Jessica Simpson just tweeted this photo of herself, Eric Johnson and baby Maxwell on the 4th of July. The photo looks so perfect, my first thought was “Wow, is that the ‘fireworks’ backdrop at a professional photo studio?” But I think it’s for real. Somebody just managed to take a beautiful photo of the Simpson-Johnson family. My thoughts, in no particular order:
*I like that Eric is holding the baby! I hope he turns out to be a great, low-key dad. My body language analysis of this photo – and previous photos of the couple – is that he actually does adore Jessica and he’s happy with his new family.
*Jessica is so pretty without makeup. She doesn’t need to wear a stitch of it and she’s still radiant.
*Little Maxwell is a big baby! I love that Maxi is really looking more and more gingery and brunette as opposed to blonde. I have no doubt that when the baby gets a little bigger, her mom will be putting Sun-In in her hair, trying to make it blonder.
*Little Maxwell looks like her dad, right? Like, I can barely see any of Jessica in there. It’s all Eric at this point.
Us Weekly has some nice quotes from “sources” close to the family – probably Papa Joe, but whatever. The quotes are nice. A source says, “Eric loves holding Maxwell — that is, when he can manage to get her away from Jessica… Everyone is marveling at what a natural Jessica is. She was born to be a mom.”
Last thing – there were rumors earlier this week that Jessica was going to launch a “bridal collection” to her very successful fashion line, but E! News says that rumor is false. I do think she’s going to go ahead with a full-blown maternity line, though.

She does, but she does have make up on, here. A lot of foundation, bronzer on the cheeks and just a swipe of mascara. Which is minimal make up, but still make up.
And she looks good!
Also, love the look on Maxi’s face: “What da…?! Keep it quiet! Shhhesh.” Lol, the first fireworks are the best!

It’s not hard to find cute maternity clothes! Pea in the Pod, Motherhood, etc. have great clothes! if Pea in the Pod is too $$$ try Ebay or resale shops. I had a couple of expensive suits that I only wore once or twice that ended up at a resale shop. Somebody got a good deal. There are TONS of cute maternity clothes out there.

Aw she looks really happy you guys! Maxi may have Jess’ eyes but that about it, she her Daddy’s mini-me. I will die if Jessica ends up with some super smart athletic children because of this man.

Baby hair has almost no relevance as to what the child’s hair will look like when she ages…
My best friend is dark skinned, dark eyed, and dark haired (she’s African-American)… her husband is blonde, blue eyed (Danish)… Their daughter came out dark like her mother and was like that for the first 4-6 months. As she became a toddler her pigmentation has actually lightened dramatically. Her dark hair grew out blond and straight and her eyes have lightened to blue! My friend can’t believe she’s got a totally white-looking mixed race baby. Both ways she’s cute as a peach!

I personally was born with blonde curly hair and it changed to straight and brunette.

My friend who is Indian has two boys who take after their blond, blue-eyed daddy 100%. She has several times been asked about her charges at the playground (i.e. mistaken for the nanny!) Genetics can be just a mystery.

you guys have to realize there wasn’t always photoshop.some people stay the hair color they were born with outside of dying it for work until they’re in their 40′s or 50′s but you never know with genetics. Baby Maxwell looks like Jessica in the symetry of her face and her coloring just like Claire Newman does her mom and Claire doesn’t dye her hair brown like her older sister Melissa does [IMG]http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr294/rachelspinkbfly/142342464-3.jpg[/IMG]the only difference between mother & daughter other than a 35 year age difference is Claire has ice blue eyes like her older sisters and their father did/do while her mother has pale emerald green ones

Just so everyone knows this is a genuine pic, no photoshop at all & taken in Malibu at a party they had for the 4th of July with some of there closest friends.
Very nice that no image manipulation by paps or tabloids was taking place for drama & trashing for there stories.
Amazing when a natural picture can be taken verses angles & poor phtography takes place. I suspect this is Jess rebuttle to the crap thats out there.

When you talk porny & sloppy I suspect that would mean your on 24/7 looking fabulous & being followed for your every move especially after a heavy sweat at a gym. I know I just jump right at it. lol WE tend to forget many of these people are actually human. Sure Celebrity but still human. The problem is when Jessica looks good or fabulous it doesn’t bring the same attention. The tabloids don’t get the sales or attention but get Jessica on a bad day so the haters & trashers come out. Well you know whatch the hits this article gets verses the ones done last week & see why tabloids & gossip blogs print what they do about Jessica.. there money is in trash talk & hits to there sites.

And there’s a lot of money in selling your baby photos and other PR stories to the tabloids too. If Jessica can make money off of it then she really shouldn’t complain (or send her grammatically challenged “friend”) out to complain on a blog because we aren’t fawning over her.

Nice pic. I am surprised the baby looks so relaxed. The fireworks we watched were about twice as far away as those, but still quite loud, and my dogs were still a little skittish.

That baby is super long! I gotta admit I don’t think she is cute. But I suspect she will be really pretty when she gets older. She just has a really squishy baby face.
Jessica looks amazing dressed down. I wish I looked like that with little or no makeup. Maybe maxwell will have beautiful highlights like my daughter. It looks like I took her to get blonde highlights in the summer but it’s natural!

Jess looks great with min amount of make up — I think she does have some on here though, like someone said earlier – foundation / bronzer ( not thick like some but a little ) mascara but thats it and she looks great.
We all have seen her without any though and she still looks good, she is one of the few people tan or pale that can look good without makeup or with a light coating and I prefer her with minimal amount.
Her hair has always looks gorgeous, be is very light blonde, dark, with roots, without, whatever.
They all look beautiful and happy.

That is a boobie baby. That’s why she is so big. My son (7 months) is 21 lbs and very long (I will find out next week) and has been exclusively breastfed. Hell, he wears a 12-18mo onesie. My ped said that breastfed babies are “little butterballs” compared to formula babies but it comes off when they start crawling and walking. She is a cutie and Jess looks so pretty.
