seem ultra…stiff/odd. Is it simply that they don’t fall over each other in public?

Anyone else hear the rumors that Lindsay is PISSED that Emma Stone has ‘stolen’ all Lindsay’s roles in the past few years?
It was a funny coincidence, that Linds disappeared into a crack-house at the same time Emma’s career started escalating. THIS is what LL could be doing, but she chooses drugs and passing the blame for her life on everything else.
Is it wrong that I HOPE LL is annoyed by Emma’s (seeming) head-on-straight success?

ITA about Emma, and part of her likability is that she seems to be working very hard, and taking her career very seriously.
Lohan seemed to take her first paycheck to the liquor store. Every check was just an excuse to party. She didn’t realize maintaining her career would require WORK. She believed her own hype. All 6 months of it.

Kaiser, maybe you can spearhead a 12 step program for peplum problems. Emma could definitely benefit, as well as Waity Katie. Cute once or twice, but after that, knock it OFF.
Neither dress is either a disaster nor a standout. The Bottega Veneta, I’d rock in a heartbeat. However, I’m 40, and that dress is wayyyy too matronly for Emma. Not a fail on either one, though.

She doesn’t have red hair naturally. Emma Stone has said it herself many of times on interviews that she is a NATURAL blonde, even her childhood pictures show her with blonde hair…so.. she’s not a natural redhead.

I like Emma, but the whole relationship with Andrew Garfield is starting to get a bit ridiculous. Some of the photos are just so obviously staged. I’m specifically talking about the multiple photos of them holding hands and kissing while walking around New York. Yes, sometimes the paps get lucky and get those types of photos. However, the frequency of those photos is what makes me give it a side-eye.
The most obvious one to me was when she and Andrew were getting out of a taxi across from central park. When I saw that particular photo in some magazine, I think it was People, it kind of clicked that she or Andrew must be calling the paps. I understand how the paps get photos of celebs getting out of taxis and cars at airports because some paps literally just stay at the airport all day. I also understand how some paps get photos of celebs getting out of cars at restaurants or their own homes because of reservations, knowing where a celeb lives, or creepily following them home from an airport or random event. However, that was definitely not the case in that particular situation.
I don’t know. I still like Emma Stone a lot, but the girl is getting papped more than Brangelina. A celeb being papped at a restaurant, store, gym, concert, their house, the airport makes sense..even the occasional random photo of them on the street. But a ton of photos of them on the street, in New York of all places? I also wish she would gain back the weight and dye her hair red again. It looks to me like she’s easily lost ten to twenty pounds from when she filmed Easy A and Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Really? She was tiny in Easy A. She definitely hasn’t lost 20 pounds since then. Watch the movie again. She’s got small boobs, skinny legs, and a flat tummy.
I think she looks better with red hair, but her hair looks great in that pic of her in white.

The reason they get photographed a lot is that the paparazzi figured out where she and Andrew live in New York. One photographer basically set up camp in front of the apartment building for a month and took pictures whenever one or both of them went out. Then after a month, the pap got bored and moved in. This is according to Emma in her interview with The New Yorker.
They do get photographed a lot, but there are also tons of sightings of them in other places by people on twitter. Some fans even take incognito shots.
That’s why I think this relationship isn’t for PR purposes.

They do look stiff in that picture but they’ve gotten some cute pictures / candids that seem much more relaxed. I love these two together. I hope it’s not for PR because they both seem above that. Anyways, emma looks great but I do miss her red hair… Also, that dress reminds me of McQueen

Emma Stone is totally great in every way. If you haven’t seen her on a talk show or seen a film, you should. She’s got it all…smart, mature, young, talented, chic and tasteful, all in one. How many young women have their wits about them and are this mature? Very few. I applaud her for her talent and wisdom !
