If he is, then of COURSE she left abruptly with their kid and some money. That's what it looks like when abused women leave. Women who are just being bitches don't leave under cover of darkness while the man is asleep...taking nothing but the baby, the clothes on their backs, and some money. I hope she's still clean. If not...I hope he gets that kid away from her and she only gets supervised visitation. That said, I don't think this is about drugs. Abusive men will do ANYthing to retain control over the wife--including the use of the media to project a "poor me" message. He knows that everyone is familiar with her past drug use and will immediately jump to that conclusion and side with him. What better way to make sure no one believes her or helps her get out than to make such a "feel sorry for me.../sniff...I miss my kid" video.
