It’s baby time! I’ve been expecting this for a while – all of the knocked up celebrity women are going to be giving birth, all within a few days/weeks of each other. Over the weekend, it was Sienna Miller and now Kourtney Kardashian. You should keep your eye on Drew Barrymore too – I suspect she’ll be giving birth shortly. Anyway, Kourtney and Scott Disick welcomed their second child together on Sunday, according to E! News. It was a little girl, and they named her Penelope Scotland Disick. Hm.
Look out, world: there’s an adorable new Kardashian to keep up with now! Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have welcomed their second child—and first daughter—E! News has exclusively learned.
The baby girl was born early Sunday in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and joins big brother Mason in the ever-expanding Kardashian-Disick household. So how did the birth go down? And, most importantly, what’s the cutie pie’s name?
Let’s say hello to Penelope Scotland Disick.
“Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives. We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably,” Kourtney tells E! News.
The 33-year-old E! star had an all-natural birth, and her new mini-me tipped the scales at 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
“It was a great. She had an easy delivery,” matriarch Kris Jenner tells us. “[Penelope] is so cute. She looks just like Mason. She’s so beautiful. We are so happy.”
As it happens, this has been one highly anticipated birth (complete with a headline-grabbing false alarm), and not just among the fans. Kourtney and Scott announced the news of the impending stork delivery last November, and revealed that they were expecting their first daughter in February of this year (son Mason turned the big 0-2 in December).
In May, the family—along with Kim Kardashian’s beau, Kanye West—celebrated the baby-to-be with a femme-fueled, pink-themed baby shower. As for the million-dollar question: as Mason’s birth was must-see TV, are the proud new parents going to once again share with fans the miracle of life?
“I don’t know,” Kourtney said on the Tonight Show a few weeks ago. “We’re gonna film it again ourselves, and honestly, my experience last time was so peaceful and calm and everything you don’t see in the movies. And I really wanted to share that with people so they knew it doesn’t have to be a crazy screaming session.”
This time around, we’ll have to wait and see. While Kourtney said she and Scott planned on filming the birth, they would decide after the fact if they were going to go public with the footage. And something tells us that’s not their biggest priority at the moment.
Well, congrats. I don’t hate the name Penelope at all. As for “Scotland” – eh. It’s just a middle name, and I guess it was just to have “Scott” somewhere in there. Penelope Disick? Penny Disick? That’s kind of cute. My mom – who watches the Kardashian shows – says that Scott has changed for the better over the past year, and that Kourtney has turned into an even bigger a—hole (“like her mother,” my mom says). I have to admit, I’m kind of surprised that Scott has stuck around and I’m kind of surprised that Kourtney hasn’t kicked him to the curb by now. And now there’s another Kardashian girl in the mix! Mother of God.

Glad you brought this up. I think it’s wishful thinking on the parents’ part and it sounds ridiculous. Now everybodys naming their spawn “London” and other places they have no connection with and I for one am cringing when redneck people down south that have never even been more than three states away give their kids names of European cities and countries they have no ties to. It’s TACKY.

I am just glad she didn’t give her daghter a boys name like Maxwell or something else that is stupid. Scottland is a middle name so it isn’t such a big deal. And GG I am from the south or sort of anyway and I remember when I was growing up the name of Ashley Nicole was so popular and then it was naming your duaghter Taylor and you can see Taylor Swift and that Taylor Lautner punk are about the age that name became popular around 20 years ago, then it Sierra, etc. It never ends.

When tacky people name their babies after places like London or Paris it really is awful, but I don’t see a problem with naming kids after place names, even if they have no relation to that place, the place name is far from being exclusive, being honest and names like Devon, at least in my opinion are quite nice.

I think it’s tacky as hell when regular, non-famewhore people have second (or third, or fourth) baby showers. The point of a shower is to give you what you need for your first baby.
It’s even grosser when celebs have them. I’m pretty sure they can spring for another crib and some pink outfits.

Their show is fake, the “drama” is scripted, none of it is real. The producers needed a storyline for Scott and Kourtney so they decided to make him a douche and her bossy…otherwise those two would be boring on the show. Now the producers want to make Scott into a nice guy because you can’t keep filming the same story line over and over again. Haven’t you noticed how they are making Kim out this season? So different from the seasons past…they are making her more “fun loving” and “free spirited” lmao.

Just a thing to share with you guys: so in November, she announced the pregnancy and said she was “about” 9 weeks along, explaining how she was pretty confident her pregnancy would be healthy not to wait until the 12th week.
Now, I’m no rocket scientist, but we’re in July now, which means she announced the pregnancy when she wasn’t even 1 month into it.
Like… could it be that she wasn’t even pregnant when she said she was – and only became so later on? Or did she deliver the baby sooner and only announced it now?
I hate conspiracy theories, but you do the math. I only did because it seemed to me she’d been with child for an eternity.

Pregnancies are really more like 10 months long than 9. & she could have carried late. If she did an all natural birth like she claims, that means no induction. She could have been 42 weeks or so when she delivered.

I found out I was prego 11/14/01 (the day efore my boyfriend’s birthday), and was due 7/18. So she had to have announced it right after she found out, because I found out when I was about 6 weeks along.

I give her credit. She’s a great mom and seems to relish being a mom. She adores being a mom and never complains like many of these celebs do about trying to do everything at once, blah, blah. You don’t see a nanny raising her child while she’s off doing whatever. That baby is always with her and work is secondary to her. Being a mom is her priority.
I kind of like Scott. He grows on you. Plus, poor Scott, Kourtney is so in love with her little boy, that Scott is pushed to the side all the time. They both have their faults and put up with each other. For some reason, they work for me.

work? She doesn’t really have a job, just the reality show, which her son is also on…so yeah it would be much easier for her than a person with a 9-5 job. I agree Kourtney is always in full mommy mode, which is good because she’s rich and can afford to be with her kids 24-7, and it’s nice there are no nannies even though the K girls grew up with nannies.

I am so excited to see their baby. Hope they put up the photos soon. Knowing them we won’t have long to wait. And I love that name, I was going to name my daughter that up until a few weeks before and then we changed it. I know Scott has been a royal jerk but he is my favorite one on there and Khourtney is my favorite female on the show. I do agree with Kaiser she does seem to be getting more and more bitchy though. Did you all see last nights episode of Khourt and Kim trying to knock Khloe for actually putting her husband first? It was funny to see these two selfish women try to make Khloe insecure.
